Welcome to the shadowy nihilistic underworld of Film Noir. Looking forward to it!!

Pat Cecil

excellent. The apartment is a great film.

Can't wait! Three of the greatest films of all time. You will love them!

Michael Hartsell

An absolute nightmare week for the Gen Z types out there, welcome to glorious black & white films guys, love it.

You're going to enjoy all three flicks. Sunset Boulevard bothered my mom to the extent that when I showed her how much I enjoyed films she refused to support any effort that allowed me to consider show business as a career. I especially love your other 2 choices.

Retro Maven

Oh well, as least one my three snuck in there. Enjoy all of them DM fans...

"Trying to attract nursing home residents to the channel, Dawn??"🤣 You guys try one, it's fun!

Simon

It's ok.. They're spaced out over three weeks for maximum effect 😁

The three Essentials - Sunset is a classic, and the other two are the easy viral-copycat Reactor-fan picks. (And, interestingly enough, all three have now inspired Broadway musicals. 😅) It would have been nice to have seen some more ingeniously inappropriate Wilder humor like Seven Year Itch, the steamy film-noir of Double Indemnity, or the Cold War lampooning of One Two Three, but, remember, people, adventure is as close as your local Amazon or library.

The point is Dawn hasn't seen any of these. When she's caught up on all the more popular ones she can move on to the more obscure if she wishes.

Eric Janssen

And mine was that everyone on every OTHER reactor site nags for Some Like It Hot and The Apartment as their own personal Greatest Movies Ever Made, bringing into question how many more they ever watched, so the voting was never really in suspense. Getting back to the jokes about the Millennial fear of B/W, there seems to be only a handful dozen of B/W films that reactor fans ever ask for, hence my comment of "People, just watch something you've never heard of, even on your own time; it won't hurt or 'rob you of two hours of your life you'll never get back', unquote!"

Michael Hartsell

Hey Professor, can you please use normal talk so us farm boys can understand the point you're trying to make. Jesus!!

I’m sure a lot of folks will mention The Odd Couple (1968) because of Jack Lemmon. There are a lot of other good movies written by Neil Simon as well.
