I hate when the answer is "Cuz.... aliens!" I'm only watching this video to see what Dawn has to say, since she put in the effort. Can we refer to this one as "Beneath the Raiders of the Lost Ark?"

Robert da Spruce

“Interesting” being code for “that was crap” 😂 Definitely my least favorite in the series.

Escape From The Planet of the Apes The Bride of Frankenstein Wayne’s World 2. > Crystal Skull Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey (and F it! I’m even including this) Alien 3

Michael Hartsell

Please say goodbye to Indiana and say hello to Doc and Marty in "Back to the Future" I, II, and III a true trilogy comedy adventure classic from Steven Spielberg

JL Green

My least favorite of the Indiana Jones franchise, although I was glad to see Marion's return.

Bartleby

The Back to the Future trilogy was directed by Robert Zemeckis, with Spielberg as an executive producer. No need to take credit from other directors and pass it off to Spielberg as well. Spielberg has got enough accolades as it is.

DM, early reviews of the new Indy movie are positive, so that's good news. Airplane II has some good moments and Superman II is as good as the original (though I would like equal time and have you do Batman (1989) as well!!). Yes, the giant ants were the best part of this movie!

Michael Hartsell

Was this post necessary my friend. If I need a fact checker I'll hire one. I'm somewhat new here now set me straight, have you sir been assigned the comment chief patrol officer? This 70 yr old Vietnam Vet don't take well to smack talk from some know it all. Read my comment again where is the word DIRECTOR? Now mind you own damn business.

Bartleby

Hmm… I’m going to say my post was necessary as there was erroneous misinformation being put forth that could be very easily clarified. Instead of being indignant, you could be a little bit more appreciative for my correcting your false impression.

I saw the actual crystal skull they used for the movie a few years ago at a psychic fair in Phoenix. They were charging I think $10 to listen to a 30 minute presentation and to actually touch the skull. Many of the people acted as if they had some sort of divine revelation when they touched it, and said how they could "feel the energy." But I watched a documentary on PBS, I think it was Nova, where they totally debunked the claims, and the Smithsonian Institute studied it and found the microscopic signs of sanding. If I recall correctly, it was made in Mexico. The owner knew all of this but still went on a tour of psychic gatherings across the country to spin their old tales, knowing full well they weren't true. All about the dollars. Hey, at least I can say I saw it, it was pretty cool. Just not magical.

Bartleby

I have no beef with you. And I never attacked your person or insulted you. My clarifying that Steven Spielberg did not direct the Back to the Future movies is not an attack on you. And that is the impression one would walk away with from your original post. Steven Spielberg is already the most celebrated director in the history of the movies. Does he really need to be given credit for the Back to the Future movies as well? I’ve heard people credit Steven Spielberg for the original Star Wars trilogy too. Should those individuals never have it pointed out to them that Spielberg never directed any of the Star Wars movies because they wouldn’t like hearing they were mistaken? So do what you’re going to do. I’m good. Have a great Fourth of July ✌️

Scott

Nice adjective Miss Dawn...

Michael Hartsell

Listen Mr. Spade the bottom line is you tried to fact check me for whatever reason right or wrong. I feel you know if you do again you will face blowback and may just think twice. We'll have to see.

Michael Hartsell

Now as far as what I said if you read it, I say from Steven Spielberg not directed by. The reason I said from SS is when the opening credits start, first thing you will see is "Steven Spielberg Presents". That is what I was referring to I did not know or care who directed it. Just mind your own damn business and we can be best friends.

Mark Morelli

I know this movie was good because of nostalgic love for the first three. It’s not the worst movie ever by no means but yeah it certainly fell short. Also fun fact the actor who played OX in the movie is John Hurt a famous English action who Dawn thought was familiar because she saw him die when an alien bust through his body in the original Alien movie. Also outside of Sean Bean I think he is in second place for most deaths in movie history.

Bill W

Michael Hartsell Agree- WW2 was disappointing. Bogus Journey should never have been made.

Bill W

Sam thanks for pointing that out. Although with Star Wars it gets confusing. Normally, as you said, we credit a film to the director. But with Star Wars we tend to credit all of them as "Lucas" films, even though he didn't direct Empire or Jedi.. and isn't listed as Producer on any of them.
