Fun reaction Dawn! Very enjoyable! It’s widely believed that Speed 2 is a bit crap. I wouldn’t be in any hurry to watch it.

Two things: Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves had a huge crush on each other during and after this film. They just never acted on it. The other thing is it wasn’t $7 million, it was $3.7 million. You missed it because you talk during dialogue.

Ted Little

This is more an amusement park ride than a film but, as such, is a lot of fun. There are a couple of Canadian connections in the movie, beside Keanu Reeves, who grew up in Toronto. The script was by Graham Yost, whose father, Elwy, was the long time host of Saturday Night at the Movies, on TVOntario, which featured classic films and interviews with actors, writers, and directors of the Golden Age. Though Jeff Daniels is an American, a couple of years after "Speed," he starred in a delightful movie called "Fly Away Home," made and set in Southern Ontario.
