So here it is. Every DVD that I've been sent through the PO Box! It's crazy!

Most are in some sort of alphabetical order, except the last few photos. They arrived after I'd sorted through the DVDs and taken the photos! Now, all I need to do is get them on Letterboxd 😰🤣 Can someone add more hours to the day please 🙏🏼

Citizen Kane is an essential film classic that influenced filmmakers for generations! Letterboxed is a handy tool, especially for movie reaction channels. Maybe you can hire a neighborhood boy for data entry instead of having him mow a lawn or walking a dog. Pay him with cookies!

Who cares how many dvd's you have, unless that means you are only going to react to movies you have on hand. If that's the case that's fucked up. Any movie is available, you may have to pay a pound or two, and you're getting paid if I'm not mistaken. Ok all you brown nosers bring it on, I'm ready!!

The red circles with numbers in them are the European rating system. Dead giveaway it’s a European DVD or blu ray.

What you need now are some solid DVD shelves. Can be as simple as some L brackets screwed into the wall beams and light boards on top of them. Just have a man do this for you so you don’t destroy your walls. 😉

Dawn if that's the cinema cut if Donni Darko you have there then great, I hope you watch that soon. If it's the directors cut I wouldn't suggest watching that first because though it's interesting, the director kind of tells you the answers to the mystery of the movie according to him. In the cinema version you get the experience of it being left to work it out yourself, and it makes it much better. By the way i also saw the IT Crowd, I think you would find that funny!

While looking to see if Local Hero was on the shelf (a Scot girl without a copy of Local Hero?), I saw a Laurel & Hardy box, which we may assume contains Sons of the Desert... Also, I'm guessing something out of the Carry On box ("Carry On Cleo"?) would be a new experience for most of the Yanks on the channel. We never got any Carry On over here, you see, and ended up thinking "Are You Being Served?" was original genius.

I can't take credit for those but I'm glad someone sent them. I think Elliot Nesterman also sent her box set of classic screwball comedies, if not mistaken. Can't wait for those, especially His Girl Friday. I think that will be Dawn's first chance to swoon over Cary Grant & we'll be able to put Rosalind Russell on a very short list with Jodie Foster & Mia Farrow of female leads she liked 😆

"Citizen Kane" is a must, especially as you really enjoy films from Hollywood's Golden Age. Orson Welles, who co-wrote, directed, and stars as the titular character, made so many directorial, technical, and editing innovations in the film that it would not be going too far to say that modern cinematography begins with "Citizen Kane."
