"Don" Marie. Damn! Where was I on that one??!! I guess the flipside would be Dawn Corleone.

JL Green

Ha! This is my GOAT because it's about so much more than the Mafia!

RFK Fan

This film NEVER gets old and you'll end up like the rest of us whenever it comes on TV, no matter what hour, you'll end up staying up to watch and rewatch it again and again..

Bartleby

The actor who plays The Godfather, the Don, is Marlon Brando. He’s considered one of the greatest actors of all time. An icon of cinema. You know in Streetcar Name Desire, which you said you’d seen referenced on The Simpsons. Brando is the guy who yells out “STELLA!!!” He’s wearing make up prosthetics in this movie by the way. You have seen Marlon Brando before though. He played Superman’s father from Krypton, who sent his baby boy away in a rocket before Krypton was destroyed.

Pat Cecil

Good stuff! Now this (hopefully) along with Goodfellas, might pave the way for another totally addictive TV series that is one of my 3 greatest of all time. These are, Firefly of course, Star Trek TNG and the one that counts here THE SOPRANOS.

Louis Marzullo

Ah, that reaction did not disappoint, Don Marie! Bravissima! Couple things: 1) The two creeps that beat up the funeral director's daughter were not killed but probably wish they had been, 2) The head in the movie producer's bed was that of the prize $600,000 horse he showed Tom, not a cow 😢 😂, 3) "Va fongool" means "go f*** yourself", 4) Yes, Al Pacino was Michael & Diane Keaton was Kay. Now... line forms behind me to kiss the new Don's hand!!

Pat Cecil

yup, watching this reaction, Dawn or Don, you would LOVE The Sopranos :)

Michael T

Great reaction, Dawn/Don! 👏 Now, next up... Godfather 2 is great, maybe even better than Godfather 1, and completes the full circle of the story. Godfather 3, made many years later, doesn't hold up very well compared with the first two movies.

Jimmy Walker

I was surprised you did not know the opening from "Rugrats go to Paris"

james flack

Dawn, I would think about watching this again, before you attempt to react to "Godfather II". Hell, I must have watched this trilogy at least ten times and I'm still finding things I missed. Love you, and your channel. 😎💛

Louis Marzullo

Yes, those were sugared almonds! Same tradition in Scotland? That's wild! Wonder where else. No other reactor I've seen knew that!

Louis Marzullo

"LISTEN, WOMAN!!" 🤣😂🤣 Poor Apollonia! The Wrath of Dawn!

Dan Cornyn

Godfather 2 is just as good. Godfather 3 not so much.

Zack Gallardo

Yes that is Diane Keaton. My family used to work for her when I was younger and have met her several times. Such a cool person. Her whole family are all pretty nice actually.

Retro Maven

Yes, the coveted BME from Dawn Marie! Welcome to the fans of the Godfather club, always room for more. Some of the questions you raised in your outro will be answered in GF II. Hope you react to that one soon while your emotions from watching the first film are still fresh. Grazie Don Marie ✊

Dawn, the daughter who is getting married... on this, the day of his daughter's wedding.... is Talia Shire. You'll see her again when you watch Rocky. (Godfather and Rocky were both Best Picture Oscar winners- and Talia was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Godfather II and Best Actress in Rocky) She is Francis Ford Coppola's (the director) sister and Nicholas Cage's aunt.. in the Coppola family tree.

Bartleby

She already saw Jason Schwartzman in Grand Budapest Hotel. Schwartzman was the hotel clerk speaking with Jude Law in the time period when the hotel is on the decline.

Louis Marzullo

Haha, very good!! Or Kay. Yeah, 5 syllables. They would've called her 'Loni' in U.S. at the hair salon. She wouldn't like that

Louis Marzullo

Just enjoying a re-watch. Such a good catch for you to notice the "puppet-master" logo first time around. And in the scene with Enzo the baker, you asked "What did Michael see?" when he was holding the lighter. Great question. One theory: he noticed that unlike Enzo, his hands weren't shaking & realized he could do this life, that he was "wired" for it, to paraphrase you. And I think those were bread rolls when Michael had dinner with Kay in her hotel room, not sausages 😄

Brandon Williams

This was a lot of fun to watch... Your impression was hilarious! And most reactors get a little squeamish with all these murders, whereas you... seem to just want more murders. Sergio Leone (director of the Dollars Trilogy) turned this down to do Once Upon a Time in America (maybe you should watch that, too!). I can't help but wonder what this movie would've been like with him at the helm. (And get well soon!)

Bartleby

There would have been montage shots of the barrels of pistols firing over and over and over! Second Dawn watching “Once Upon a Time in America”
