Wheee hello everyone, happy 2023! Or well, since I live on the west coast, I always celebrate New Years after everyone's already done...so in four and a half hours!

Good to see that a lot of people are staying for this month's turnover by the way! It's really appreciated~! It's a little rough of how broken The National Pokedexxx is, since it's such a large game that I tried to make with a program that wasn't built for massive games like that. I'm thinking now it might be a lost cause to like...try to add more to that game, which sucks because of how hard I worked on it (and how hard I had to tough through that awful sickness I had lmao). Sorry y'all

That being said; going into 2023, I'm going to be hard focusing on continuing Shifter Labs 2: Starfall. In fact, I'm pushing my motivation to actually complete the full game before taking on a new project. Not too long ago I posted a poll in which I asked people how many sectors per update I should be posting, and the general consensus was that you guys basically want as much content as fast as possible (1 sector per update). I've taken that into account with my thoughts and I've reached a good middle-ground.

I'm going to be making 2 sectors per update, and I will be releasing them every second Saturday.

So, this means Sagittarius Library and Scorpio Testing Labs will be made and released on January 14th, then Virgo Nursery and Leo Botany Labs will be made and released on January 28th, etc.

If that keeps up, the whole game will be done and released on February 25th.

THAT BEING SAID, some sectors might be larger than others, and there might be some updates where I'll only release one sector in an update. Though I will always be aiming to get two done for y'all, and if I'm really in the groove, I can get three...though there are no promises for that.

I think two game releases and four sectors to play with per month sounds reasonable for both me and you all!

Anyway, if you've forgotten, I'm now doing this full-time. I'm taking a long break from my grocery store in order to see if this game-design thing can sustain me, and it's a little scary, but I'm very excited. I have until the start of April, three months, to decide if this game design job can sustain me, and if I think it does, I'll hand in my letter of resignation at my work and never look back.

It's been weird actually. I've always had this subconscious feeling every time I look at the clock late at night, where I would go "ooh gosh, I have to work soon/tomorrow, and I don't have time to work on my game for Patreon..."But now, work has been completely wiped from the equation. I have an arguably infinite amount of time to work on the thing that I love, doing the thing I love. I have a very rare and interesting opportunity ahead of me, and I'm so excited to see where it goes and what heights I can achieve.

Happy New Years to everyone here, to all who support me, and to everyone who believes in my effort to become a game designer!
