Waaaooww!

Before I get into my sobby omg thank you so much thing, I want to say that I've made a survey for all patrons! It's just about like, how your experiences with me have been, what you might wanna see more from me, what specific games you like...

Thank you for your opinions!! Okay, onto the sob parts!

I could say the whole, like, "I never thought I would get here~!" schpeal, but like, it really is the case. I never thought in a billion years I would get to be in this privileged position of working for a community of fans who like my work.

A little under one year ago, I was still working at a grocery store that I would never thought I'd leave. October 27th was when I uploaded Shifter Labs 1, which started me on this incredible path (I hope to actually have something planned by then this year so that I can properly celebrate it!), but at the time I was still working at this full-time retail job.

I remember how floored I was by the game's support, with so many people joining the Patreon page to play it every hour. My phone was blowing up and I wanted to show all my friends lol.

About a month later, during the late hours of closing the store, I told one of my supervisors that I was thinking of quitting because of how well SL1 was doing. They walked me through the process of what that would look like, and we ended up settling on me taking three months off. If this game dev business really does work, then I can quit by the end of those three months, and if it's only a flash in the pan, then there's no harm in going back.

Those three months started on January 1st of 2023, right in the middle of Shifter Labs 2's development. Things were great, so, once March rolled around, I handed in my notice of quitting to my boss, to which he responded:"I...had a feeling this was coming."He didn't even know about my game development career, he just knew that I wanted out of there for the five years I had stayed in that job. I thanked everyone, and then never, ever, ever looked back. I don't plan on ever setting my eyes on that dreary store again. blleeghh.

AAAAanyway! Thank you for the almost-year you've all allowed me to do this, and here's to many more years! In order to get to know how these years might go, I've made a survey for you guys to fill out so that you can communicate any questions, comments, or concerns!

Pleeease fill it out so that I know what you guys want moving forwards!
