I really liked writting this story! And now, it´s time for its finale.

Hope you like the final chapter! I wanted to make things, you know, special for all characters. (at least the main ones ;D)

Chapter 9

Everyone was gone, and Matt was now sitting in his bed. Worried.

He was a bit numb, careless, about Sally´s departure. She cheated, what a surprise, right? Deep down, he knew something like this would happen.

When someone´s on a relationship without love, on a dying relationship, they often look for love somewhere else. And she certainly found it, with someone else…

Was he upset? No, his relationship with Sally was dead, there´s no way he could have fixed it. Can you fix something that´s broken? Sometimes, but what if it´s shattered into too many pieces? When you can´t even find the shape on them, when you can´t put them together. That´s where his relationship was.

But things with Brianna were different, still, it all grew based on a lie.

And now, he´s sitting in bed, trying to find the right words. Can he explain? Will she listen? He hurt her, didn´t he?

He feels bad, but, how miserable might she be feeling right now? She stormed out of the room, he lied. He betrayed her, he cheated, not just with Sally. He tricked Brianna, lied to her, and all of the feelings they shared, will she think they are also a lie?

Later, when he found what he thought were the right words. Or at least a good start, he went next door.

Brianna must be there. He gave her some space, and now, it´s time to fix things up. That´s if he can ever fix them.

knock knock

He rang the bell, and waited, then he knocked. Maybe she wasn´t there? He waited, rang, knocked, but she didn´t show up. Or that´s what he thinks.

“Brianna, please, let me in! I can explain!” Just a chance, he needs a chance.

She was listening, but she was too hurt to open the door. Too hurt to look at his face. Too sad, too mad. Was she a joke? Why would he do something like that?

She was sincere, she was honest, and he just took all of it and threw him aside. Filling up his blank spaces with lies. Sharing the moment, but not the whole truth.

Now, she feels as a woman who was fooled by a man that wanted nothing but a temporary relationship.

Why was he with her? Was it because of her body? Was it because he was bored? Was she just an amusement? Didn´t he care about the feelings they shared? About the moments they had?

Maybe Brianna was just a distraction, someone with whom to fool while his girlfriend came back.

“Brianna, please!” He yelled, stepping back to look through the window. He was hoping she´d listen. And she was.

Suddenly, the door was open, and from inside came a woman. The same 6´10” lady, but her smile was gone. Instead, he could see the tears, drying up in her face. Her eyes were red, and so were her cheeks. She´s been crying, he knows so. How long? Maybe all evening…

“Go away!” She screamed.

His heart sank in his chest, he hurt her. He was trying to avoid the truth, and in the end, he hurt her.

“Brianna, please, just let me…” he started, but she´s had enough.

“What? Let you LIE some more? She´s gone, isn´t she? Yeah, I saw her, leaving with another man. And I´m glad! I´m glad you got what you deserved. Women… we´re NOT for your amusement, you know?!” He deserves it. He can´t blame her, he´s got this coming.

“No, I don´t…” he´s not thinking that, he´s never thought that.

“I´m not a plan B! She´s gone and I´m not… going to replace her! I thought you were nice, but you´re just full of shit!” He was speechless, he made her feel that way.

Plan B? A just-in-case backup? A replacement? Is that what she thinks she is? Is that how she truly feels? Is that what she thinks he wanted from her?

“Listen!” Brianna was hurt, but she was also mad. She walked towards him, the imposing 6´10” amazon, looking down at him with anger in her eyes. Then, she pointed at him and just let it all out. “I trusted you, I truly did! And you just used me! I don´t want to see you ever again. EVER!” he would´ve rather if she hit him.

Slap him in the face, make him fly a couple feet away. At least that would´ve relieved a part oft the guilt. But this was not fixing anything.

She could´ve beaten him up, and he´d still feel bad. What she did was to set him away. Break up things with him.

Brianna thought he was a nice guy. A decent man. Someone who didn´t judge her because she was too tall, well, it seems he had a secret. And now, she feels as if she´s been used. Cheated on, lied at, tricked.

“Go away, I don´t want to see you no more…” and then, she went back inside.

Matt was speechless. He simply listened to her, without knowing what else to say. How to fix it. He stood there until she closed the door and then, when he heard the door´s lock, he knew it was time to leave.

What has he done? It´s the first time he meets someone he actually likes, and not just based on looks, this was real. And he blew it up. Maybe he´s the problem…

Matt walked away that day and decided to leave her alone. He won´t bother her no more. At least not for a while…

A month went on quite fast. And how has he handled two break-ups in a day?

Has he lost it and gotten fat because he can only find comfort on food? No. Actually, he ate nothing that day. He didn´t feel an urge to fill up his inner void with food.

Did he decide to become a new man and start working out? To see if an active life and some exercise could change the way he feels? To punish himself at the gym and see if it can change something other than his physique?

Not at all. Maybe it´ll help people forget, but he´s not one who wants to forget. Sally´s already forgotten, she´s in the past, and he doesn´t really care much about it. His mind´s focused on how to fix things with Brianna.

This has been in his mind, every single day, after. Not every single moment of the day, but at least it´s a present thought in his mind.

Several questions come to his mind. Does she hate me? Would it have been different if I had said the truth? Maybe she would´ve come to comfort him once Sally was gone, that would´ve been better.

Is she still hurt? Does she remember him? This one´s silly, of course she does. He greeted her once, while she was coming home from work, but she pretended she didn´t listen.

How can I make things right? That´s a question he hasn´t been able to answer.

For once, once in a long time, Matt had something special. Brianna was like no other lady he´s met before. She´s kind, considerate, she was funny and, let´s admit it, she was gorgeous!

It´s not like Sally wasn´t worth it, but things between them are just done. It was lovely, but she´s gone, she´s been gone even before they broke up. And maybe that´s a reason why he´s not thinking on her right now.

He´s not heart-broken because of Sally, he´s feeling bad, and that´s because of what he did to Brianna. Maybe she was too good for him, maybe this is a way of the universe to show him he´s not worthy…

One day, he just woke up, tired of this. She´s still his neighbor, it´s impossible for them not to see each other. At some point, this has to be weird, uncomfortable. He must, at least fix this.

At the very least, he has to apologize. Even if things will never get fixed, he should apologize.

And he´s insecure about that, having second thoughts. He only wants to make things right, but what if she doesn’t want to see him?

Brianna really doesn´t want to see his face, she said it, never again. But he wants to show her he´s not the dick she thinks he is. He must, at least, explain.

Ding Dong

He was right out of her door, weeks after the incident. Weeks safter everything came to the light. His only goal is to apologize, maybe he can´t make things right, but at least he´d like to make amends.

This time, for some reason, she opened the door. Brianna came out, probably she was in a bit of a rush and wanted to get to whoever was at the door as fast as she could and get back to her business. Probably she was cooking, because she´s wearing an apron and has her hair fixed in a pony tail.

After so much time without seeing her, there´s two things he forgot. One, how pretty she was. The second she stepped out, he was speechless.

Maybe it was the light behind her, but she seemed to have a glow around her body. His heart stopped for a second, he even forgot why he was there. Dumbfounded by her beauty.

And the second thing is, he forgot how tall she was. Brianna´s a 6´10” woman, a whole foot taller than him. Aside of being dumbfounded by her beauty, he´s sure that, if she gets pissed off, this won´t be nice. For real, he must be careful with his words.

Brianna´s expression rapidly changed as soon as she spotted him. At first, she opened the door with a look of confusion, the one you get when an unexpected visitor comes to your door. However, it was soon changed into one of disgust.

“Oh, it´s you… what do you want?” she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

He knows his time´s running, she´s tapping one of her feet against the floor. Which means, he must be quick, VERY quick.

“I… I…” he planned what to say, but now, he forgot. The impression she has on him, that´s a bit overwhelming.

“You… you… what? Seriously, haven´t you done enough?!” Maybe he should´ve waited longer? Perhaps, somewhere around a month isn´t long enough?

Well, of course it isn´t long enough. But he needed this to be soon, a little later than he would´ve wanted, actually. But she opened the door, so this is his chance!

“No. I… I haven´t done enough. Actually, I haven´t done anything…” he said.

Brianna, at first, thought he was just making fun of her. Does he mean he didn´t cheat enough? No, it´s unlikely.

She must be fair, if he was a wise guy who knows how to fix things with words, then, on day one, he would´ve found a way to make amends. A way to trick her, again, and convince her to go back to him. That if he actually wanted her back.

But he´s not that guy. If the Matt she met was the real one, then he´s a bit of an introvert who panics a little under certain pressure. If she put her hand on his chest, she might feel how it´s racing right now.

This hasn´t been easy on her. Just when she thought she had found a nice guy, he turns out to be in a relationship. And this is not the first time it happens, but it is definitely the first time he choses to lie and keep her on the loop while his actual girlfriend comes back.

She´ll have to see what he has to say.

“I… I lied, and I´m sorry. I… I should´ve known better. Known better not to lie to you, I… and I think it´s too late to admit I have, well that I had, a girlfriend.” He started.

“You think so?” she was sarcastically speaking.

“I know I did wrong, and that I deserve it if you close the door right on my nose. But I… I didn´t come here for you. I don´t really need you to forgive me,” she rose an eyebrow on that, “what I need is to… to explain you how… how wonderful you are.” She thought he was about to be very rude, but there´s something else.

“I didn´t come her for me, I came here… for you. Brianna,” he looked up at her eyes, those pretty, sparkling eyes, “I hurt you, and I´m sorry. You were, you ARE the most wonderful person I´ve met. And you don´t deserve what I did. I just… I don´t know what I was thinking. I knew it was wrong, but I just kept going. I guess I couldn´t believe it myself, why would you want to be with me? I´m more of a loser than I seem. My point is, I didn´t use you just because my girlfriend was away, the time we shared together, that was truly special to me. You are, in so many ways, the greatest person I´ve met. And, I would´ve been lucky to be with you.” That was tender.

Brianna didn´t know what to say. But he´s lied to her once, and she can´t be sure if he´s telling the truth. “How do I know you´re telling the truth?” she asked.

“You can´t, I know you won´t trust me ever again. That´s why I made a decision, I´m selling my place. A real estate agent will come here tomorrow. I… I know I messed things up, and I don´t really want to be that awkward neighbor who´s been a jerk. So, I´ll save you that and I´ll just leave. I´ll go so that you don´t have to see me no more…” He said it.

He spent so much time thinking on this. If he´s done wrong and, just by looking at him, she gets mad or it brings back an unpleasant memory, he´ll fix that. She won´t ever have to see him again. Just as she wanted, for her sake. For her inner peace and her mental health.

And it´ll be hard if he lives right next door, therefore, he´ll move away.

“Once again, I´m sorry. You… you deserve better.” Matt said and then, he turned and started walking away. Giving this the closure he thought she needed.

Maybe he´s just meant to be single. If love comes find him, he´ll be ready this time.

“Wait!” he heard, from behind, as he walked away.

Matt turned, he wasn´t even sure if Brianna was paying attention to what he was saying. But, it seems, she was.

“You can´t just leave!” Brianna declared.

“Why not? I messed up. I don´t want you to suffer for what I did.” He said.

“And why do you think I´m suffering?” she asked.

“You were crying and…” he started.

“Yes, I cried. But why do you want to leave?” she asked.

“Because you said you never want to see me again. I thought this would be a way to guarantee that. To… to make you feel better.” He added.

“So, you´ll run away? That´s what I´m hearing?” she´s making him get confused.

“So… I shouldn´t?” he asked.

“That´s not what I said.” She added.

“Then… then what should I do? You don´t want to see me, but you don´t want me to leave. I… I thought that you wanted me to leave you alone.” He said.

“Yes, but… not forever…” she admitted. Which means, he´s still got a shot…

Matt´s so confused at the moment. Does she want him to leave? Does she want him to stay?

“I… I´m so confused! What do you want me to do?” He said, he thought that´s what she wanted, but that´s not it? Then, what is it? “How can I make amends for what I´ve done for you?” It´ll be easier if she tells him, literally, step by step, what to do.

“I…” Brianna started, standing right in front of him. “I want you to make things right, and… how will you do it if you´re gone?” she doesn´t seem upset now, she´s calmed a bit.

“So… I should stay?” he asked.

“Mhmm…” she added.

“And… does this mean I´m forgiven?” he had to be sure.

“No.” she said.

“What?!” this was starting to be so annoying. She was giving him some hope, and then taking it away from him. Was she playing with him? Well, it´ll be sort of the same he did… similar, at least.

Brianna sighed. Maybe it´ll be easier to show him than to say it. So, she rolled her eyes a little, looked straight at him, and then she bent, bent in for a kiss.

He froze, she came to him so fast, and then he felt her lips. Her sweet, tender lips.

“I think we should start again.” She said.

“Huh?” he was a bit confused.

“I´m Brianna, I´m new here. You are?” she said, putting her hand in front of him, for a handshake.

“Oh, I´m Matt.” He understood, kind of, what she was trying to do.

“Nice meeting you, Matt. And you´re single, RIGHT?” she´s not letting things slide just like that.

“Yes… I am.” He said.

“Oh, so this time´s for real?” she asked.

“What? Hey, you´re making me so confused right now!” he complaint.

“I guess now you see how I felt. But I´ll be honest. I do think you´re cute, still cute. So I´ll give you one more chance. But I mean it, no more lies, understood?” she said.

“I understand.”

“Great! Now, a nice good start will be for you to treat me some dinner. I´m sure that, what I had on the stove, it´s pretty much burned by now.” It was nice to see her smile again.

“Ok, dinner´s on me.” He smiled too.

“Wonderful. But make sure it´s healthy. I won´t lie, I may have been eating a little… extra since the… incident. Can you tell?” she turned over, showing him her butt.

Her mesmerizing, and noticeably bigger butt. A thicker peach, which also bounced a bit as she turned. Matt swallowed, aroused by the amazon´s thick ass.

“I… I…” he was overwhelmed.

“It´s fine. We can talk about that later. Not today, maybe, but some other day…” He´s got a long way to go, but at least things are fine.

Slowly, he will make amends. And she was right, leaving was not the way. Instead, he should stay and make things right. Treat her like the queen she is.

He thought he had found a sweet neighbor, but now, things might be heading somewhere nicer…

THE END…
