After a long time... a one-shot.

the plot´s quite simple, this is a dating show, however... there´s size-change ;D

Part One

“Welcome to our show! I´m your host, John” Said the man with the expensive, custom-made, suit.

All lights were on him. A crowd could be heard. This man was on a set, a TV set. With live audience. Which makes sense, after all, he´s the host.

This was a real show. With a real host. The main theme? Love, isn´t it obvious? This is a dating show, and right now, our host´s about to introduce the guests.

“Now, let´s introduce our guests!” Said the host, to what all the crowd cheered.

“Let´s start with the ladies! She likes the walks in the park, she´s Shelby!” Soon, another light turned on and revealed the first lady, a blonde girl, with a pink top, and denim overalls.

“Loves nothing more than a good book, she´s Susan!” Now, the light´s went on and showed a brunette, with glasses and a night´s dress.

“Doesn´t mind adding some spice when it´s needed. She´s Trixie!” This lady had tanned skin, raven hair and was wearing a red dress. One that showed off her cleavage.

Everyone was clapping and cheering as the host continued.

On the other side, we have the guys.

“He calls himself a movie-guy. Arnold!” A guy with messy-done hair and a big sweater.

“He likes to take care of his body, but also will take care of you, Trent!” A guy with a tight shirt, but formal. Showing off the effort he puts on the gym.

“A sweet lover that will cook for you, Scott!” Blonde, blue eyes, slim complexion, and with a big smile on his face.

All of the guests have been introduced, now, it was time to explain the rules.

This was the very first episode of this show. The pilot. After this, the TV chain will decide whether to air it or just store it as a non-working idea.

This was the personal project of a wealthy man, and he was eager to know it will work. And eager to see the actual results of it. Needless to say, this is not like any other dating show.

In the end, they will be matched, but not by a machine, but for whom they like. The main goal is that everyone´s a winner. All of them are single, and everyone will walk back home with a future date. Or even, a couple. It will depend on how things go.

For now, the main goal of the show is to pair them up. And, a few other things…

“Welcome, everyone.” Said the host as he greeted all guests. “We all know why you´re here. To find love!” Said the host.

Everyone there was aware that there were no losers. In the end, everyone will win a date with one of the ladies before them, and vice versa. The question is, who will they date?

All women are attractive, and all men are too. However, there are a few odd things there…

Age´s not that much of an odd thing. Everyone in there is on a range. From 21 to 29 years old. Young people in their twenties. Some on their late twenties, some on their early twenties. But the main deal´s something else… height.

For some reason, all men are the exact same height. Which was requested by the person who interviewed them. In this episode, they wanted men of six-feet-tall. It was the only request. Which was odd, but they thought it wasn´t such a big deal.

Same thing goes for the ladies. But not the same height. All women must be 5´6”, and they should not wear any heels. Which was weird. Why did they want them all in flats? Was there some stage that implied physical activity? Were they supposed to run or something? Shouldn´t they all be in sports clothes then?

It wasn´t the case, they just didn´t want any contrast in heights.

To the left of the stage, there´s three beautiful ladies, all standing at 5´6”. And on the other side of the stage, there´s three handsome men, standing at 6´. The height part was strange, there´s no need to say it, but if those were the rules they had, everyone was fine. After all, they were the ones who requested to be on the show.

Height´s just a requirement. Right?

“This round´s very simple. Right now… just chat. Get to know each other.” The host announced.

This was not so regular on a show. At least on a dating one. The host was not going to make any questions, he was not going to ask any sort of trivia. His only command was for them to talk. Speak with each other.

Share, and that´s it.

“You have ten minutes, and, at the end of the round, there will be a question. But don´t worry about it for now…” and so, all mics on the guests chests were open, and everyone had a chance to speak.

This was odd. Wasn´t the host supposed to guide everything? He wanted them to chat? That´s it? This round will be just about chatting?

Well, maybe it´s like a way for them to introduce themselves. The six of them have ten minutes, in total, to share. Talk about themselves, maybe explain why they´re there. Or, show off, maybe just a little. After all, the main goal is to appear attractive, right?

“Ladies,” Started Trent, taking the lead and being the first one to speak.

He wanted to show off, after all, he was the muscular guy. He wasn´t enormous, but he had a nice built.

“How´s it going? My name´s Trent, like John said. I´m 26-years-old. I´m a bodybuilder, as you can see by these muscles…” he flexed a little, Susan didn´t show much interest, Shelby giggled and Trixie, she was eating him with her eyes.

“Speaking about myself, I like to stay active. I work out six days a week. I also do some hiking; I like running at the beach. But I´m not all about sports and exercise, I also like to relax, you know, chill and enjoy the other´s company.”

Now, it was time for one of the ladies to speak. And this was the energetic Trixie.

“Nice!” She said. “My name´s Trixie! Nice to meet you all. I´m 28-years-old. I like to stay active, but not so much with exercise, if you know what I mean…” she likes cardio, but not the one you get running. “I like to party, meeting new people. Trying new things. I´m a very open-minded person to that.” She tried to stick out her voluptuous chest a bit. Trying to seduce the men before her.

“We can do whatever you like. Wherever you like…” she said, with a more sensuous tone now. “And, however you like it…” she definitely means sex.

Trent liked what she was saying. Scott blushed a little. And Arnold… he was just looking at her boobs and nodding, not sure what she was saying.

“Well,” started Scott, who was himself a bit of a shy guy. “My name´s Scott. I´m 27. Uhm… I´m not much of an outdoors person. I prefer to stay at home and, well, enjoy each other´s company.” He thought it sounded boring, so he added a little some.

“But, you know, I don´t mind going out. The mall, the beach, a walk in the park. I´d love to do… whatever you like to do.” That sounded as if he was trying to please them.

Trixie thought he would allow her to do the dommy part in bed. Shelby thought he was cute. And Susan liked the part of enjoying each other´s company.

“My name´s Shelby. I´m 25. I like to stay in touch with my inner self. You know? Meditate, yoga. I believe that knowing ones self, truly knowing yourself, is the highest goal you can reach. And, if you´re able to share that with a special someone… that´s also cool.” She didn´t spoke much.

Trent wasn´t much interested, Scott nodded, and Arnold looked at her, but mainly wondering what he´ll have for dinner.

“I guess it´s my turn, right?” Started Arnold. “What´s up guys. I´m Arnold. I´m 22. I like to spend my free time watching movies, or series. Not much of a movie critic, I just do it for fun. But I do have other interests. I like to Travel, try new food. I also like to draw… and I guess I also watch a lot of tutorials on how to do stuff…” He was quite a distracted guy too. But he had pretty eyes.

Last, but not least. Susan. Who was herself a quiet person. Not shy, just quiet.

“Hi. My name´s Susan. I´m 24. I like to read. I spend all of my free time reading. I also like to go visit the library. Sometimes I just go on and pick a random book I haven´t read before. I like when things are quiet, more than loud stuff. I don´t like big crowds. And, I believe the best way to connect with someone it´s by talking. Getting to share and know each other. Which sometimes it´s easier with a book, since you can read it completely. And no, I´m not anti-social. I just like to be with myself sometimes…”

Trent thought she was boring. Arnold thought it was like him with his movies, but with books. And Scott just listened.

“Well, time´s up.” Said out host. “I hope you´ve known each other better after this first round. I know the public has. Now, before we move on to the next round, it´s time for our question.” And so, he pulled a piece of paper and started reading.

Everyone thought this would be related with something they had said, as if they were paying attention to the others. But the question wasn´t like that.

“Ok, the first one to get the answer, please click the red button in front of you.” And so, all buttons turned red. “Now, for this first round, tell me, what´s eleven squared?” That was it? Math?

Everyone had the idea that it would be something different. Something related to dating, but… eleven squared? That´s just eleven times eleven.

Susan was the first one to click the button.

“Susan, what´s the answer?” the host said.

“A hundredth-twenty-one.” She said.

“Correct!” John said.

There was a marker behind both of them. Each with their own. And after Susan answered, one point appeared. She scored one point for the ladies.

But that wasn´t it. Something else was about to happen.

Suddenly, all of the guests felt odd. Something was off. As soon as Susan scored, something changed… their heights.

It seems, ladies did more than just earning a point. They earned some inches. Two, to be precise.

All ladies went from 5´6” to 5´8”, but, from where did they got those inches? From no other but the guys. Who went from 6´ to 5´10”.

They could feel the change on their bodies. And John, the host, only confirmed it.

“Well, it seems our first ones to win are the ladies. Now, all ladies have become 5´8”, and our men, who lost, are down to 5´10”.” As John made the announcement, all the contestants could think of was, what´s going on?!
