Yesssss. Panic Restaurant made the list!

Andrew Jadczak cant figure out how to ship a made Brandy oldfashioned sour, but will gladly mail garlic dill pickles next summer

Not that it is your job to do so, but explain what I am missing for liking this game? It seems very monotonous and the lack of knowing what to spend money on in the over abundance of shops overtook what I do like in comedy and art style. It was a rental back in the day I didn’t rent again, and last time I tried to play it a few years ago on an emulator I did t stick it it again either. Maybe it’s a better game idea you like using a guide/walkthrough, but that’s not me. Thanks for any answers :)

Gotta say River City Ransom cuz u boiz r River City Handsome

Part of the fun is figuring out what food/items give you the best amount of health for the money, and what levels up the different stats. It can be a little grindy, but you can re-fight bosses to get cash fast. The advanced difficulty mode is really challenging too. I can see why some people wouldn't like it though. It is fairly repetitive. Great two player game though.

To reiterate what Adam said here. It being a NES game it unfortunately is like a lot of game of this era where things are a bit cryptic and you have to explore and kind of just figure things out by doing different things. I grew up with these type of games so it's not as difficult to get past those hurdles. For it's time this kind of game was way ahead of it's time. As for walkthroughs, it does make this game more playable and not as tedious in some parts for sure, and I'm quilty of doing this with older JRPGs, so I don't blame you if you want to use them for older games like this. Though if you can find that Scott Pilgrim game from like 2010, it's pretty much this game but far more streamlines and much better mechanics and a overall better game. That game was pretty much a huge inspiration for that game.
