I loved noozles!! <3 Nick 80’s anime was the best!

Booboo

Hey. Hey guys When are we gonna have special guest General Luke back on?

Rachel Friemel

In the 80s we did either outsource a lot of our animation to Japan or we “borrowed” theirs, botched it. 😂

Rachel Friemel

Oh oh! I also didn’t think nausicaa was bad, but before we got the uncut version, we had a botched poorly dubbed version on VHS that was horrible

It's funny you guys mentioned North Korean animation. I don't know if they still do, but some animation companies would license out animation work to SEK, the official North Korean animation studio. Guy Delisle wrote and illustrated a graphic novel called 'Pyongyang' about his experience working with them, which I highly recommend.

Also, I nearly choked on my drink when you started acting out the anime tropes with the sound effects. Good times.

I also fell off of Attack on Titan for realizing it would never end. These days I guess the end is more in sight but when S1 was out it seemed like "one of those shows". Recently, I binged Kabeneri which is almost the same show, animated by the same studio but it's a concise 12 episodes or so.

Gotta agree with Kevin, everyone should watch Yuru Camp. Or read the manga. It really stands out among the "cute girls doing cute things" slice of life anime, and the artwork for the manga is gorgeous. I only wish they'd do an English dub so I can get my friends who won't watch subs to watch it too.

Watch My Hero Academia, god dammit
