I’ve never had another gaming experience quite like Her Story. So unique. So interesting. I wanna play it again just thinking about it.

Wow, what a 90s court tv flahsback! Reminds of the good ole days when I had my friend Dremel drill OJ's intiials into the griptape of my Bart Simpson skateboard, taped a Wendy's kids meal Carmen San Diego passport to the bottom and every time I rode it down that sidewalk I would pretend I was running away from the LAPD on my white Bronco.

I love how they tied the FMV mechanic into the retro aesthetic of poking around on an old computer. But I also love it’s not just pastiche. Her Story isn’t nudging you in the ribs going “haha remember how clunky FMV games used to be?” It manages to realize the potential of the genre.

I’m curious how playing the game on mobile changes the experience. I played it on desktop and it felt immersive having the fake reflection of the game’s computer screen on my own screen. I played the whole game in a single session and just felt like I had been totally sucked into another world. I wonder how it changes the experience playing it in multiple sessions on the go.

Never heard of it, if the title is any indication I believe the protagonist to be a lady. That's a plus?

The game's got such a great sense of atmosphere. It's just you and an old computer in a quiet, dingy room, slowly sifting through the past together. Chilling! Overall I really enjoyed the game and though it was a really novel use of FMV.
