Hey all! We talk about Rise of Skywalker. Obviously, heavy spoilers. Every spoiler. We discuss it all. Sorry if you haven't seen this one yet! But now you can watch it and then just listen to this after like a personal lil' book club!

Also we talk about The Mandalorian and Galaxy's Edge (and Josh decides to buy more Lightsabers).

I think we can agree this movie was clearly two movies put into one. I liked Rise of Skywalker, it was a hot mess but I genuinely enjoyed it. I also enjoyed Last Jedi but Johnson's script kinda backed up Disney and in turn new director J.J into a corner to try to tie everything into a satisfying conclusion. I think they fucked up by trying to have 3 different directors and making the movies round robin style. I've come to the realization that with 42 years of lore on it's back no movie is going to live up to anyone's expectations and that's totally ok with me. With all the backlash all movies have gotten I put all 9 episodes into perspective and I asked myself, when was the Star War put on a pedestal for "high class cinema"? Star Wars has always been about the grand spectacle and achievements in technology in cinematography, but hey! None of this matters at the end of the day cause Star Wars prints money and there will always be Star Wars movies and we're gonna keep watching them until the day we die lol

Generally Depressing

Really gave me blue balls about those Japan trip deats. Looking forward to next time.
