Real-talk time. I think the reason you guys aren't really feeling the game is because 90% of its charm is in its dialogue, and instead of reading it, you're either talking over it or having Nick just sum it all up from a walkthrough; you're getting the hard info without any of the charm. In hindsight, I think the playthrough would've worked a lot better with two guys instead of three, because with three people there's so much conversation that it's taking all of your attention away from the game. It's also caused you to miss key gameplay components, many of which not knowing about has caused you frustration by not understanding how the game works. At this point the game has become background noise to your banter, so the game and all of its charm is completely passing you guys by without you even noticing. Then again, the FFVII playthrough only had two guys, and that one was really painful, too, because an RPG is nothing but dialogue and battling, and you guys skipped through both the entire time. It totally ruined the playthrough and everything that makes an RPG not just great, but makes an RPG what it is. Maybe the common denominator is Nick, because the Dragon Warrior playthrough was great, and I notice that Paul is really trying to pay attention to the game as much as he can, but conversation between Nick and Josh is always dominating everything and Paul always has to struggle to pull Nick and Josh's attention back to the game. I just get the sense that Nick isn't much of an RPG guy, because he seems to be the kind of person who doesn't care to stop and smell the roses of these kinds of games, he just wants to get through them with as much utilitarian efficiency as possible, so maybe RPG playthroughs would be better with just Josh and Paul. I don't dislike Nick. I'm a big fan of all three of you and have watched literally everything you guys have ever done (at least as much of it as I've been able to find), so I'm not a hater. I love you guys, so I'm giving it to you straight because I respect you. I'm just observing what's bummed me out the most about your RPG playthroughs, and maybe Nick's not the best for RPGs because he doesn't seem to have the patience required to let them shine. Yes, we're here for your banter, but we're also here to watch you guys experience games we love, and you're not allowing yourselves much room to do that with these RPGs, which causes you to miss everything that's so great about them, which causes you to complain about them and not really enjoy them much, which is a serious downer. Granted, I am three months behind on these, so maybe the playthrough improves, but if it's like this 45 episodes in, it's probably safe to assume that this is just how it is and how it will continue to be. Again: big, diehard, longtime fan. I just think you guys can do better specifically with these longplays. It's very frustrating and disheartening watching you dog on a game we love because you've rushed through it and missed everything that's so great about it by not paying it much attention. I care about you guys and what you do, which is why I'm bothering to critique it and ask you to do it better in the future. I hope this message finds you well and is taken in a tone of love, not hate. Respectfully, Your fan Lee

Andrew, everything is worth taking seriously if you care about making and/or consuming quality content which represents a worthy investment of both your own and your audience's time, attention, and energy.
