Hey y'all! We recently finished playing through Earthbound for ContinueQuest. The last episodes will be releasing over the next couple of weeks. We also played a really short game called Frog Detective! It was fun - you'll see those two episodes after Earthbound finishes up.

If you didn't know, ContinueQuest is back! Right now it is an exclusive video series for our $5 and up patron tiers. We may release the Frog Detective eps as a freebie.

We're looking for recommendations for our next game. We'd love to do a few more shorter games if possible. Maybe even something that's multiplayer. Leave some games below and let us know what you want to see. We'll probably pick out a couple and make a poll for everyone to vote on.

A beat em up would be cool, like Streets of Rage 4 or River City Girls

Rachel Friemel

Chulip isn’t multiplayer but it is a strange/fun one and I’ll even send you my hand drawn map for one part! 😂

Electro_Specter

Always going to throw out LSD: Dream Emulator for PS1 (There’s even an English translation patch for the tiny amount of words in some cutscenes. Can be played for just a little while or played for weeks. The Murder Of Sonic The Hedgehog just came out and is good if you want to do a murder mystery visual novel that isn’t long, plus it’s free on Steam. Duck Game on Steam is an awesome multiplayer game. Inscyption, Project Zomboid, and Pizza Tower is the new hotness of all different genres that I’m sure you guys are aware of. Would love to see you guys do a long play of Haque. Maybe have Kevin guest on an episode or two? Just spitballin’.

Sean (Dogfort)

Faith would be a blast to see you guys play through

Hey all, really love Earthbound and appreciate the long journey. Here are some shorter suggestions, I may comment again with longer ones: Mom Hid My Game Kuukiyomi - Consider It! Sin & Punishment (there's also a great multiplayer where one person controls the "body" of the character, and the other controls the shot reticle and attacks) Mega Man X Shovel Knight (great co-op!) Donkey Kong Country (also great co-op opportunity)

Spivzy

I'd love to see some LittleBigPlanet, or Symphony of the Night

Al and MC

Conker's Bad Fur Day? (Trying to remember if this was done lol)

omegalbagel

Don't Starve Together, Magicka, Puzzle Agent, Evil West, Pizza Tower, Tunic.

Gruce Rillis

A good multiplayer one or two shot would be Barony. Maybe The Bully or KOTOR for a full play?

Sterner Stock

What about one of the Trine games? 3 players, and everyone has unique tools for puzzle platforming and fighting goblins.

Jon Solomon

I'd also put in a suggestion for Ghost Trick, since the re-release will be coming soon

Will Holmes

I'd love to see down the line the new Super Mario RPG, just so we can get that sweet sweet conclusion. Plus hey! No inventory management!

KTM

I've been thinking that it would be fun to see you guys go back to Aerosmith Revolution X for a full playthrough. Sure, Nick is the only one who continued, but it's a real throwback and you guys can finally rescue Josh's dad from the New Order Nation.

Erik

Deep cut, Pac-Man: the New Adventures

Jon Solomon

For a little frantic fun, would love to see PlateUp!

David Booth

A return to For The King would be fun, the new TMNT beat-em-up is great, Powerwash Simulator cleaning the FFVII stuff would be a chill time.

Cesar The Salad

I've been recommending Broforce for years now hehe. As for multiplayer, I'd pick Pummel Party, you guys would be surprised I'm sure ;)

Jon Solomon

If you all have the Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack, would love to see some games of Mario Party 1, Mario Party 2, or a minigame session on Pokemon Stadium

Skelefella

I think I recommended this to Paul in a stream eons ago, but LISA: The Painful strikes me as the kind of game you guys would dig. It's a really humorous post-apocalyptic RPG. It also touches on some really heavy subjects though so heads up. The base game takes maybe like 10ish hours, with a short DLC. It's getting a definitive re-release on all modern platforms in July actually, it was previously stuck on PC. For shorter game recs: Lil Gator Game For multiplayer: Tricky Towers

Absolute Marc

A couple or recs that would be good for the show: Breath of Fire 3 (easy to play and talk over), final fantasy 8 (cause of how jank it is), pokeymans are always popular

MaxBoltzman

How about something short and fun like a Mario 2 or Sonic and Knuckles or a Donkey Kong Country. Or you could play through one of the many SNES and Genesis era caveman games. The Switch online version of SNES has four caveman games on there.

Jon Solomon

A few of the recent Kirby platformers also have multiplayer, could be fun to see you guys tackle Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe

Terence Penn

Go back and play through “X-men Legends”!

Taylor Garofalo

A Super Mario RPG conclusion or reboot would be pretty nice. If you wanna keep with RPGs, a Pokemon game would be pretty fun. A Gen 4 or 5 Pokemon game would be pretty cool to see if you guys never played them. Gen 5 specifically since it was only new Pokemon until the endgame.

Marshall Kiker

I think you should release all episodes as freebies. Maybe a time delay, maybe add advertising after a time.

Dani Ruiz-Espinoza

I mentioned this one on the community wall before but long play: Live-A-Live (perfect for the show IMO and also not very long) short play: Any kirby multiplayer game

Alchestra

If you guys would be down to play another campaign of For the King, I would be excited to watch that again. Other than that: -beat em ups like TMNT or Streets of Rage -fantasy games like Gauntlet, Trine, or Nine Parchments -Castle Crashers -maybe Spelunky 2

HeyJoshRob

Hey there, first time long time. Here are some suggestions including where to get them and the time to complete the main story according to Howlongtobeat.com 1. Single Player - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (GoG.Com) Main story: 29 Hours to beat. 2. Single Player - Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb (GoG.Com) Main Story: 11 Hours to beat. 3. Co-op – LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (Gog.Com) Main Story: 12 Hours to beat. 4. Co-op - The Warriors (PlayStation Network) Main Story: 11 Hours to beat. 5. Emulation Single Player – The Simpsons: Hit & Run Main Story: 10 Hours to beat. 6. Emulation Co-op – Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Main Story: 8.5 Hours to beat.

Jon Solomon

It's slightly longer (10-12ish hours), but maybe something like The Lost Vikings since it's specifically 3 player?

Dan Scott

Dont know if yall did it yet, but what about Castle Crashers? Fast paced, funny, 4 player and can be beaten in 7 or 8 hours.

Justin Ciner

I'd love to see Josh play through Breath of the Wild someday, but that's not very short haha. Really any Zelda would be pretty fun

Mackenzie Perrault

I'd really really love to see you guys play Metal Gear Solid for the PS1 , I know you guys did it for continue cast, but it's not the sameeeee

Mackenzie Perrault

Also, if you could finish Cuphead, that would be lit.

underclocked

To add something that is similar to your Planet Coaster videos, there's Parkitect which is multiplayer, more like classic Roller Coaster Tycoon, and you can play any of the scenarios or just have fun building a park together in sandbox.

Earnest Citizen

This would be perfect content for ContinueQuest. Short-ish game, very weird, and I'm sure the boys would be able to riff off of the game easily. How Long To Beat has it as about 3.5 hours so probably about 7 episodes?

Hugh Bollen

The Scott Pilgrim beat em up on Switch could be fun for y’all up to 4 player on the same system

Blake Caven

Nooo! It'll let the common rabble in! I like how we get a more unadulterated Continue? in our Patreon continuequests. Because they know they can say anything and we will still love them and not comment dumb bullshit.

Blake Caven

I think River City Girls 1 or 2 would be great! I am terrible at beat em ups, but the boys are capable, I'm sure!

Tulpa

Cassette Beasts is fun and might make a good playthrough lol

Generally Depressing

Grounded or something like that, where everyone can play and you can drop in and out whenever you want?

Scotty K

Episode 75 Goosbuds 2020 Paul said he wants to play Diablo 2! It’s time, wait no longer Paul the magic user, Josh the rogue and Nick the Barbarian. Get those demons!

MaxBoltzman

I know you guys don't play things made so recent, but the World Tour mode of the most recent Street Fighter is wacky fun.

Chosen One

You guys would love “Tape to Tape”. It’s a new hockey rpg.

Patrick

Really enjoyed a few years back when you guys played For the King. Really got me into the game and have been in love with it since. Would enjoy seeing you guys play another runthrough of the game with the new maps/characters.

LeTonzy

Golden sun for the game boy advance

David Sandoval

Wizard of Legend It's a rogue-like, so no real extended narrative, but it's combat focused with anime level spellcasting and a co-op mode. Probably great for a 3 episode run or something. Great low-bit style, too. It's pretty technical, but Armored Core 4 and Armored Core for Answer are giant anime robot build and do missions and fight other robots games. I'd love to watch y'all play Spiderman on PS4 actually.

David H

More For The King!!

David H

Those 2 games RULED. The first one would be great with it's smaller focus.

Lee Taggart

We NEEEED Josh playing through Quest 64.
