I keep coming back to this (and I keep repeating myself) cause THEY ARE IN LOVE!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 AAAAHHHHHH!!!! Seeing both of their hearts beating hard, that longing in their eyes. That's the same look Nao had in the extra drawing where he wants to hold Souta's hand. He just wants to kiss him, hold him, squeeze him. He literally had to flee the scene of this slow burn crime. He's not slick. We noticed his habit of running to hide his emotions. Which is crazy cause he can't go anywhere with them but away from Souta. He's got no one to talk about this with, while Souta has Keisuke.

I cannot get enough of that sequence. Nao grabs Souta's cheek to keep him from ruining his make up even more. The touch soon turns into a loving one, almost like he wants to caress the skin under his fingers. Souta's heart beat faster, realizing how close they are. His eyes widen and he watches Nao's expression shift, as if he too was realizing what was happening. Souta clenches his fist nervously, the will to touch Nao back suddenly taking over him. He slightly opens his mouth in surprise and yearning, which captures Nao's attention. His eyes falls to Souta’s lips as his own also open in a small slit. Souta can't help but mirror him, finally able to openly look at Nao's mouth, the one he's been dreaming of for so long. There are only the loud sounds of their heartbeats in the air as they lean even closer, eyes never leaving the lips they so strongly desire to unite. This is what I mean when I say you insert prose and poetry so smoothly in this comic 😭
