I REALLY don't want to hate Arashi but I get more and more frustrated with her every episode. The breach of personal space? Literally snagging the Keychain out of Nao's hand? Butting in on their conversation?? Ughhhhhh I love how considerate Souta seems about leaving Keisuke alone. Their friendship gives me life. I just wish that Souta would do things that benefit himself more often. He deserves happiness without having to worry about everyone else's too. I, again, cannot wait to see how the Illumination plays out. I'm crossing my fingers that Nao and Souta do end up sitting together but there are alternatives that I think would be just as interesting! Like maybe Arashi and Nao end up sitting together and Nao finds out who the tickets are really from? Maybe SOUTA and Arashi get paired up and they're both super pouty about it? OR maybe Nao rejects Arashi and she's so upset that she runs off, pushing the tickets into Souta's hands as she goes? Maybe Nao tells her about his feelings for Souta? Maybe Arashi and Nao start dating and we all sob?? (Doubtful on that last one) Any way that it goes, I'm so excited!!! Edit: OH my goodness I just noticed the callback from FOREVER ago about Souta playing the kazoo (I love how much and how well they know each other)

I quickly read this chapter and I’ll admit I had a pretty adverse reaction. Now, I’ve sat with it for a bit, re-read it. And I can confidently admit I am infuriated. Oh my god. I’ll start from the top. I figured Souta would turn down the offer to split but man did it hurt. Hopefully he’ll put his needs above others eventually. Or Nao drags him to talk anyway. As for the keychain, hooray I thought Nao was gonna accidentally steal it lol. Jokes aside, it was really sweet of him to offer to buy the keychain or find a Kazoo <3. But I think Nao’s gonna buy it for him I can feel it! NOW. ARASHI. YOU. DON’T. SNATCH. THINGS. OUT. OF. PEOPLE’S. HANDS. Christ, I have tried so hard to give this girl grace. I didn’t want to be one of those people who hates a girl because she’s in the way of a ship. And I still don’t. Her crush is not a crime. And it shouldn’t be. However, the crashing their hang out, to grabbing others for no reason, to the lack of awareness when she was talking with Souta, to when she was clearly ready to bounce when Keisuke got sick, to whatever the fuck this was. I’m sorry, but no. Absolutely not. I wanted to give her grace but not anymore. That was so rude for no reason??? And for her to just cut their convo off like that??? She saw them right??? Yeeeaaaah, I think this is enough evidence for me to actually start to hate Arashi. I try not to just auto-hate the female rival of most BLs. Its not their fault for liking someone. Arashi is just really unlikeable. She's rude, conceited, shameless, and overall just aware of anyone else's feelings...including Naos at this point. Unpopular opinion: We should be happy and excited about Arashi as a character in general and every time she appears. Let me explain: I was not really in one of the camps until now. Although I was annoyed, because she gets in the way, the more I think about her the more I learned to appreciate her. She is accused of being rude, pushy and intrusive. Yeah she is. Maybe. But if you want to judge her for that, I suggest you go back and read chapter 10, where Souta is in Nao's room for the first time and goes through his stuff, even though Nao told him not to do so. Really rude, nosy and intrusive, don't you think? Of course it is. It has been said before, in a way Arashi reflects Souta's character. Energetic, nosy, sometimes intrusive or pushy. But Souta had to be this way right? If not the whole plot would never had happened. And this leads me to my next and more important point: Like Souta in the beginning, Arashi is desperately needed to drive the story forward. Let's imagine where we would be without her. Souta gives Nao the tickets, they go to the concert, we get yet another almost, but not really confessing/kissing scene. But I think no one of the two would make a move, because they like the status quo and fear the consequences if a confession goes wrong. Because the character design of this comic is really good, it is pretty difficult to create a believable scenario for a confession without to much stretching from this point. Arashi on the other hand shakes everything up. She ruins this cozy and comfortable status quo of the boys and we might be sad about this now but I think it is necessary.

Maybe this isn’t such a bad thing. If Souta had agreed and somehow Arashi didn’t get her alone time with Nao it would’ve dragged this whole crush out. But if she actually gets that time with him on the Ferris wheel, confesses, and gets rejected we can move on from this.

I keep looking back at previous chapters lately and I think that we can truly and factually acknowledge something. Nao does LOVE Souta! We’ve crossed the point of Nao simply liking him in a platonic manner. I think we can say for sure that Nao loves him in a platonic way. Although we all know that it will be romantic at some point, it may even be now! We can at the very least confirm that Nao does love Souta platonically and honestly… I hope that Souta realizes this soon. Right now, Souta isn’t seeing himself as important when Nao loves him.

I understand that Arashi wants Nao's attention because she likes him, but I feel like it is kind of rude to just barge into a conversation and take the keychain from Nao. I have seen some defense of her saying it makes sense because she likes him and is harmless, but I don't think it is a good habit to develop. She could have entered the conversation in so many not rude ways, but she chose the most annoying rude way possible instead. Even if she sees them as just two bros hanging out, she still shouldn't shove herself in so hard. If she continues acting like that, even Nao is going to end up getting annoyed at her. I wouldn't be surprised if he snapped. She is going about getting his attention in the most annoying way. She started normal at first, but now she is just trying to insert herself at every opportunity no matter what is going on. He does have other people he wants to talk to besides her and even if he likes her as a friend, it is bound to get irritating for him if she keeps getting in the way of him having time with Souta. He already acknowledged here that he misses Souta and wants to spend time with just them and then she shoves herself in between them. I understand she is a high schooler and is immature, but someone needs to tell her that isn't how you gain someone's affection. It could even turn some people off of being her friend, even if she isn't a bad person.
