Okay this makes me incredibly excited. Obviously, I hate seeing Souta with so much heartache. Like his about-to-cry face will never not make me sad. That being said, his lashing out is honestly a good step towards where I want them to be in terms of communicating. There is a very good chance that after this, Nao is going to realize that Arashi has something to do with the way Souta has been acting. Whether there's a confrontation between Souta or Arashi, something has got to give. Maybe Nao will understand Souta's feelings? Will Nao interpret Souta's emotions as the jealousy that it is? Oooooh boy I'm nervous. Had to edit the post to add how much I love Nao's reaction. The surprise on his face when he sees how upset Souta is. The hurt when he just wants Souta to tell him what's wrong. What seems like confusion when Souta mentions Arashi. It's so amazing seeing how much more expressive he is now than he was before. Holy shit what an episode. I’m glad Souta left instead of sitting there watching Arashi be…Arashi. At this point I’m not surprised he’s fed up with her butting in whenever she wants with the most unnecessary things in existence. I’d walk out too. As for Nao, god I was worried how he would handle it honestly. Cause he’s been weirdly compliant? If that’s the word to whatever nonsense she does and Souta is in the background. That said, fuck yeah I’m proud he actually chased after him instead of staying behind. But boy, I didn’t think they would fight at the park (though, looking back they fought wherever, whenever so the park shouldn’t have been a surprise) and Souta letting his jealously slip is exactly what Nao needed to realize what’s making Souta act like this. Not that Nao wouldn’t have figured it out without it, but it does make it clearer. Also “I can’t stand it when you avoid me like this!” goes so fucking hard it’s not even funny. 10/10 update I look forward to seeing how they resolve it (in a park) 🫡

There are so many things… first off, the amount of self control I needed to not squeal and freak out while reading this in my bio lecture is crazy. Secondly, the face Nao made when he asked Souta “so suddenly” reminds me of the face he made when he was little and his mom was leaving🥺. Thirdly, what is Nao thinking now??? I wonder if he’s going to force Arashi to tell him the little “secret” that Souta and Arashi are keeping from him. Also, so glad Souta finally got to let off some steam. Been reading everyone's comments about a possible half-confession and wanted to give my ideal one. It would start with Nao realiszing Souta is actually jealous of Arashi, and not Nao, maybe through overhearing him talk to someone about it. And then Nao's reaction being to reassure Souta by telling him that he isnt interested in Arashi, and that he only sees them as friends, and rejects her respectfully. From this he can either leave his confession there (maybe possibly expressing that Souta is more important to him then Arashi, and letting him figure out what that means by himself) for now or full confession 😎

The thing that I am scared about, because I am not quite sure how Aina thinks... is that Nao is like "Arashi" and then think that Souta likes her instead. Mh. It's a valid possibility, that Nao interprets Souta's behavior as a kind of jealousy. A lot of options for this scenario were mentioned already. I want to add one more: Remember Chapter 33, where Nao overheard a conversation between Keisuke and Souta? There Souta says: "I don't get why the girls chase after him. (...) If he wasn't such a pretty boy I bet no one could stand to be around him." So Nao could also think, the jealousy is pointed to the general fact, that Nao magnetically attracts girls without even trying when Souta seems to be barely recognized by them. Which leads me to another thing I thought about. What's the purpose of Nao being a total heartthrob? It got established early on and is a theme through the whole story. I have two theories about this: First: Showing the difference between having a crush and falling in love. The girls that fall for Nao like Arashi and Inoue doesn't seem to know him quite well. They are not falling for him, but for the fantasy they have created of him. On the other hand we have Souta who only falls for Nao after he gets to know him. Second: Aina just thought: "What if Nao is like really hot and every girl falls for him... but turns out to be gay? lol."
