My worst nightmare is Nao finds them a little later and sees them all happy together and misunderstands, not realizing they’re bonding over him 😭 My dream is that he’s been listening the whole time and heard Souta’s confession 😁 (Potential half confession candidate?? If it’s true lol) This would honestly be my favorite outcome ever cuz I can imagine if Nao overheard this, he wouldn’t want to tell Souta but wait for Souta to confess when he’s ready. BUT he’d probably just tease and flirt with him knowing they both like each other while Souta freaks out lmaoo. (It’d also be a way to draw out the end game finale while still giving them major romantic progress 👀) I can still see that potentially happening. If not now, maybe later or perhaps by Nao just realizing Souta likes him on his own instead. Anyways I’m so excited to see how this chapter ends, loving Inoue and Souta this episode 🥰

ohhh inoue how i love you. i'm so glad he's getting more people behind him/on his team, especially his best friend keisuke and someone who has grown to be pretty close to him in inoue over these in-story months 🥺 also, while going back to reread because some updates really just get me to wanna do that - i love that this is kind of a similar set up the festival with fireworks. where inoue confided in souta about liking nao, just as souta was starting to Feel Things about nao but before he really admitted it to himself (and was even about to confess to inoue, back then, lol), as the fireworks were about to start. now, it was souta's turn to confess to liking nao (even if it 'just slipped out' haha) just before the illumination starts. i know inoue commented on it being similar to the fireworks, but it was so much more similar than she thought by souta being the one confessing just now haha. just even more of a cute lil parallel, i think. i hope inoue continues to support our boy - even if not able to provide a push to him, at least provide another shoulder for him to lean on and ear for him to talk to. considering our boy is always sacrificing himself for others/other things, he deserves some reprieve.... and she feels sorry for venting to souta about her feelings over nao, but she deserved some reprieve too then, and still deserves reprieve! maybe they can talk to each other about it. (unless she starts catching eyes for someone else..... in which souta could help in that sense too, lol. long as they both get that shoulder to lean on!) (also thank you as always for the update, aina!)

And that everyone, is why Inoue is best girl. I knew she would take it well but man she did exactly what Souta needed: Understanding and Accepting him. This whole time, he had been freaking out about how people would view him (and him being with Nao) negatively when, so far, the people he’s told truly do not care he likes Nao. In fact, they had a feeling something was up and let Souta do his thing. Even tho he had no intentions of telling Inoue, the slip up shows he trusts her enough for a slip up to even happen! In short, Inoue is based and I’m glad Souta has another person in his corner 🫶 10/10

I love her reaction so much! Obviously the ending of the last update was hilarious the "HUH!?" moment is iconic. But this. This is everything I've ever wanted. Inoue is being so sweet about it! Not only is she not hating on or judging Souta, but she apologized for behavior that she previously hadn't known would upset him. I admire her remorse for talking about her crush to someone who also had a crush on that person, although now's a chance for bonding! Like OMG we both like the same guy and neither of us thinks we have a chance! WOO! It makes me wonder how Arashi would be in this situation. Like obviously she and Souta aren't close but would she be judgemental? Would she be APOLOGETIC? (Considering that objectively she was worse than Inoue with this.) The Urge

Another half-confession theory, when Nao and Souta finally discuss the Arashi thing, Souta will say that he pulled away because he felt like he was overly clingy and taking their friendship too seriously, getting in the way of Nao and Arashi's love, and Nao will tell Souta that he shouldn't think that way, and he is also serious about their friendship, and when he imagines his future, he imagines Souta in it. Souta will say that he doesn't think he could do that, be a consistent part of Nao's life past high school. But Nao notices how sad Souta is and asks if he would do it under different circumstances, and Souta says yes, and that's the half-confession done. Nao goes on to try and find out what's going on with Souta and eventually they make it work.
