1) Nao is going to see this and experience some emotional turmoil and realization. 2) Arashi is going to confess and because Nao is now fully aware of his feelings towards Souta, he will turn her down. 3) Nao will make some assumptions that are wrong and say something to Inoue who will correct him. 4) Nao realizes that his behavior is similar to Souta's behavior and he will take the risk and confess. 5) I'm going to sit here and hope I'm correct and can be less stressed on Thursdays soon 😂

the illumination is beautiful and so are they (and so are the upcoming likely misunderstandings LOL). i'm glad they're getting to talk about these things and souta's getting a little bit of relief from the turmoil, and although he's clearly a bit emotionally exhausted, seeing a little bit of that cheesy cheekiness from him, hehe. i also love inoue's support of souta and checking on him to be sure he's okay/will be okay, and her reactions to the bombshells (in her eyes) souta's dropping. i love them and their friendship and am looking forward to the things to come from this and everything ahead, hehe

Well if this isn’t the sweetest chapter in so long, then I’m crazy lol. I love how understanding Inoue is! She didn’t question his feelings (at least beyond asking if he won’t confess because they’re both guys), she didn’t make him feel uncomfortable, she listened, asked and understood. Also Souta was crazy for casually dropping he used to like her LOL But since he’s so far removed from those feelings I see why it came out so easily. Poor Inoue that was too much of a double whammy. Someone save her from more surprises LOL. Giving her his jacket is so cute!! I love their friendship so much!! Even if this causes Nao to lose it, i do not care!!! It was cute!!!! Also title reference!! We got our first reference in so long! a win for meta nerds (me) Fantastic episode i give it a Cheeky/10 🫶🫶

What an amazing update! Thank you Aina!! <3 For one, I love their friendship so much. Inoue is very empathetic and is being incredibly supportive. We love her for that. She understands why Souta doesn't want to confess and isn't (yet) pushing him to do so. Inoue appreciation post everybody 😌 Secondly, I WAS SO WAITING FOR THAT CASUAL "Oh yeah I used to like you, too." That got me so hyped to see. Souta is honestly so iconic with his little "Whoopsies, lore drop" (sometimes intentionally, sometimes not). I do sort of think that Nao will have seen/heard/assumed parts of this interaction. I think it's more likely the parts that we wouldn't want him to hear as an audience. No matter what though, I'm getting the feeling that there will be much more misunderstanding due to the jacket. Absolutely obsessed with the little "I don't get cold easily." I love that there's dialogue as a callback to not only where Souta got his nickname, but also that it's tied to the comic's title. It fits in so well! Now all I'm hoping for is a conversation between Keisuke and Nao. Crossing my fingers but obviously I'll be extremely satisfied with whatever is planned!! Amazing chapter as always, Aina <3

BGHDHF Not Souta giving Inoue a heart attack! 😂😂 Fr though seeing the friendship between these two grow is SO sweet. Like 100% I believe Inoue would talk to Souta about aliens. On the other hand there's no way Nao doesn't notice at some point that Inoue is wearing Souta's jacket. I wouldn't be surprised if Nao wasn't on the ferris wheel at all and instead was looking for them, but I could be wrong. We already saw how Nao reacted during summer camp, how Nao felt abandoned and was jealous. Gonna be honest I have NO idea how he'll react now. Will he shut down, will he snap? I feel like his reaction will differ from Souta's.. He usually reacts to stressors by lashing out at people around him. Will he accidentally lash out at Arashi I wonder? We saw his comment on Arashi pulling him along ("I can walk by myself"). Could be she touches him during an unfortunate moment and Nao makes the mistake of taking his feelings out on her. Which would be... horrible. Arashi is the first Nao's made on his own outside of Souta's friend group. 😭 While I'm on a tangent anyway, if Nao perhaps asks Keisuke at some point if Inoue and Souta are in a relationship, I'd love to see some Keisuke and Nao interaction. We really haven't seen the two of em talk. But fr poor Nao needs some support in his corner. 🥺🥺

it is really interesting seeing Inoue and Arashi as narrative foils. They’re both smart girls, but clearly Inoue is much better at handling rejection and acting with maturity. If they had both made different choices in the way they prioritize the feelings of others vs. their own feelings, they could have been in the exact opposite positions as they are now. Granted, I don’t think that Arashi is on an irreversible course; they’re all still just kids. Their contrasting approaches really highlight how well Inoue handled her crush on Nao. I hope Souta takes notes from her.
