I will say, while I’m glad that we are finally seeing more jealous Nao, I’m worried how this could lead to an even bigger wedge between them 💀 Or maybe Nao is a proactive jealous person. He’s probably afraid of hurting their friendship, just like Souta is. He hasn’t cleared up any confusion about Arashi because I don’t think he believes there is anything to clear up. 😆I get the feeling he’s oblivious to Arashi’s intentions, which makes all of Arashi’s efforts more funny. We all literally knew that her wearing Souta's jacket was going to make Nao jealous. No surprise there. Just interested to see if/how their relationship will grow from there. Is this gonna finally end in a reveal? Are they gonna be childish and mad at eachother and have an anger reveal or is something more interesting or unique going to happen? Funny how my heart instantly shattered for Souta when Arashi entered the story, while I rejoice in the return of jealous Nao. It's not even about the difference between Inoue's and Arashi's personalities, but how Nao and Souta act on this kind of (perceived) competition. Although, Nao really, really owes Souta one, after being Arashi's doormat for too long and with that leaving Souta on the sideline. I'm happy for Souta starting to move on and solidifying his friendship with Inoue

Under no circumstances did he try to make Souta jealous. It’s on Souta assuming things that aren’t there. Honestly… I don’t think we’re going to get a conclusion to this in this chapter. My guess is that their relationship is going to get more distant and they will be more cold to each other to the point of how their relationship was at the start of IDCC. Then when they have to go karaoking (as an attempt of Inoue and Keisuke seeing how miserable they are and how their friendship is messed up and getting them to reconcile) and they sing the song they were talking about which is the song that sparked the beginning of their friendship in the first place, I think that’s when everything comes crashing down. That’s when I think they’ll realize how much they miss each other, how far they’ve come and finally the talk to clear up all the misunderstandings along with a confession. Since honestly, I don’t know how they are going to talk this out without someone confessing and we still have karaoke to get through first.

You know what makes this whole thing worse? It’s the fact that before when they disappeared Nao held onto hope that it was a honest mistake. They didn’t get lost on purpose because he believed Souta wouldn’t do that since he didn’t want to part from the group earlier. Then now when he’s questioned about it, he basically confirms that they went off by themselves on their own accord

Rereading this before the update tomorrow. I can’t get over the complexity of the expression on Naos face in that last panel. The sadness/ anger/ hurt/ jealousy.it’s probably a combination of feeling left behind when they ran off, seeing him come back genuinely smiling, seeing his jacket on Inoues shoulders… oh my gosh I seriously can’t get over how I am able to see all that emotion in one drawing.
