Soooouuuutaaaa. My love, my life. This is just cruel. I understand that he feels and obligation to Arashi because he told her he would help. I've been there. And Souta genuinely believes that Nao would be happier with Arashi. That's why he gave her the tickets in the first place. But this is difficult to watch. Souta is so willing to put aside his needs and desires to see someone else get their happy ending. I love how genuinely kind that makes him but he should still learn to do things more for himself. I am crossing my fingers that SOMEONE says SOMETHING and Arashi and Nao don't sit together. Or if they do, that Nao finds out who the tickets are really from. There is a lot to unpack here. So firstly let’s just say how objectified Nao is right now. Arashi calling dibs and using the word hogging as if he’s some sort of object. At least Takeo says it’s for bro time, but Takeo also needs to back off. I feel like people aren’t getting as mad as Takeo because it’s fitting our agendas that we don’t want Arashi around Nao. But in reality, Takeo also needs to respect Nao’s personal space and his opinion. Neither of them asked Nao and blatantly ignored him when he said if he got a say in any of it. At least Inoue backed off and we have seen her respect people. But I feel that people aren’t holding Takeo accountable and are only hating on Arashi. The upset for Arashi is valid but we should also then set the same standard for others. Secondly, ohhhh Souta…. My boyyyyy nooo don’t do this. It is very in his character and honorable for you to do this since you think it’s right, but you can’t kill yourself doing this. I do like the shot of how Keisuke, Inoue and Souta are standing together as a team. It shows that they support each other but also it really makes one wonder… does Keisuke know that Nao doesn’t like Arashi? Keisuke is good at reading the room so I wonder if he knows since he has never said anything about their relationship. Lastly, this is A LOT. So earlier, Nao told Souta that he wanted some space from the group, especially Takeo since he was sticking to Nao. Souta intervening and taking Takeo away could be seen as him helping Nao but you know that Nao is going to be jealous and mad about this. Souta being Souta, hasn’t picked up on the fact that Nao has been trying to be with him and only him this whole time and suggesting that Takeo be with Souta will make him jealous. Meanwhile, Souta hasn’t given a second thought to that and he is just trying to help Arashi. Either way, this episode was intense. There is so much emotional depth. The way Inoue looks really seems like she truly is defeated. Despite everyone saying that she will step in, I think she really did take her final bow out gracefully and now all she can do is support and confide with Souta. This hurts….

Also, I see a bunch of people saying that someone should intervene or for Inoue to intervene. And to that I say a blunt NO. Hell no. The only person that should be intervening here is Nao. He is the one that should be standing up for what he wants, and advocate for his personal space even though he really shouldn’t have to. What are you doing Nao?? Making small little dialogue that explains how you feel but not letting it get across to people?? What happened to the way you yelled at Souta when you held his arm earlier? Where is that energy?

I think this is turning out in everyone’s favor. Inoue got to “shoot her shot” and get closure from everything. I have a feeling Arashi will not give up until Nao actually rejects her. She’s much more determined and will probably keep doing this if someone intervenes on Nao’s behalf. Nothing will be resolved until he reveals his true feelings and sets boundaries! We need communication :) but it takes time sometimes

I feel like Arashi is such an important and relatable character in the story and it genuinely sucks that she is hated on so much. She gets put in this one-dimensional box of the typical female love rival in a boy's love story but I feel like she's so much more complex than just that. As a teenage girl myself I feel like I see a lot of myself in Arashi who essentially is just a girl with a crush. I mean really, people blame her for all the drama when all she's trying to do is spend time with the boy she likes. And I feel like it's unfair to hate on her as much as some people do when she has never once in the story shown any malicious intent, oblivious maybe, but never malicious. Neither Nao or Souta have shown blatant disinterest with spending time with Arashi so how is she supposed to know that she is bothering anyone when all she's doing is just being herself. Anyway that's my take, thank you Aina for another beautiful episode can't till next Thursday 🫶🏻🫶🏻

My opinion is that Nao should (finally) open his mouth and say NO to both of them. It's rude to not ask what Nao wants and they are probably not even listening to him right now. That poor boy is not a ragdoll, you guys. 🙄 It would already be (even tiny) rejection towards Arashi from Nao, but I think she wouldn't take it that way and won't give up that easily. Nao should say if he would like to go with Souta or someone else or maybe, even alone. Or that he doesn't want to go there at all. Anything! They really need Nao's opinion, like we too. I need Nao to snap and stand up for himself seriously, like tell everyone he is tired of all of this. On the other hand, I'm not against of him going with Arashi bc I know he will be honest on how he feels, I want to see Arashi past this crush thing she has bc contrary to most here, I don't hate her, she seems very interesting in how she behaves, she doesn't seem to be bad, just very bad at reading the room and being self aware, and I want to see how she acts when she is rejected and finally sees why she couldn't read Nao in the first place. On the other side, I feel like after this Souta will dig himself more and distance from Nao to get over his feelings, I can see the parallels of when Nao was being very self-destructive after his mom died.

okay hear me out : nao and arashi go on the ferris wheel together -> nao is distracted and upset that souta gave his jacket to inoue AND didn’t ride the ferris wheel with him -> arashi confesses with the concert tickets and nao turns her down -> nao tells her that he actually likes souta -> arashi redeems herself and tells nao that souta gave her the tickets -> nao and souta meet up and confess and go to the concert together and everyone (especially me) is happy !

Everyone's got their own predictions so here's mine: nao and arashi will be alone on the ride together as arashi is about to give nao the tickets she will see nao slightly crying and nao will say something along the lines of South avoiding him and arashi will have one of those flashback moments where she sees all the pieces connect and either she'll explain the situation to nao or she'll also start meddling to get them together.

Half-confession theory time: Nao has realized that the tickets were Souta's and that he definitely worked for them. Nao then confronts him on this, and it becomes a whole thing, and now Souta is really bothered, and Souta basically reveals that he's been trying to pair up Nao and Arashi because they're feelings for each other are apparently very obvious even though he feels left out now. Then Nao says he never made things that way, Souta did that, and that he doesn't understand why. Souta says it's stupid, and Nao asks if there's something bothering him he has to say. Then Souta confesses so they can move past this issue, and Nao is surprised. He is taken aback by the idea and basically goes through a bunch of interactions between them. He remembers the almost kiss and the other almost kiss, and decides he thinks he might like Souta but isn't sure what to make of his feelings, so he says he might maybe like him but not really except it might be and then asks him out to the concert to see where this takes them. Souta is freaking out over Nao's noncommittal answer, and says he doesn't want to risk getting his hopes up if this isn't going to lead to anything, but he doesn't want to reject this, so he decides he'll think about it since the concert is not for a while. Nao is very bothered by this. After several days Nao is wracked with thoughts of Souta and things are just weird enough that he can't take it but not that weird that they're like arguing or anything, so he's just longing for him from like 6 inches away. When Souta finally comes to the wrong conclusion that he might be straight and confused, he says that he probably shouldn't, and this messes Nao up. He quickly realizes that he desperately wants Souta and has wanted him for a while, and has to work up the courage to confess his love, beg Souta to be his boyfriend, and to go with him to the concert.

Oh, Souta, pleeeease stop your people pleasing (or please me, but not Arashi)... I am on board with you getting ready to give up on Nao, who honestly needs to step up in order to deserve your love. But you could still think about what you're comfortable doing for others. Anyway, I really hope Keisuke or Inoue starts questioning what's going on here and that we don't have to wait another six months for anyone to talk about it 😭 Last, I am happy we seem to be getting Arashi giving Nao the tickets and perhaps confessing in the next episodes. Okay so here's mine, new and updated: Nao and Arashi will not end up on the ride together because Nao will speak out, being annoyed about being thrown about between people all day, and decide to go on the ride with Souta, dragging him along. On the ride Nao will ask Souta why he's been acting weird all day and even ask if Souta had feelings for Inoue still. Souta will be all embarrassed and surprised and tell him he doesn't actually have feelings for Inoue, Nao will ask if Souta has feelings for Arashi and Souta will be a little frustrated and say he doesn't have feelings for arashi either and in frustration Souta will confess he actually feelings for Nao and he's been jealous of Arashi this whole time but that he couldn't say anything because Arashi likes Nao and was going to ask him out on the ride today with the tickets. The ride comes to an end and Nao is left thinking. Souta leaves the ride and walks away from the group. Nao takes Arashi by the hand and says they have something to talk about. Privately he rejects her and she confesses that Souta gave her the tickets. Nao, realising all the things that Souta has been doing for him along with remembering every time they almost kissed and his confusion on the ride decides he needs to go after Souta. Option 1: Somehow he does find and catch up to him and whilst they're alone he half confessed to Souta, because this whole time he's been questioning what he feels for Souta too. (Idk where this should lead to) Option 2: He doesn't find him and over the next few days things are awkward between them as Nao has to figure out how he feels about Souta. Missing him terribly and hating seeing Souta sad leads to him confessing his feelings for Souta and a kiss.

If Nao does realize the tickets are from Souta, I wonder if he will be happy or upset. Souta’s behavior has been looking like he is trying to set up Nao with Arashi. Even if Nao rejects Arashi, I don’t think he will just go running to Souta… seems like we are in for a lot of angst one way or another.

Oh man, I have thought about the options and I have definitely narrowed it down to two, I think (with some sub options) but I could be wrong… and also I don’t want to write them at the risk of being right, either. I will say, everyone is hopeful for a confession or even one person confessing, but I don’t think it’s happening here. If one confessed likely the other would, so I think it’s either happening later or differently. Differently as in, who said a half confession is just one half of the relationship confessing… how do we know that it isn’t half OF a confession? Pain and suffering is the only thing I’m confident of.
