Tink

I get it, but I'm still mad at coach!

Vitória

Ughh my heart hurts 😭

Tina

Poor Souta, yes he needs to learn and improve his skills. Iseya should help him grow his skills while they grow their personal relationship at the same time

Ebby

It would be super disheartening honestly. It will always feel like you will never measure up. It’s time to put to the test if Souta really wants to stay in the sport or now

mintcandy

The coach should‘ve had this conversation before announcing his decision tbh. I‘ve never been in a situation like that (yet haha), but my heart still hurts for Souta. For now I just wanna see Nao taking the first step & apologizing.

Coach should have had this conversation before, or at the very least immediately after the announcement. He and his prominent nose can go choke on a biscuit.

Coach sure does piss me off! Can't you see he is hurting?! Maybe you as a coach need to grow and talk to your players before making huge changes and tell them why

stitchwitch

:( coach really shouldn't have sprung it on Souta like that in front of everyone. Hopefully he can use this time to hone his skills

Cool cool cool, it’s literally never helpful to tell one of your players “I benched you because this other player is amazing.” How is that constructive for Souta? That’s not feedback you can work on. Tell him the specific aspects of his play he needs to improve on so he can focus on that, and have the conversation privately BEFORE you bench him. Coach and his pointy cheek bones make me so mad.

Izzy

Coaches.. am I right? ANYWAYS I think it's okay that he did what he did. He wants to see how iseya plays, and now that he has, he can now work with all of them.

My poor baby 😢😢😢 This was the best weekend with all these updates ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I still feel bad for Souta. He’s only benched because he asked Nao to come to the camp he was looking so forward to. And in payback he gets benched during the camp Nao didn’t even care about ugh ugh ugh poor Soutaaaa

Marie

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Teresa

This angst is killing me 😔 I just want them to be happy. But I know there's a lesson in hardships, and they're going to be better for it in the end. Congrats on the Tapas feature! I got a notification for it earlier. 😁

Like, can I start a petition to get them a new coach? Being strategic is important, but Souta's passion for the game is incomparable. He works so hard!!!!

DearNeptune!

You go, Souta! Put in that work to prove you deserve a spot on that field!

Maddie Kimson

Souta deserves to play more than anyone else!!! Couch really let him down and I feel like his passion for football is getting wasted....... ;-; and yes he should've informed souta about the changes beforehand

Twoony

I do think it's important for Souta to be on the bench. Everyone should have to be at some point to make them realize it isn't a punishment, those on the bench aren't lesser, and see the game from a different perspective so, in his case, he learns where, how and when to use his passion. Bench players are just as important because the team relies on them to be there, to carry the team when they have to, to support their friends and help carry them to victory. Obviously wanting to play is in every sportsman's mind, but everyone also needs to realize that taking a seat back, seeing the field from another perspective and appreciating that time on the field is important. I'm sure this will just make Souta an even better player :) I may be a bit biased as a bench player back in the day lol always ticks me off when people get all heated like being on the bench is sooooo awful! Yo, we're good players too. Guess I'm the odd one out since the coach seems really nice to me. He didn't say the other players were better. He explained what they had that the team needed. He didn't just toss Souta to the curb with a "be better" excuse. He made sure to give Souta a compliment, telling him what he is good at too, and also explained his decision so that, hopefully, Souta can get back onto the field. He made sure Souta knows he is valuable even while on the bench. Coaches always get shit because they gotta make the tough decisions >.< Anyways, excited to see how this all progresses!
