I know this feeling all too well. Having a starting position then being told you're on the bench, you start doubting yourself and thinking that all your hard work has now gone to waste then all of a sudden get put in the game and you just tense up and forget how to play. It's one of the worst mental feelings that an athlete could ever have. I hope he gets past this road block

I knew he was gonna overthink it. 😭😔 Just play how you play, build from that! You have to know where you need improvement, before you can work to be better. That being said this really is how it works, though. Suddenly being put in after a blow like that? You forget how to move, you can’t think straight, everything you do is just “wrong.” Especially since it lead to a goal. It’s gonna be hard for him to function properly after that.
