Here they are again, staring each other down. Storywise, this is a fantastic update. They're right back in the place they were the last time they talked. It sucks that Nao hurt Inoue like this, absolutely. As a reader, this really shows how deep in it he is. He's not a mean person, but he'd rather be mean and alone than with people that could further hurt him. If being mean equals knowing what to expect, Nao seems like he'll accept it. Now I'm waiting for the cool down. Souta and Nao are equally stubborn but now they're both not itching to fight. Souta not responding aggressively is hopefully gonna take the wind outta Nao's sails. Not that they're gonna make up right now, but I doubt there will be anything other than a quick exchange of words followed by a broken exit.

imo I think too many emotions are happening to say who's in the right/in the wrong. Nao is being a huge dick, but what he says is true. We have to understand what he's going thru but that's not an excuse to be cruel

The delivery was obvs harsh and unnecessarily rude towards the end with the taunting, but what he actually said makes sense idk lol. It doesn’t help that boi is in a really terrible mood, which doesn’t excuse anything BUT she is aware of, meaning she should’ve considered confessing at a different time. At least this way she is not being led on in the slightest/knows not to waste her time???!?!?!?!?!?!

Poor Inoue. What Nao says is true, but why do he have to be rude to her as well? He is like an angry and afraid hedgehog, pushing everyone a way. First Inoue (who, to be fair, had a bad timing with her love confession) and now Souta. And I think Nao have problems seeing that other people actually might like him, mostly because he doesnt like himself. And that is so sad.

The sudden urge to have souta whisper in nao's ear "I know what you are doing, you ain't gettin rid of me". I'm so curious on how (and IF) souta will calm down nao's fury. Beside the fact that he really needs to talk to someone, in this moment having Souta yelling or pity him would cause the same amount of chaos and nothing would change in Nao's current mood. What would really shake Nao to come to his senses? Random theory here but I'd love to see Souta approaching him, while Nao thinks he wants to fight? slap him?, and instead Souta bear hugs the hell out of him. AAAAA this comic. So many possible scenarios, all of them amaziiiing

That end frame is such a parallel to their last fight, only this time I don’t think Souta will fight back and will de escalate the situation instead, and that’ll catch Nao off guard. The last thing we saw from an interaction with them was Nao trying to reach out to Souta on the field, showing Souta a face that shows Nao’s absolutely broken at this point, or at least about to be. I just can’t see Souta being a hothead and fueling the situation how he might have before.

OUSSFF ISEYA IS SPICY TODAY This is fantastic and I'm so interested on seeing how will this develop, clearly Iseya has developed into his old snarky habits to keep people at arms length, which does put Souta in the interesting position of being widely aware on why he is acting up while also probably taking issue with Nao's attitude (which is fair cus being in pain doesn't justify intentionally hurting others) Its an interesting balance and an interesting position to put someone in, again, wonderful job Aina!

I'm confused as to why so many people think Nao is right in what he's telling Inoue. Inoue defended her crush to a friend before, saying that despite Nao's attitude, she knows he is actually a kind person. I don't think she has a superficial crush on him. What does Nao know about her feelings anyway? I think his self-hatred is talking here. He doesn't like himself so someone like Inoue must be lying or crazy. He just can't understand that someone would actually like him.

Not to defend Nao being an asshole, but it's true that he and Inoue are basically strangers, not even friends. The only explanation I have for Inoue choosing the worst moment to confess is that Nao is right, she set up a fantasy with him like "I'm the only one who understands him and can make him happy"...
