AAAAGH Souta where are you 🥺

SCREAMING!! AINA I AM SCREAMING!!! Thank you for the double update!!! The title of this chapter is "Haven." I take it this means that Nao is finally going to get his? 🥺 Cause he's not angry right now. Not really. He's holding onto whatever little anger he's got to hide that he almost went down in Souta's arms 20 minutes ago. I'm going to keep banking on that gift. I think he's gonna pick up that envelope, storm up to his room, and toss his bag in frustration, unsure of what to do about the letter. The gift falls out, and he picks it up in confusion, only to realize what it is and decide he'd rather deal with that than the letter. After being overwhelmed with emotion about finally getting his stars, he puts them up then breaks down in tears. Part of me feels like he'll open the letter then but it's a toss up. I think a tired, worried Souta is gonna find Nao in tears under his stars. Together they create a new haven. 😭😭😭 Whatever happens I know Aina is gonna make me cry!

OUCH. So, if Souta didn’t tell him about what he knew, then Nao would be reading a letter… you know, his FATHER should be trying to make a better effort here. Talk to your kid about this! Don’t just give him the letter and wander off!!! No wonder Nao has so much trouble dealing with his emotions.

Double update! Thank you so much, Aina!! Ahh I really hope he finally breaks down and let's his emotions run wild, and that the letter actually helps him! Maybe he'll pick it up in the middle of the night when his dad's asleep? I do get his whole thing with not talking to his grandma and his dad doesn't seem to be a real presence in his life he can't expect for him to just open up to someone who was barely there. Their father-son thing is going to take a lot of time.

I wonder if this whole chapter (the important stuff) will take place in Nao’s bedroom? A haven can be a place or a person, and from what I’ve seen in this story so far, Nao’s haven seems to be his room. And I bet by the end of the chapter Nao realizes Souta is Nao’s haven as well, the person who makes him feel safest. Not everyone can be a safe haven to somebody, it takes a specific type of person in your life. They need to be someone who listens to you when you need it, knows how to communicate their support and care, is actively there for you and knows how to respond when you’re in distress. Souta is the perfect safe haven for Nao because he’s already open to doing all of this for Nao and has shown most of it already ♥️
