the sound I let out with the sniff, that's so sad, and Souta is so sweet, I think it makes sense for him conflicted about his feelings when Nao is in a time of need, it feels like a very natural reaction, being alert of other's feelings doesn't make ours, and our wishes disappear but how you process them and act on them makes *all* the difference I like a lot how aware Souta is about Nao needing friendship and support above anything else, and I feel so sorry for Nao but I also deeply believe he is exactly where he needs to be right now
