UGHHH i feel for both of them cuz i’ve a hundred percent been in souta’s position and sadly in the end keisuke is absolutely right- ofc we know as the audience taht him and nao are eventually gonna get together but these two very much don’t know that so souta should really try and chill a little 😔

damn, this hits way too close to home HAHAHAHA. i just made this same mistake in a relationship like this year so i'm not even mad at souta, just sad that things are gonna go this way 😭 but most lessons we must learn from experience, and just being told isn't enough. but i have faith in souta and his friends and ik they'll all figure things out!

ahh I love the buildup of emotions in this conversation! this was beautifully choreographed and navigated. keisuke is a true friend - he understands that souta's anger comes from a mismatch between what behavior his brain deems acceptable and how his heart feels; but he speaks the truth to souta, even if he isn't ready to hear it. I remember with my first crush, I had few friends who would do the same for me when I went through the same thing. with most BL webcomics, I see a common plot that's gotten a bit trite: they get the feels for each other, they confess, they do the secks, and then some "life" problem happens that stretches the story a bit. with this comic, there is so much more depth and realism in the emotional backdrop. I don't know aina's method for targeting such perfect spelling of emotions on people's faces, but it's quite masterful. these kinds of plots might seem drawn out, but I find it important to flesh out what a relationship is, whether platonic, romantic, or somewhere in between. relationships aren't an island, they're integrated with lots of other people, and it's important to show these kinds of things along the way - how they're perceived by others, how they treat others, and how they treat themselves. these interactions reveal a lot about souta's inner thoughts and feelings too, and tells a much more intricate story than what a thought bubble might accomplish. for those who are in the early stages of finding out who they are, this kind of back-and-forth can last years, without any reciprocation from their limerent object, reducing the whole ordeal to a learning experience; what was once a way of life becomes a world of ash. :( I'm rooting for souta and nao, I hope they get a happy ending together. or maybe something close to it! (mainly because I'm absolutely terrified for souta now!!) as a gay man, this comic helps me interact with my own inner child that went through similar trials and tribulations. if I could sit with souta and say something supportive, the same could apply to the "me" that went through the same. <3 <3 <3

This took me way too long to understand. 😭😂 Not a single thing wrong with the writing, it's a fantastic and necessary conversation. My brain just took awhile to process what's happening. I got it now. We love Keisuke for caring for his friend!
