Seeing the BTS on this one makes me want to see a movie about people who are making a movie only for the animatronic puppets to come to life and start killing people. Get on that, Hollywood: it's genius.

Fun fact, Lystrosaurus is a synapsid, so it's more closely related to us, than to dinosaurs. Dimetrodon also falls into that category.

UhM - AcTuAlLy, it was the Indo Raptor in the dumbwaiter scene, not the Indominous Rex! lol I will say, JP3 is better than this one. The bug plot spoiled this movie for me.

So mad that this movie had the foundation to be the best in the series since the original w dinosaurs posing an apocalyptic danger in society and instead we got.. whatever the fuck this was. I love the jurassic franchise, and tbh the malta dino ring and chase scenes are the only scenes in this movie that dont make me want to tear my hair out. It makes me even more mad because if the rest of the movie was on that line itd have been genuenly great. This movie was the ONLY movie ive ever watched eagerly on release day and actively left the theater groaning and wishing i didnt spend the money. I have low hopes for Rebirth, but im open to be surprised

I saw this movie only because my dad picked it for Father’s Day. I didn’t see Fallen Kingdom after the first one so I had no clue what I’d missed and I honestly didn’t care. I thought it was weird as hell and it didn’t make me want to go back and watch the second one or watch the upcoming one.

I still think Fallen Kingdom is the worst, but this one ain’t much better. And I have absolutely zero faith in Rebirth. I would kill for a faithful adaptation of the book. Spielberg’s original Jurassic Park is like Kubrick’s adaptation of The Shining. An absolute stunning film, but a dumpster fire of an adaptation.

Lots to roll your eyes at with this movie but the Barbasol can being in Dodson's office is a step too far. That thing got dropped on the original island, bounced down a hill and then got buried in mud. There's NO WAY that anyone went to find that thing, just no way. It's a cute reference to the original but makes no actual sense.

Well, at least the special burger Carl's Jr. came up with to promote the movie was fine...Sorta. I will take the second and third movies any time over the more recent trilogy. Love to see all the practical f/x though, that aspect is really awesome. Also the Dimetrodon appearance reminded me of this LP I had as a kid that was a bunch of songs about dinosaurs, one of which featured one named Donna.

Dominion is so bad dude, like, the big bad dino is just depicted as being an animal living its life and gets an undeserving gnarly death all because of a 65 million year old grudge match. It litarally shows that its not a killing machine when it had the scuffle with rexy, and that it wouldnt kill without reason. The basis of the already dumb clone girl plot was to explain Lockwood and Hammond's distance from one another because Hammond disapproved and was the only reason that plotline made any sense originally, so obviously they retconned it. Now shes an asexual copy of her mother, which completely removes the reason from Lockwood's absence throughout the original and establishes yet another character no one had ever heard of for no reason. I mean like, surely you can establish a relation between her and the locusts some other way.

I say this knowing full well that much effort and money went into this movie but, lets us speak for realzies here. These movies were not ever, even though some of them are, meant to be what one would call, "a great film!" There are no Citizen Kanes, or Cassablancas, or thespian driven ART, in these. At their core, the JP, and JW movies are meant to be two things. For me at least, nostalgic, and fun. And, I find both with all of the films, somewhere, somehow I find love for each movie in the franchise. Even if they are silly saussages.
