Dead End Ben

Yayyyy the Movie that got me into horror finally is on the kill count!!! Thx James!!!

Joe Crammond

first kill count release since joining your patreon crew and what a first video to have come out

Evan Linden

I watched it for the first time in a film class in my early twenties. Fifteen years later, Anthony Perkins is a role model for me as a queer actor

Jacob Waters

I’m glad I’ve already seen the movie lol

Evan Linden

Welcome to the Patreon meaties, Joe

Joseph Herrmann

After seeing this film for the first time I felt an overwhelming sense of unease. Anthony Perkins is marvelous in it, everything about his performance works so well. I think this is the film that truly got me to appreciate how great horror can be as a genre. I make sure to re-watch it every few years, my last trip was on the big screen, something I recommend to everyone who can find a showing. I also love this video because I got to hear James say my last name, made me chuckle hearing it.

HelloSydney666

Okay, I must confess something.... I've never seen psycho. I know hate me but seeing this I'm going to see it this weekend

Dowin

FUCK YEAH 4k

Froggy fresh

The whiplash of going from psycho, one of the best horror movies ever made to five nights at Freddy’s 2 lol. Anyway super excited for the rest of this franchise and year 10 as a whole bc of more older movies being covered

ThatFckr

That feels like classic dead meat right there. Jumping between a classic franchise and whatever the fuck

Kat Saracen

james both of the kills say "48 mins in" - just a heads up

Hannah G

My mom was a teen when Psycho came out and said it took her a decade to feel comfortable taking a shower alone.

Chonto the Destroyer

Eeeeee! This was my very first favorite horror movie! SO excited to finally get a kill count for it.

I still remember watching this unspoiled at age 13 and I will never forget my scream when Norman ran in at the end. Anthony Perkins disarmed me as the son who protects his mother even if it means doing unsavory things but he seems like a genuinely good person who seems disgusted with her actions but willing to do what he has to do and the reveal at the end gave me chills. I still love rewatching it. It's such a cozy movie.

Alice

Good episode. It'll be interesting to see how the dead meat team handle the DID/pluralism element in the sequels; as it gets more sympathetic to Norman, if they touch on the real life medical conditions that this film quasi-portrays (it very much isn't the same as the aforementioned DSM-5 acronyms, but it was the 60s and the depiction of 'split personality' has had long standing ramifications on people who have those conditions)

adam williams

The ending in kill counts is where its at 🤣🤣

Jimmie Maghes

This movie really is a masterpiece.

HarlequinClaire

"You're a cop, do your job" - I laughed embarrassingly loudly at that.

Locke

Thanks for making me rewatch the movie for the first time in at least 7 years! Can't wait for the other Psycho movies, which I have never seen before :)

JOSHUA N HAYES

Man im pumped for these .... really interested in 2 and 3's Kill Count .... Ive never seen to much on their production

Mark Lynn

Hoping James mentions RIP to Anne Heche in remake 😢 ✝️ also in "I Know What You Did Last Summer" KC

GodBat

That's nice of James to let his mother do the numbers. 😏

Joe Croft

Was certainly not expecting a Mariah Carey jump scare. The spit take I did, though!

Isa Fussman

I LOVE the " 1 for you 1 for me" schedule cause I either get A) a new pop movie im excited to hear his thoughts on B) a cool old or indie movie I LOVE C) I learn about a cool movie and get to watch it like its horror movie book club

Mahtomedi1997

Fantastic kill count I love that psycho franchise is finally being covered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mark Lynn

Did James mention Janet Leigh was in "Halloween H20"?

Randall Buchanan

Glad to see the sequels are getting Kill Counts. They aren't perfect but Perkins is cooking with gas.

Miranda Hester

Fingers crossed that Chelsea is the host for the Psycho 1998 Kill Count.

Seth

God I can't wait for more of the "weird old shit". That's when the KC is at it's best.

BeccyBooDraws

It’s great seeing the Kill Count covering this classic. I remember renting a dvd of this from my local library back in high school. The librarian told me about how after watching it at a girls boarding academy, the girls would shower in groups with others watching the door outside. But, some months later, one of the girls showered alone. Coincidentally, a picture fell off the wall and shattered, which absolutely terrified the poor girl.

mortua conjuga

it's crazy how i fully thought this film had been covered already—either way i am happy to see it
