Just a fantastic film. I love how all his films are connected in some way

Katie Smead

I really liked this movie. Different but in a good way!

Franklin Co

I looove whenever y'all reference Sinister bc it's hilarious how terrifying Baghuul is every time 😭

GodBat

Golem or Gollum. Either is fine.

Amanda Burke

First, I would not have let Olin in my house and I would have been murdered, which sucks. Second, the scare where Yana looks down and the golem is looking up startled me so much I made a noise that may have traumatized my dog.

Dark Entries

Absolutely the greatest Irish horror movie I've seen. It's really good

I think the term Chelsea's looking for with the magic dolls is "sympathetic magic." The concept is based on similarity between actions done to representative objects and intended actions on the target the object represents. Another aspect is the use of personal items of the target--hair, nail trimmings, teeth, blood, nametags--meant to establish a link to the target. A good example is the popular concept of a "voodoo doll" (I'm using quotes because it's not actually linked with the Voodoo or Vodou religions), where pins stuck into a doll are supposed to have negative effects on a target person. It's a very old folk belief.

Also, I like that the Golem shrieks like the Lighthouse Mermaid when it's clomping around looking to pull somebody's head off.

Perhaps we could be blessed with a commentary track on Caveat? Get James and Chelsea commentary on the silly rabbit with the drum? Mayhaps? 👀

Kady Lambert

Love this movie. Was watching it last Friday on the Last drive in

Parasocially Awkward

Three separate films, directed by Damian McCarthy, all featuring a rabbit. Is this confirmation that McCarthy is doing the sequel/reboot to 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'? Perhaps a remake of 'Harvey'?

I feel like the guy from You're Next is boyfriend of the year compared to the husband in Oddity.
