April Schedule: March of the Lizardmen! (Patreon)

Main Theme: Lizardmen and War Dinosaurs

Bonus Content: Cat Yokai (Malevolent Cats from Japanese Folklore)

Hi everyone! This month we're taking on a theme we haven't done before: Lizardmen! There was a lot to choose from here. Some creatures, like Slann Mage priests, require so much extra auxiliary content that it wasn't feasible to get to them on our first pass through this theme. We decided that providing general skink and saurus infantry was most important since they're the core of any army. We then followed up with some polls from our patrons to pick out some war dinos to add to the mix.

The second-highest result of the theme poll among our patrons was cat yokai. This quirky theme is different from most of our recent content. But we've had fun making monsters from folklore before, and we were happy to see interest in it. So, expect three cat monsters from Japanese folklore by the end of the month!

We also hit our 25 Patron Milestone recently, so we'll post our milestone release this month: Gifts of the Demon Gods. This post will have many options to customize creatures into servants of the different demon gods. These features include new stat block abilities and lair actions. We'll also include demons fit for customizing, such as the daemon prince and the soul grinder!

This month we're changing up the structure of our content. Rather than make one big creature guide with tactics, loot tables, and encounters, we'll move the tactics and loot tables into the creature documents, where they're easier to use when running games. The encounters will be posted separately for our patrons.

Bonus Theme Next Month: Clan Skryre Inspired Weaponry

Stay tuned for May, when the tyrannical chaos dwarves (who totally aren't lawful evil in spite of their name) march forth. Our patrons can expect some polls coming soon to determine what monsters and machines we should focus our efforts on.

And speaking of wicked machines, our patrons also voted to see some ratfolk weaponry inspired by Clan Skryre that will also be blasting onto the scene that month!
