Kaibyo - Mythical Cat Monsters From Japanese Folklore (Patreon)

Hi everyone! Today we're sharing our bonus theme: Kaibyo! These are cat yokai from Japanese mythology. There are more magical cats in Japanese myths than we could do in a single post, so we picked out three we thought would be interesting. These are:

Kasha: Fiery cats that serve fiendish forces, pull burning carts, and steal corpses.

Nekomata: Shapeshifting and size-changing cat monsters that use their transforming abilities to fool and sneak up on prey.

Vampiric Bakeneko: Undead cat monsters that drink the blood of murder victims, put foes to sleep, and exact cruel vendettas against their chosen victims.

It was nice to get back to making some monsters from folklore, and we hope you have fun with them!

As always, your questions, comments, and feedback are welcome.
