Why some comics look different. (Patreon)

Heya everyone,
Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm working on a few things but aren't ready for release.
So today I decided to share a bit of insight on my comics. You may have noticed some distinctions between my newest comics. Thats because the program I use is Poser, and that has two forms of rendering types. Firefly and Superfly.
Firefly relies more on CPU usage and comes up with faster and cleaner renders but the quality of renders completely relies on the user. You can render an image very quickly if you choose to ignore shadows and ambient lighting but the images look flat and cartoonish. The higher the pixel count the better but bigger render times. You also get the option to turn on reflections on certain objects. You get a lot of options with Firefly and no matter what you choose to turn on or off the image ultimately looks clean enough. I always choose to go for quality, thus the longer render times.
Superfly is a newer rendering engine. You can use your CPU but works best with a strong GPU. Unlike firefly, shadows are always turned on. So are reflections, specular lighting, and so on. The best part is that renders overall turn out more realistic because it automatically uses raytracing. That means that light bounces from the environment to create better shadows and realistic lighting. I mainly use Superfly when making a One Shot because, unfortunately, the renders take 3 times as long or even more. The way to make renders quicker is to lower the quality but that gives images a Noise effect. A good example is my recent comic Breakup and New Style.
So there you have it. Firefly, quick and easy. Superfly, realistic but time consuming. There are also problems with having textures work properly on each engine but thats another problem. Ultimately, I would like to use Superfly a lot more but the longer render times don't work for me.
Up above you can see an example of both rendering styles. Same lighting on both.
Hope that clears some things up if you've ever wondered why my comics may have a different style.
