Wellllll this was a wild ride! Gritty, ruthless, thoughtful, with great performances, interesting music, and cool shots. What other Michael Mann movies should we check out?

Superb thriller and reaction, so tense! For another great Cruise movie, check out Martin Scorsese's sports / hustlers / drama 'The Color of Money' (1986) - but you need to see 'The Hustler' first, as 'Color' is a 25 years later sequel. In this clip Ben Stiller plays 'Tom Crooz', who is Tom Cruise's stunt double on John Woo's Mission Impossible II. Six mins long, very funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ53-SOjD1g&t=193s 'Manhunter' (1986) is a great thriller by Michael Mann and it is based on the Thomas Harris novel 'Red Dragon', which is the first Hannibal Lecter novel. Silence of the Lambs is the sequel to Red Dragon. Brian Cox plays Lecter in 'Manhunter'.

Manhunter is an eerie thriller one of Micheal Mann's early works and it features a pre CSI William Petersen He also directed one of my favorite thrillers HEAT, with Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino Mann is the MAN when it comes to crime thrillers .

I have to double dip here ... i'm so looking forward to this reaction , Tom Cruise playing against his usual wholesome image i love the look of it and how Micheal Mann creates such an intense visceral world . i just know it's going o be a thrill ride with Jen as the guide : )
