This one was definitely more brutal than the first one. A lot more ruthless killing, especially by the bad guys. We certainly weren't expecting anything to happen to Dave's dad and it did. I had completely forgotten about that part. Forgot about the part with John Leguizamo getting killed too. And by Jorah Mormont of all people!

Yeah, not as good as #1 but it was still enjoyable (and gross)! And a fab reaction. 😂👍 Btw, Kick Ass' muscles at the end were CGI'd. As were Night Bitch's boobs. Brightburn (2019) is an unusual and interesting super villain origin story / horror that's a variation on Superman. The film asks the question 'What if...?' the alien child that arrived on Earth was not benevolent. I forgot to mention this is in my original Kick Ass reaction comment. Did you know there were several masked vigilante concerned citizens running around Seattle, Washington for around 3 years. From 2011 till they dispersed in 2014. A man with the pseudonym 'Phoenix Jones' was the first one and over time was joined by several more, who formed an anti-crime group; 'Rain City Superhero Movement'. (not joking) ----------------------------------------- From Wiki ; Phoenix Jones (born Benjamin John Francis Fodor, May 25, 1988) is an American real-life masked hero and mixed martial artist. Initially wearing a ski mask to intervene in a public assault, Fodor later developed a full costume and adopted "Phoenix Jones" as a pseudonym. From 2011 until its dissolution in 2014, Jones was the leader of the Rain City Superhero Movement, a Seattle, Washington-based citizen patrol group that described itself as a crime prevention brigade ----------------------------------------- According to wiki, he has been attacked several times, stabbed and shot at on his many street patrols. I think he ended up appearing in court on assault charges. If I recall correctly, he is an ex-marine and a husband, father. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Jones# https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Jones#Press_coverage
