This week we have 1 more scary movie I've been dreading and 1... horror mystery thriller? I'm not sure, that's what IMDB says -- but it's got Keanu and Pacino so I'm excited! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Also more Seiny and Trek of course!

Hope everyone has a great week! β™‘β™‘β™‘

*Regarding Email Notifications: I know it can be annoying to be emailed every single time I post something. You can change your email notifications on the left hand panel in 'Settings' under 'Email Notifications' (desktop)

*Regarding Name in Credits: If you're on a credits tier it can take up to a week to see your name in the credits (though usually within a few days). This is because I sometimes work ahead to get videos ready to post before they go live. If you do not see your name after 1 week please message me and I will make sure to add it. Credits will be listed as your name shows on Patreon. If you don't want your name in credits please message me and I'll remove you from list.

*Spoilers: PLEASE no spoilers in comments or in direct messages to me. No "hints" or trying to lead me in the right direction or asking if I want to know something. The point of these reactions is for me to discover things as I go and to be surprised. Thank you, I appreciate it!

*Replies to Messages/Comments: Across all platforms I now get hundreds of comments and messages every single day. I do my best to return messages but please do not be offended if I do not reply or if replies take a while. Many larger channels hire people to help them answer messages or reply to comments. I read all comments and messages myself, even if I don't have time to reply. If you leave a comment or message please know I received it and I appreciate it.

The Cabin in the Woods AND The Devil's Advocate. Gonna be a great week! πŸ˜ƒ

Ian

Never seen devil's advocate so that will be a first for me , cabin in the woods is pretty amusing and a fun watch I'm sure you're get through it protection blanket accompanied ofc πŸ™‚ and more Seinfeld and trek is always a fun time πŸ‘Œ did you remember the Heinekens πŸ€” cheers for a fun week ahead Jen πŸ”₯

Banes

Cool! Is this Al's first appearance on the channel? No - I just looked. Ocean's 13. Well, cool stuff anyway. Dang - I got caught in Seinfeld's episode order confusion again. There's an episode I thought was this week but it's next week. Sein and their production order vs broadcast order wackiness! Regardless, there's good Sein stuff this week. Gonna be a fun week all around!

Mark McKeown

Not seen DA so will watch with you, but Cabin is great fun!

Banes

Oh, yeah, of course! Al is the coolest. He just put out an autobiography that's apparently great. Saw his interview on Conan's podcast. He's amazing.

Eric Denney

Can't wait for The Devil's Advocate reaction πŸ₯³

Kristin D

SUPER excited that you are watching Devil's Advocate! How did that come about? Yay!!!

Clay F

The Devil's Advocate is better than Constantine (2005). I like the TNG episode The Perfect Mate. Imaginary Friend had potential. TNG is some of my favorite content on the channel. Looking forward to The Cabin in the Woods. I need to catch up on the reactions to Seinfeld episodes (awesome).

JakeToll

I've been waiting for a reaction to The Devil's Advocate! It freaked me out when I first saw it, but it's so good!

To Wa

Instead of BOB, how about Patton, A Bridge Too Far , The Great Escape, Where Eagles Dare & The Guns of Navarone ?

Clay F

I am unsure what poll result numbers would mean a "big YES" in the BoB poll below but the YES votes are approaching 60% (which happens to be the super majority needed in the US Senate to break a filibuster and that never happens). An interesting (and maybe unimportant) nuance is the IMDb user rating is 9.4. IMDb ratings above 8 are rare. IMDb ratings above 9 are for the most part non-existent. A YES/NO vote on any series (e.g., TNG, Seinfeld, etc.) would generally struggle to reach a super majority for YES. I think that 57% (current YES vote) for BoB is a good consensus. Yet, I am biased in favor of you reacting to the series.

Alan Oliver

BoB is surely a must watch...what those guys did for all of us (I'm from uk) should be seen by all. Respect.

Jason Scade

Awesome choices there, bud! I'm *aching* for Where Eagles Dare. Did you see / like 'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare' (2024)? It's bloody, *bloody* good WWII action.

David Murray

I'll be watching three out of four full-lengths. First time that's happened.

Over50Gamer

I'm very excited for Cabin In The Woods. I love how unique it is, that's all I'll say about it.

Nilly Willy

I missed the poll but definitely +1 to Band of Brothers! Also, I've been around for awhile and been wondering if we might ever get a Lord of the Rings reaction? I think I've heard you say you've seen them but it would still be cool I think to hear your commentary. Plus it's the time of year I'm about to start craving it again. Hope all is well, thanks for the movies!

Jason Scade

If I recall, Jen has said she saw the original cinema released versions back then but forgets much. She's said she hasn't seen the extended versions and would like to. Woohoo! πŸ˜ƒ They are absolutely fantastic!

Jason Scade

@Banes. I was lucky enough to see Al Pacino live around 10-12 years ago. He did a European tour called 'An evening with Al Pacino', which was just him alone on stage for just over 2 hrs, talking about his early life, upbringing, family, his early career, later career. He did a Q+A with the audience for the last section. It was an interesting eve, still have my ticket stub. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ Hooah! ❀️ He has so many outstanding films. But for myself, I think my fave has to be 'Scent of a Woman' (1993). It's f**king beautiful. πŸ₯²β€οΈ

Banes

Scent of a Woman was great - I loved "Insomnia" too. Must have been cool to see him live, yeah! I haven't seen many interviews with him, though I'm sure he's done them. Sounds like his book has a lot to say about his upbringing and background, too.
