S03E17 The Boyfriend Part 1 & 2 S03E18 The Limo

This week it's a jumbo episode and then a ride in a Limo takes a very unexpected turn 😂 I know The Boyfriend is listed differently in different places, sometimes it's one jumbo ep and sometimes it's broken into 2. I watched the jumbo ep with runtime 46:39 👍

Those are great episodes. Yeah you have to watch JFK now.... and you will have a great surprise!

Georgius Agricola

I love the role reversal in The Boyfriend! Elaine had a lot of fun with Jerry. And I thought Keith Hernandez was a pretty good actor. Jen, you seemed a little subdued for a Seinfeld episode, like you're not 100% yet. :-(

JFK is definitely a great movie to watch. I just went to the request site and was very surprised it's only received 45 votes. 46 now. 😁

Banes

Such great episodes. And you look like you're feeling better, eh? A pinkish hue, a rosy glow.

Tom Evans

I don't think I've ever seen these episodes before. I'm guessing the 2-parter episode and the Nazi episode were not frequent re-runs on syndicated TV.

ioma

Yup, that was a spoof of JFK(1991) with the Zapruder film angle. Also, funny how back then they condemned Nazi rallies at Madison Square Garden... Hope next week we get LOTR: The Return of the King-extended

Anthony Peterson

You managed to bang out a triple helping of ol' Seiny! Hope you're feeling a little better, can't wait for this tonight

Ian

Always plenty of fun and laughter watching this show along with you Jen 🔥 probably save this til the weekend though but looking forward to it for sure 🔥💙

Respect the Cockerel

For your consideration James Cook is a first class explorer. He created accurate maps of many unexplored coasts including Canada

Pretty sure that back in the day, some of these two parters were actually aired as special hour long episodes. In syndication, they only ever show half hours, so they split them up after the original showings.

You may only notice on the rewatch, but you can see the real culprit in the background of the original "spitter" videos. I think you can even see him spit.

Nathan Burgess

So in the episode with a major rally as MSG (well next to MSG in this episode) they have a Trump plane at the airport. That’s like the Simpson’s calling Trump’s Presidency. I could see why that episode might not be on many replays.

Jason Scade

Great eps / reactions. Def watch J.F.K. (1991), it's gripping.

You'd think Elain would've been able to tell Keith Hernandez smoked from kissing him, or even just being around him. Non-smokers tend to be sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke. Very strong odor.

Toward the end of the Keith Hernandez episode, George compares Elaine to C. Everett Koop. That was the U.S. Surgeon General at the time. Unrelated to the episode, he had a very distinct look about him, like the KFC Colonel if he was a tough guy. lol

Andrew Roach

Indeed the concept of two episodes originally aired as one is very important in your far in the future Star Trek reactions. TNG did this twice, the premier episode and the finale and DS9 did it three times, the premier, finale and a special episode at the start of season 4. You should watch a platform, Neflix does it right, that has these special two hour episodes playable as one because when they are split in two for syndication many scenes are cut out to make room for the extra set of end credits, opening credits and "previously on" which were never part of the original airing.

The song that George was whistling in the limo is called If I Were a Rich Man. It’s from the musical Fiddler on the Roof.
