COMMIE! COMMIE! TRAITOR TO OUR COUNTRY! -One time, I got picked up by a bakery truck. You think that stuff smells good? Try being cooped up in the back of one those babies.... 🤣🤣

Jerry's remark "I choose not to run" alludes to President Calvin Coolidge's famous quote "I do not choose to run". I also sensed that it was referencing something, but didn't know for sure until I looked it up. As a Canadian, I'm not overly familiar with American history that might be more obvious to those from the U.S.

Charles

Awesome. I love Coolidge.

About the Q you had about Co. : I'm no expert, and I really don't want to talk about politics here; but I wouldn't take the word of Jerry Seinfeld or any of the writers, including Larry David, as facts on the matter. We're also talking about a subject that has been spat on so much that very few even Know the facts any more... Also, it's one big umbrella for dozens of movements, and ideas. The former Soviet Union had one version of it, China has another one, Cuba has one, and so on. Problem is no one teaches you about these things in school, you have to look them up yourself. The winner writes the history books, on top of this. To each his own, btw. And I think one should support ideas, not parties. But it was still funny! :-)

Jonas

Yeah, there are definitely delicatessens under communism.

Milton Reduxed

Rather than support ideas I support the reality that although parts of China were as poor as Africa in the 1970s they rapidly ended poverty, and people stopped dying of hunger, when they rejected communism and became the 2nd largest economy in the world by 2010

So, George Steinbrenner was the owner of the Yankees. The Seinfeld George Steinbrenner is voiced by Larry David, and, as co creator, he's allowed to just run on and keep talking whether the other character is leaving or not.
