Harrison Ford for President! This was a thrill ride with a good score of course by Jerry Goldsmith. Lots of recognizable faces in the supporting cast too! Any other Harrison or 90's action movies we should check out?

Ian

This one sure was a fun ride or should that be flight 😀 edge of your seat stuff with a 10/10 reaction from Jen just brilliant 🔥

Dylan

Woohoo I love when Jen watches a 90s action movie. This is a good one and Gary Oldman played an excellent villain.

Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

Well, 1993's Hard Target starring JCVD, 1996's Eraser starring Arnold or 1997's Grosse Pointe Blank starring John Cusack 😁

Robert da Spruce

Great thrill ride! Looking forward to your reaction!

Tim Heron

Two that I can think of off the top of my head are "Clear and Present Danger," his second outing as Jack Ryan, and "The Devil's Own" with Brad Pitt.

Rob Nichols

Harrison Ford movie: The Frisco Kid (1979), comedy western with Gene Wilder.

i always assumed the prime minister of Canada got around by flying moose.

If I ever get a pet Pegasus, I'm naming it Air Horse One.

Toy Soldiers (1991) - Sean Austin, Wil Wheaton, Louis Gossett Jr. The government still uses lots of faxes in 2025. There is a national fax system. The older generation believes it is the only legit way to sign and send documents.

I love this movie. Good action. Great score. Excellent cast. The politics on the other hand… well, they’ve certainly aged in hindsight. Love that 90s optimism. A post-Soviet Russia on its way to becoming a bastion of liberal democracy and human rights while also staying free of capitalist oligarchy? America gearing up for a totally just global war on terrorism that certainly won’t have any negative consequences? The whole world seeing a nation murder 200,000 civilians in a year-long genocide and stepping in to stop it and throwing the perpetrators in a gulag? It all seems so… quaint in hindsight.

I personally think it’s rude of the Canadian geese not to bring the PM through a tour of the Midwest United States with them in the winter. I mean, if they’re going to chase me and yell at me in the work parking lot, at least I could’ve gotten to meet Trudeau.

Good movie and great action. Always love seeing Gary Oldman working it. 😃 More Harrison Ford must-see: - Witness (1985) - Frantic (1988) - Six Days Seven Nights (1998) - Cowboys & Aliens (2011) - Ender’s Game (2013) Not specifically centered around Harrison Ford’s character, but I always thought these two were pretty good rom-coms: - Working Girl (1988) - Sabrina (1995)

thomas king

Always thought they should of paid Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer to do cameos as Maverick and Iceman. Be the F-15 pilots who come to Ford's rescue

Marc Peterson

Absolutely Witness (1985) with Ford as a Philly homicide detective on a harrowing case that takes him into an Amish farm community. Great cast including Kelly McGillis, Alexander Gudonov, Danny Glover, Patti Lupone and a young Lukas Haas. Was nominated for 8 Oscars with 2 wins. Exceptional story and film.

Jerry Goldsmith also did the music for 'First Blood' and 'Rambo, First Blood Part 2'

20:48 - The USS Nimitz (CVN-68) is the lead ship of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, commissioned in 1975. She was the second nuclear powered carrier to be constructed by the United States, the first being USS Enterprise (CVN-65), which was commissioned in 1961. With the Enterprise being decommissioned in 2017, the Nimitz is currently the oldest aircraft carrier in commission for the United States Navy. She is currently on her final deployment and planned to be decommissioned and deactivated around 2026/2027.

Rob Nichols

My dad did two cruises on the Nimitz in the mid to late 70s, he even took me on board once.

Struzzylive

how did she not see Bill Macy lol

Joel

The CO must have liked your dad, that was nice of him to allow @Rob

Rob Nichols

It's common to have family members on board while the ship's in port (or at least it was, can't say about nowadays). Dad needed me to help carry some of his stuff off.
