I was at a hotel once and didn't think to check whether the staff member who set the clock got the AM/PM right so when I set the alarm, it didn't go off (it wasn't the Olympics but it was for one of my own bigg days with an important wake-up time). If I had gotten the AM/PM wrong when setting the alarm, two wrongs would have made a right. Anyways, I had also set my phone so it worked out. It was one of those days you would want a "fail safe".

Jen I have been waiting for you to react to this episode. The Soup Nazi is my favorite of the show, True story. This character is based on a real guy and restaurant in Manhattan. After this episode aired. Jerry went there to eat with that cast and crew. He kicked them all out and said they had ruined his reputation. Jerry offered an apology, but the owner yelled at him and said. “No Soup For you! ! “ Apparently it is forbidden to mention Seinfeld in any of their locations…lol

Scent of a Woman is really good. Hoo-ah!

There are certain episodes that most of us couldn't wait for from the very first day you started posting these episodes: The Soup Nazi is one of 'em and man oh man it did not disappoint! Your Seinfeld reactions are so much fun I've actually started watching the edited versions as well (which are great in their own right). In fact I might actually rewatch that Soup Nazi reaction right now, which even I can't believe! THANKS, JEN! That was well-worth the wait!

What I love about the Soup Nazi episode is it's not just the great soup stand scenes.....it's the whole shmoopie subplot with Alexandra Wentworth (who's great in this) and Susan. And then the whole amoir subplot with those great performances from the "street toughs", lol. All of the guest stars this episode absolutely killed it, as did the cast. (Ironically enough, the director of the episode says that when they were working on it that week, they thought they had a dud of an episode!). Even the cashier who yanks the soup away....or the guy on line who gets paralyzed with fright......definitely one of the greatest episodes of the series.....and that's saying a lot!

Can’t believe the Soup Nazi episode is up already. That actor stills makes a living off that character.

I can't recall the name, but some years ago my local Costco in CA was selling a canned soup that was labeled as being from the original NYC soup Nazi. I took it at face value thinking Costco would not have carried it if it was not true. Unfortunately, I was able to eat the soup without my knees buckling. I'm guessing the soup did not take well to being canned!

Oh, yeah, Scent of a Woman is worth a watch! I'll line up for that one like a Soup Nazi customer!

I just found the interview where the writer tells this story, and apparently it is worse than I read. I guess the writers warned Jerry Seinfeld not to take them to that soup kitchen, but Jerry wanted to go there anyway, and the real Soup Nazi cussed him out when he stepped up in line in front of everyone. The writer said that Jerry’s apology was the most sarcastic “apology” that he ever heard…lol

What happens when Jen goes on vacation? NO JEN FOR YOU!

BND

hey Jen you should react to the Seinfeld bloopers, they're funny too!
