**** VOTE FOR ALL YOU WOULD WATCH A REACTION TO!! **** I may watch more than top choice if others get lots of votes! If they ALL get lots of votes maybe I'll watch them all muahahhaah 😂😱Movies not chosen doesn't mean they will never be watched. They are still on my to-watch list so make sure you go upvote them on MOVIE REQUEST SITE

** How did I make this poll? I chose sequels-ish to the spooky-ish movies I've watched for the channel so far. I marked them with 🫣 ratings for how scared I am to watch them lol 😂

Dylan

This is a fantastic list. I’m voting for all of them and it doesn’t matter which one wins cause I’m excited for the reaction 🔥

Tom W.

Keep up the great work, Jen. 👍

DrJonasVenture

Prince of Darkness is great but not a sequel. Probably the most underrated John Carpenter film.

Collinson

Wow so many good films on here which is good as no matter what wins it'll be a good reaction to watch. Recommendation for spooky season would be The Witch from 2015.

Jake McNulty

Glad to see the original "Dawn of the Dead" on a poll, I feel like it's been overshadowed by the remake.

The_Truth

Hereditary , The Conjuring, IT, Insidious, Paranormal Activity

Randy Aiken

I would have voted for a re-watch of the Exorcist! 😱

Robert Cooper

Ooh, The Fly 2. I had forgotten about that. Curse your black heart for reminding me. Price of Darkness is my favorite Carpenter. I know it's not The Thing or They Live, but it has a really cool premise and it is an absolute masterpiece of in-camera effects.

Ian Cano

She likely thought it was a sequel because some fans refer to The Thing (1982), Prince of Darkness (1987) and In the Mouth of Madness (1994) as being John Carpenter's Apocalypse Trilogy. This may be true thematically but the movies' storylines are not related.

Harvey Lee

There are some great choices here both Scream 2 and Psycho 2 are amazing sequels And Dawn of the Dead is just a groundbreaker for the genre . I"m looking forward to this who ever wins I'll just be happy to watch .

Brian's Dog

Friday the 13th and Halloween both have the kind of 2nd entry sequels that come very close to and possibly exceed the originals.

Jen Murray

That's why I called it "Sequels-ish". I heard they are thematically related and often watched as a trilogy, and I'd be interested to see, so I included it :)

Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

Blade II is awesome but a lot of those movies are great! Looking forward to seeing who wins!

John W Foster

Thank you! I missed Halloween II in the list!

Amarant Coral

Orginal Dawn of the Dead (1978) is one of the best horror movies I've ever seen. Romero working in coordination with Dario Argento and using music from Goblin is just perfection. Hope it does well on the poll.

Vina

Honestly the whole Final Destination should be watched!

Banes

I don’t want you to be terrified - but Friday the 13th 2…I MUST vote for that classic! Among others -x)

Amarant Coral

Oh yeah. It's one of my top 5 horror films all time.

Patrick

This is an absolutely packed poll. There's so many that I'd pick. Maybe 12 that's I'd be pretty down with?

Over50Gamer

I loved The Fly (with Jeff Goldblum) but The Fly 2 is a huge pass. Also, Evil Dead 2 is just a loose remake of Evil Dead. Better to go with Army Of Darkness.

Jon Anderson

I'm a big fan of Psycho 2. Nothing matches the original, but it's a real underrated gem.

Clay F

As you may have noticed, it currently next to last place.

Max du Coudray

Evil Dead 2 is literally one of the best and most important movies ever made. Prince of Darkness is really underrated, and is sort of forgotten among John Carpenter's other 80s output.

Clay F

I am the exact opposite. I found 2 to vote for. Horror is one of my least favorite genres.

Max du Coudray

This is an insane take. Evil Dead 2 is by far the best thing Sam Raimi ever made and is better than Evil Dead and Army of Darkness combined.

Summer

I haven’t seen Freddy material in over thirty years, my brother used to love it, I recall it being scary, maybe watch something fun scare between the scary things. I do plan to what Ghostbusters 1 and 2, I will have your reactions with them, and might rewatch TNG Schisms and Frame of Mind because they are good scary, if you want happy halloween one Garfield all the way. Did I mention Garfield has music…..

Geoff S.

I voted for so many of these!😂

Clay F

Voted only these 2: Dawn of the Dead (1978) and 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016).

Jake McNulty

I'd loved to have seen "The Exorcist III" on this poll honestly.

Kristin

Evil dead 2, cause I really want to see Jen react to Army of Darkness.

Clay F

Looks like winner will be one of top 3: Scream 2, Evil Dead 2, or Blade 2. I hope not Blade 2. "Though Blade II offers more of what worked in the original, its plot and character development appear to have been left on the cutting room floor."

2026-09-06 01:00 Random suggestion, though it isn’t a sequel - Slither. Horror, in the slightly campy 80’s vein, and it stars Nathan Fillion, so it has that great dry humor to it, too.

Curran Dobbs

I'll understand if strangers on the internet don't believe me but I'm friends with one of the Location Production Assistants of that movie.

Flounder

I’m surprised that Hellraiser 2 isn’t in the poll. Also, not a sequel but, JACOBS LADDER (1990, for Halloween). Tim Robbins’s gives the performance of a lifetime. Story is based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Plenty of creepiness and jump scares for the spooky season.

Katie Jackson

Garfield's Halloween Adventure is a fun 20 minute animated special that's free to watch on YouTube. Always good if you need something to watch after a scary movie.

DrJonasVenture

I hope you watch it. Always in rotation at my house during October.

Summer

But one thing I’m not is a scaredy cat…..

Thadman

My top pick for this is "Doctor Sleep" and I can't stress more that you should look for the director's cut. It extends some scenes and adds some that makes it flow better.

rubberkidney

listen, you cant start evil dead and not finish it. its just not possible. army of darkness is amazing though so thats good news. they are all amazing but army is just....perfect.

Amarant Coral

2nd on Jacob's Ladder. Truly haunting film.

rubberkidney

im disappointed that its only in first by a slim margin. hopefully more reasonable people will arrive soon.

Jason Scade

The Dr. is in the house.

Samuel Simpson

Prince of Darkness is the best and creepiest on the list IMO.

Byrd N. Hand

Was also hoping for "Red Dragon," the other outing in the Hannibal Lecter trilogy ("Hannibal Rising"? Never heard of it. 🤐). Given that you saw what is chronologically the middle outing ("The Silence of the Lambs") first, it doesn't really matter which one you watch first between that and "Hannibal."

Happy Hanukkah

I somehow first thought you were talking about the 1998 remake of Psycho. My eyebrows were rising. :-)

Glenn Galloway

Underrated masterpiece. Also allows for the side game of "How many actors from other John Carpenter movies will Jen recognize/remember?"

Eric Janssen

Psycho 2 (from the writer of the 80’s “Fright Night”) is criminally underrepresented for reactions. For all those who said “What? But Norman was such a nice guy!” on their first Psycho watch…vindication.

Geoff S.

Where is Devil Dog: Hound of Hell?

Mastervodo

Prince of Darkness is underrated - but Blade II is a banger!

Mastervodo

Totally agree! Still holds up to this day! Incredibly well done!

Mastervodo

I really don't understand why there is not more Prince of Darkness love - unless people just haven't seen it and just don't know how good it is!

Mastervodo

Prince of Darkness is MUCH better than They Live, and definitely as good as The Thing.

Mastervodo

I am hoping, regardless of the poll, Jen chooses to watch Prince of Darkness for us. I don't know why more reactors haven't watched it.

Stefan Loferer

It's one of my favorite horror movies with another awesome Carpenter soundtrack. I've never seen a reaction to it. So, it's about time.😉❤️

Summer

Lets just make sure anything Jen watches involves dangers around adults. Scary movies can be worse after the best thing enters your life.

Paul Grodt

For good classic horror, you need to watch some Vincent Price (The old guy from Edward Sissorhands). My favorite is Theatre of Blood. A Shakespearean actor goes about killing the critics who gave him negative reviews in a manner based on the plot of the play in question. It is super goofy and satisfying.

Eric Janssen

And I’m not going to get into the discussion of whether Nightmare 2: Freddy’s Revenge is officially a “gay” horror (after the usual suspects adopted it from cheap jokes about the bullied-Carrie plot, the jock bromance characters, and the lead teen actor coming Out), but it’s considered the bastard child of the series— Quickly ground out by the studios without Wes Craven’s input when they discovered the first movie’s popularity, and with absolutely no clue of how the franchise was supposed to work. Nightmare 3 : Dream Warriors was the “apology” that was supposed to end the “broken” franchise, and became the classic instead.

Eric Janssen

And Halloween III will just have to wait for a #3’s poll, unless Jen’s seen it already.

Eric Janssen

I noticed None of the Above is beating out The Fly 2 for next to last place. And richly deserved.

Eric Janssen

Red Dragon is good, but if she knows Lambs, she could go straight to “Manhunter”, with its 80’s Miami Vice look and Brian Cox as Hannibal.

Byrd N. Hand

Except "Manhunter" is a total standalone film, and, yes, it frankly felt like a glorified Miami Vice episode to me... and that awful, cheesy synth score was also hard to get past. 🤔

Byrd N. Hand

Yes, "Theater of Blood" is an overlooked gem. Other underrated '70s horror/horror adjacent films: "Play 'Misty' for Me," "The Other," "The Possession of Joel Delaney," "Sisters," "The Legend of Hell House," "Don't Look Now," "The Stepford Wives," "Shivers," "Rabid," "Suspiria," "Martin," "Magic," and "The Brood."

Ryan

Something wicked this way comes

Julian Pamplin

Imagine voting for a Blade movie when the thesis is spooky season. I swear… comprehension skills are a thing of the past.

Zapp Rowsdower

"VOTE FOR ALL YOU WOULD WATCH A REACTION TO!!" isn't hard to comprehend. Neither is the use of the "ISH" in "Spooky-ish".

Jon Anderson

I will never tire of suggesting Theatre of Blood. It was one of Vincent's favourite roles.

Peter Dillard

There's an excellent vampire movie named 'Count Dracula' starring Louis Jordan from 1977 you might want to consider. It's the only Dracula movie I've seen that capture the 'romance' aspect.

Jen Murray

I made the poll and included it cause I want to see it and also it's listed as a horror/fantasy/action/thriller on imdb. I am not perfect and I make these polls myself without wanting to know too much about the movies. This is pretty much why I avoid doing themed polls. I hope you guys will extend some understanding my way on themed poll choices. If you want to watch it, vote for it. Not looking for a vote on how scary the movies are or if they fit the theme.

Kristin

You're doing great Jen! Don't let the muggles get you down (I need to take this advice for myself recently).

Kristin

Now it's in second. :(

Kristin

Definitely not "spooky-sh" movies 😂

Eric Janssen

But you have to first see The Abominable Dr. Phibes to appreciate that Vincent’s Theatre of Blood character as Phibes’ modern day “ descendant”, and third movie in the “trilogy”. (Except that calling it the “Phibes trilogy” means recognizing the existence of Dr. Phibes Rises Again, which stinks worse than Hannibal. 😠👎)

Eric Janssen

If you can find one, the fans of a lot of reactors will thank you. As it is, RIP Disney Movie Club. 😢

Eric Janssen

Oh, that’s easy: Just watch any horror movie made in the 00’s-10’s, where studios stopped making them for teens anymore, since you couldn’t make movies for just ONE audience— And besides, teens didn’t buy old houses or have trophy-children in jeopardy. 🙄

Eric Janssen

Hehehh…. 😈 (But yes, if you’re a fangirl who likes directly linear story-connected sequels, it’s made for double features.)

Summer

Just looking out for Jen, and by adults I wasn’t considering older teens as kids I guess.

Bryan Tuck

It's unnecessary and inessential, but PSYCHO II is a better movie than it has any right to be. :) And EVIL DEAD 2 is just bananas (in the best way).

Opti_Frog

I've been saying this about Psycho II for decades.

Eric Janssen

Literally the only reasons it was made were A) Perkins was still alive, and B) they found alternate shower-scene storyboard in Hitchcock’s files after his death. They could have gotten anyone to direct, but they got Hitch’s old directorial intern (Richard Franklin). Sequels are rarely made with this much love.

Amarant Coral

Huge fan of Suspiria and Argento's other works as well. So unique visually and musically.

Amarant Coral

Yup. I only voted for Dawn of the Dead. It just fell down to 5th place 😩

thansen

Evil Dead will win, though I can't say I am a fan. The third film is pretty good, though.

Byrd N. Hand

"The Watcher in the Woods" as well.

Ryan

I would be happy to loan to Jen is wished

jon bolton

Plenty of great films there i ticked: Halloween 2, Final Destination 2, Hannibal, Prince Of Darkness, Scream 2, Dawn Of The Dead, Psycho 2, and I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Happy Hanukkah

The problem is that she is unlikely to react to something that is not *easily* available to the public.

Kristin

Ooooh, this is a really good movie (something wicked this way comes). I saw it as a child and definitely a good spooky movie for kids and adults.

Rob Nichols

"I swear… comprehension skills are a thing of the past." The irony.

Jason Scade

Psycho II is very good, it's an admirable sequel. ♥

jon bolton

Jen, i just had a random thought. I know you aren't a huge horror fan (i discovered that after watching your full length reaction to Halloween a few months ago, my joint favourite film with Pulp Fiction), and i'm not sure quite how much interest there'd be. Something slightly tamer you might like which i love, actually i grew up with loving since i was 6 are the Hammer series of Christopher Lee Dracula films. They are certainly pretty tame by horror film standards, but i still find them a fun watch. I would recommend you watch them in order though, and you would get the chance to practice your English accent, i don't think i've heard you do it since the Bond films, oh and of course Christopher Lee literally was the man with the golden gun.
