Some crackers there. Hoping for Croc Dundee or Clash of the Titans. 🐊💜

Dylan

Another great list. I always vote for all of them cause no matter which one wins I know Jen’s reaction is gonna be awesome 🔥

Geoff S.

Clash of the Titans is way over due! Final Countdown is great too with some pretty big stars.

Ian Cano

The Final Countdown (1980) is one of my childhood favorites.

Jason Weiner

Definitely do NOT do Iron Man unless you're rolling through the entire MCU. That said, PLEASE do Iron Man!

John Armbruster

Please please please watch a Knight's Tale

nick bell

Pee Wees.. is just an amazing film.

Loki Incredible

a Knight's Tale is the underdog film that wont get a lot of votes, but Jen would ABSOLUTELY love it

Brian Leonard

Some good stuff on here. I went with Iron Man and Jumanji. Dungeons and Dragons would be cool too.

Rayna Storie

A Knight's tale knight tale Knight's tale

Gábor Árki

Ah, The Final Countdown (1980). I've seen that movie at least a 100 times as a kid. Sadly, not really the kind of movie I could imagine winning a poll.

Loki Incredible

you can do iron man any time,, butyeah if you pull that sweater thread, folks will CHOMP at th bit for you do chew through the whole MCU

Loki Incredible

Clash of the Titans 1981 is a really cute and quirky stopmotion family/kids film and the remakes are NOT worth anyone's time, unless you just like big cgi battles

Jen Murray

If you would watch Dungeons then vote for it! If 'losing' movies get lots of votes I may still watch them. Vote for all you would watch reactions to 👍

Rob Nichols

Crocodile Dundee is a good one I've been hoping for. Clash Of The Titans is also long over due, can't wait for you to begin your Ray Harryhausen journey. I also love The Final Countdown. It was filmed on board the Nimitz, soon after my dad ended his cruise so he missed out on an opportunity to be an extra. Great movie and score.

JOEDATOR

PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE is more than a film, it's an essential text.

Jon Johns

Wow! Poll No. 100!?! Epic! If you start Iron Man, be prepared to go the distance. 🤣 So many good movies on this poll that you would really like!! I wish I could make you have fast, reliable, high speed Internet, so you could Livestream. So much to discuss, and chat about!

Jon Johns

I could be wrong, but I think many who teach Screenwriting hold that script up as a great example of how to write a script! Plus, the movie is just so fun! I was in college when Saturday morning pee wees playhouse was on, and I watched religiously. He is a class act.

Kevin M. Pitts

Not surprised by what’s currently leading, but a few thoughts on what I chose: Clash of the Titans (the above mentioned 1981 version) is pure early 80s camp. It’s a once in a great while guilty pleasure. Pee Wee’s Big Adventure: a groundbreaking that put both Paul Reubens and Tim Burton on the map. It’s nutty, fun, bizarre…a 90-minute fever dream. The Final Countdown: I put this in the same category as another 80’s alt history/present film: The Philadelphia Experiment. Really interesting films if you like the genre and enjoy the 1940s as a story era, as I do.

Jon Johns

Hey!!! Is it Thanksgivings by in Canada this week? 🇨🇦🍁🦃🪿I hope your goose is cooked! Or whatever y'all eat up there? Turkey? ham? 🤷🏻 I hope it's amazing. 👶🏻🥰

Kristin

Clash of the Titans. I worry that it's not going to get votes because of recency bias. But it's a great film. Great story, with awesome practical effects.

rubberkidney

you cant just put iron man on a poll i dont know what that means? whats you mcu completion currently? (iron man->end game) rest is trash.

Jason Scade

Oh, I forgot.. Huge congratulations on the #100th Poll. 🥂🥳🎉

Rob Nichols

And an awesome score 🎶

Kristin

I've never actually heard of it. Looks interesting based on the IMDB.

Jen Murray

As I've said in the past, I have seen a few scenes of some of the movies while baby sitting but never sat down and watched the movies. I'd love to, they seem fun. But I'm aware there are very strong opinions for/against MCU

Darryl Low

Clash of the Titans is pure 80s magic ☺

rubberkidney

i must have missed you saying that. yea i guess watch them then. pretty much cant go wrong in that range maybe a spider man movie gaurdians 3 outside of that. always perennially popular movies to react to as well. surprised you havent tapped that well already.

Jeff H

A Knight's Tale should be way higher.

Rob

You're going to love the MCU. The ride through Avengers Endgame is so fun and satisfying and you'll get a ton of views

JoeDaGamingNoob

I voted for Crocodile Dundee but won't watch it. My cousin Mikey played Linda Kozlowski's father; COVID took him in 2020 and it's still hard to watch his movies and shows.

mikethemotormouth

I'd love to vote for it and make the trek through MCU with Jen. I'm just beyond burnt out.

Major Peril

Salute to the Producers for The Final Countdown (1980) pick. 👍 Pure '80s time travel sci-fi fun.

Rob Nichols

Finally a producers' pick I like and it's next to last place.

Tyrone Tyrone

Or whatever y'all eat up there?😄

Jon Johns

Moose? Beaver!?! I know little about Canadia 🤣

Jon Johns

It's really fun! Lots of stars of the day, really creative plot, pretty intense pacing, some morality conflict thrown in there, a real conversation starter, plus just a fun watch!

thansen

I enjoy The Final Countdown, a fascinating premise, and while the showdown I was hoping for never materialized, it does have a fun twist ending. Nice score, too. Been awhile since I watched Iron Man or Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure, both are fun movies.

Zork

I can pick two!! :)

Lintrinsic

Pee-wee's big adventure is a must-watch movie. Great music and decades later I still quote from it.

Over50Gamer

Definitely YES to Iron Man! (And anything MCU for the Infinity Saga) Pee-Wee and Clash of the Titans are childhood faves, so there's my votes. 😁

Bret Kay

Crocodile Dundee - Yes, please!

W T

Yeah one more voice here... the majority of it is just really, really competent film making. None of the sketchy CW show slog, none of the wild variance in quality people were used to with DC productions. Honestly, Marvel always was pretty ahead at that point; Blade, Spider-Man, X-Men - all Marvel and pretty much defined how popular a given franchise can be. Endgame is definitely a bit of a milestone to go for, but in all fairness, the MCU still had plenty of great moments after that. Mostly, even the worse parts of it are just okay or nothing special, What If? sounded like it was pure filler but actually had some amazing episodes going for a bunch of fanservice on top... these things are popular for a reason, I suppose. Meanwhile, DC really did itself a solid with The Suicide Squad (imho no need to bother with the original movie) and then the Peacemaker show, which in itself is a great experience building on a good standalone movie with TSS. (and a last addendum: yes, people definitely latch onto MCU reactions. I think it's a combination of, uh, massive popularity, combined with what I heard to be very lax enforcement policies for the franchise, I often see people downright reacting to 3/4ths of a whole movie on YT)

Clay F

Glad to see that Iron Man (awesome) is beating Crocodile Dundee (a novelty). Iron Man is the best movie in the poll. Crocodile Dundee was part of our pop culture and thus could be worth a reaction at some point. However, I am hesistant to say that out of trembling fear that a reaction to Crocodile Dundee (acceptable) would lead to a reaction to the sequel Crocodile Dundee 2 (one of the worst movies ever made). For the love of god and all things holy, please never react to the sequel Crocodile Dundee 2 (absolutely horrible).

Brian Galvin

Hey jen 🖤🖤❤️❤️❤️🪵🪵🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍

Brian Galvin

That’s not a comment this is a comment

Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

I'm still hoping Grosse Pointe Blank gets picked. It lost by ONE vote to I-Robot (I think it was 215 to 216 or something like that 😄)

John DiGiantomasso

Pee Wee's Big Adventure is very underrated, but an excellent example of early works by very talented people! Director - Tim Burton Score - Danny Elfman Writer - Phil Hartman Another one of my TTAT (Top Ten All Time) collection! And it's very sweet, too.

Byrd N. Hand

Great. Another reactor I like (potentially) doing the whole MCU slog. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Also, I'd rather see you re-watch the first "Jumanji" over either of the sequels. 🤐

Byrd N. Hand

Yes, it baffles me that so few channels react to this one. For me, it's easily one of Burton's 5 best. 🤷‍♂️

Quantum Cat

Honor compels me to assert: Crocodile Dundee II was not all that bad. The plot is thin - but then, so was the first one. There is much silliness - as in the first one. In other words: It's not all that horrible, at least not to everyone.

Clay F

I respect your opinion but as I said, the movie is absolutely horrible. Bad acting. So much cheese. Humor not funny. Pathetic script. The only positive is Linda Kozlowski is beautiful. Crocodile Dundee II - IMDb 5.7, Metacritic 41%, RT 9%, RT audience 38%

nick bell

Is this the same Jon John from Cassie popcorns group? Just curious. Same name

Amarant Coral

I am a none of the above this week, but hey. I just noticed the movie posters on the poll image. I like it. That's a nice touch. Might encourage people to look up stuff they haven't seen before.

Eric Janssen

It’s a surprisingly underwhelming film.

Eric Janssen

We’re finally moving way from a generation that looks at Ray Harryhausen’s work in the 1981 Clash of the Titans and says “Claymation? [sic]}. Look at what they were forced to use before computers were invented, lol faaaail…. 😂” (One of the unfortunate reasons we got that unfortunate ‘10 remake.) And the original first Crocodile Dundee is too fun a movie to have dropped off of our 80’s cultural radar. Yes, the sequel killed Paul Hogan’s US career, but the first movie cemented our 80’s image of Australian cool that Mel Gibson started.

Byrd N. Hand

Ironic that the whole '80s image of Aussie cool was started by an American who simply grew up there. 🤨 I've never seen any of the "Crocodile Dundee" movies (one of just a handful of popular '80s movies I've never seen), but I've seen a fair amount of people who also enjoy the second one; the third one is where it genuinely goes off the rails, it seems. 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

I think most people can agree that the third one is where the franchise *really* goes to shit, à la Superman 1.0, Batman 1.0, "Alien," and "Shrek."

Noremac

Pee Wee is one of my favorite movies. Looks like it's gonna place third. All must bow before the crushing might of the MCU.

Eric Janssen

The first movie is a pleasant bit of 80’s fish-out-of-water fluff, the second is an action-comedy that was already old by the time it came out, and felt like it was betraying the offbeat sweetness of the first film. And if you’ve seen the documentary “Not Quite Hollywood”, the Australians laugh at 70’s Americans thinking Australian movies were highbrow art films just from watching “Picnic at Hanging Rock”. And then Mad Max arrived…. 😎

Happy Hanukkah

Please! The preferred nomenclature is "pigmentally-challenged." :-P

Happy Hanukkah

Familiar with turducken? Well, Canucks eat Moobeavoose.

Happy Hanukkah

I very much agree on the movie posters. Excellent initiative, Jen!

Happy Hanukkah

Congratulations on the 100th poll, with a lineup fitting for the occasion. (With the sad exception of the current leader. :-) :-( )

Jon Johns

Now you owe me a cola! I just spit mine out 🤣

Andy Thomas

Pee Wee’s Big Adventure is, in fact, the finest film ever produced.

phillip giroux

Turkey covered in maple syrup of course. 😄

John DiGiantomasso

I am seeing lots of mentions of PEE WEE. (*hint* *hint*) "That's my name. Don't wear it out."

Erik Lundmark

Can't believe Pee Wee lost... :-(

Erik Lundmark

My thoughts are; most people have a mcu fatigue, and it's both among those who like most of it a-n-d people who thought they all where just 'meh'. You also have the current status of people who decided to boycott the whole thing / Disney because of [reasons]. That said, up to end-game you should be fine, if you just do one every month you won't receive any complaints from grumpy old guys like me 🙂
