Wow what a thought-provoking story! You know I love a futuristic dystopia and this one had elements of destiny and determinism which had my wheels turning! What more can you ask for than a Spielberg/John Williams sci-fi! Very curious to hear your thoughts on this one

Tom W.

Keep up the great work, Jen. ❤️

Dylan

This is one of Tom Cruise’s absolute best performances. Arguably one of Colin Farrell’s too. Love them both so much in this.

Geoff S.

I think you’re ready for A.I. Kubrick’s vision executed by Speilberg.

Romero Cetera Rivers

I've waited so long for this one Jen...very excited! 💢😁💥

Ian

Such a cool concept, definitely wouldn't want it to be a real thing but very cool none the less , know you would enjoy this one Jen 🔥 I look forward to checking it out over the weekend . Love the thumbnail btw your pose is of epic prepositions 🔥🔥🙌

Jason Scade

Enthralled thumb pic! 😃💜 Delighted you loved this one. I'll be watching this tonight, for sure! This was a mega hit when released, I sold countless amounts (dvd).

Tim Arnold

Easily one of my favorite Hard sci-fi films and a top 5 Spielberg film for me.

Major Peril

Yes! Will be watching this tonight, for sure. One of my favorites and the best of the Spielberg/Cruise collaborations in my opinion. 👍

Great reaction. FYI, Lara wasn't in any (too much?) danger when she was in Lamar's office and realized that he was somehow behind it, because at that time, the precogs were back online. If he tried to kill her, precrime would have seen it, so he was stuck letting her go (until he could arrange her death like Anne's I would assume). He was foiled by his own invention.

Fish_Kungfu

Another great movie adaptation from a book by Philip K. Dick. PKD brought us Blade Runner, Total Recall, Paycheck, etc.

Noremac

I've never been super into this one. Blue and overexposed - blech! Looking forward to Apocalypse Now though!

Matt

The Adjustment Bureau 2011 is another good Philip K. Dick adaptation

Steve Holton

There is an interpretation of this film where the happy ending, where John Anderton is free and reunited with his wife, is actually a dream or hallucination he experiences incapacitated in the "mind prison" (a state of perpetual virtual reality in a "halo" device) after being captured. The idea that indeed everything after his capture is a hallucination is somewhat supported by the sudden positive reversal of fortune Anderton experiences to wrap up the story. But that is just a minority report 😊

Jeff Franz

RUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNN!!!!!

Harvey Lee

The combination of being directed by SPIELBERG , scored by John Williams and starring Tom Cruise yes i'm here for it and it is indeed a really thought provoking concept for a movie .

Over50Gamer

Jen's already seen that one. 😊

Tony Bain

Just an FYI. The murder of Crow by John did not happen the exact way it did in the pre-cogs dream and was changed. The time being off tells us that. John didn't murder Crow as in the dream but Crow DID want to be killed so after realising John wasn't going to shoot him Crow grabbed John's gun in his hand and pressed the trigger. Basically the same death different reason (suicide by John's gun vs John deliberately shooting).

Mastervodo

This would be great! +1 for AI. Plus, it's topical.

Lintrinsic

For a similar sci-fi vibe, I'd probably suggest Source Code (2011) or Looper, but I think you've already covered that one.

RealityCheck

Such an incredible film. Really glad you finally watched it, and enjoyed it.

Julian San

“…murder rates skyrocketed.” Lmfao 🤣 Jen is too funny!

Lintrinsic

Deja Vu (2006) is another movie with a similar vibe.

Tim Heron

The Precogs were all named for famous mystery authors: Arthur for Arthur Conan Doyle, Dashiell for Dashiell Hammett, and Agatha for Agatha Christie. And if you're interested in reacting to it, there was a short-lived sequel series that aired on Fox. It's hard to believe it's ten years old already.
