**** VOTE FOR ALL YOU WOULD WATCH A REACTION TO!! ****

I may watch more than top choice if others get lots of votes! Movies not chosen doesn't mean they will never be watched. They are still on my to-watch list so make sure you go upvote them on MOVIE REQUEST SITE

Last week was a mix of 60's-70's. This week it's 30's-50's👍

James Cain

Citizen Cain champions Citizen Kane.

Meanwhile, in Space....

I voted for most of these, but I wish I could vote for Some Like it Hot twice. It's a great movie and I think you'll love it.

Tom W.

I'm a Producer. How do I get in on these "picks"?

JPDotCom23

Come on people, ‘On the Waterfront’ with Marlon Brando, let’s get her to watch this

Jen Murray

If they all get lots of votes, I'll watch them all!

Dean

Damn!! Some real bangers in here. Honestly this could be a vote that is just about what *order* to watch all these in

Stephen Malloy

Gotta love the big ape. The original monster movie that all others owe their existence to.

Romero Cetera Rivers

🌀 "Vertigo" is considered to be Alfred Hitchcock's greatest film next to "Psycho". A must!

Rick Rodriguez

Quite literally ALL OF THESE I voted for. I've never seen None of the Above, though.

Michael O'Connor

After watching Citizen Kane you should watch the excellent YouTube documentaries on the real William Randolph Hearst. Dude was a trip and had mad wealth. I would love to go to Hearst Castle someday......

Jen Murray

I sent you a message when you joined and actually I see in our chat history (and my Producer spreadsheet) I do have a pick from you. It's from months ago. I keep entering your pick in the draw each week you are a Producer. You are free to message me any time to change your pick 👍

Geoff S.

Waterfront has one of the best speeches ever in film by Karl Malden.

Tom W.

Thanks, Jen. You're the best!

Kristen

All of these are amazing pics, you really can’t go wrong with any of them. Some Like it Hot is one of my favourite movies of all time and I think you would really love it!

Randy Aiken

Jen would love the music in La Bamba!

Matt

Citizen Kane and 20,000 Leagues for me two of my all time favorites

Jen Murray

If they all get lots of votes then that's basically what it will be 👍

Major Peril

Whoa! All of the above, please. 😳

Rob Nichols

And the HBO movie "RKO 281" about the making of the movie.

The Fly

It's gonna be a squeaker

Noremac

Great choices. I'd be happy to watch any or all of these. Maltese Falcon is my favorite of the ones I have seen - there are so many good film noirs.

Marcus Hicks

Lot of good I am, as I felt compelled to vote for *all* of them. Not a single bad or even average film on that list.

Mr. Writhms

Out of all these movies, I'm very sure Jen would like SOME LIKE IT HOT the best. 🤓

Mr. Writhms

Yes! It is my favorite on that list.

Byrd N. Hand

A bunch of pre-'60s films and... "La Bamba"? 🤔

Byrd N. Hand

I personally think "Vertigo" is Hitchcock's most overrated film, but I'll still watch Jen's reaction regardless.

Jen Murray

Ya i choose the Producer Picks at random usually

Ken Schneyer

Wow, a lot of genuine classics on this list.

Jason Scade

It'd be good to see The Maltese Falcon. And finally find out why it's so valuable... So valuable, that people are prepared to KILL!

Alexis Vorian

Well i never watched Citizen Kane, it would be a great opportunity to watch it along Jen.

Toc

Fantastic poll!!!! C'mon Citizen Kane (1941)!

Marcus Hicks

How could you say such a thing?!?! 🤪

Brian's Dog

Kong, but a close second on many of these.

Clay F

I voted these 5: Vertigo, King Kong, La Bamba, The Maltese Falcon, On the Waterfront.

Peter Dillard

Maltese Falcon is classic film noir. 20,000 leagues I saw in theaters and still love it. Some Like it Hot is hysterical :-)

DrJonasVenture

Really can’t go wrong with any of these

Wesley

These are all classics, whoever wins, we win.

Kristin

Agreed, it was good, but not one of my favorites.

Batguano

Good list - Vertigo for me. Another absolute gem from this era is The Third Man starring Orson Welles. A noir mystery with a very famous score, could be up your street.

Jon Anderson

Can't go wrong with any of these classics, but Some Like It Hot is the most purely fun one here.

Ian

Not seen any of these movies so I'm kinda looking forward to being surprised as I often am when Jen reacts to something new to me 🙂

Jake McNulty

This might be the first time I ever voted for 90% of a poll.

Gary Cameron

A whole bunch of classics! I've seen all of them, but it's been years.

zynjams

Citizen Kane is so overrated, its popular in film school.

Sarah Jane

Vertigo is a Hitchcock that never really grabbed me -- but I agree wholeheartedly with endorsing The Third Man!

Allen Porter

A lot depends on how much you know about the Hearst empire and the history of those times. It is an expose' of the effects of hubris on the human psyche. Also a lot of the techniques used in the movie were brand new and had never been used before. There is a reason they study it in film school.

Byrd N. Hand

I've just never been able to fully buy Jimmy Stewart in that role. I feel it needed to be someone like Robert Mitchum. 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

I think they're his 2 most overrated films, but to each his own. My top 5 Hitchcock would be "The Birds," "Rebecca," "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (the remake), "Strangers on a Train," and "Rear Window"/"North by Northwest" (tie).

Patrick Turman

It's not overrated. It broke new ground and was incredibly innovative in almost every aspect of movie making.

Byrd N. Hand

"On the Waterfront" being *that* far behind just depresses me. Even with one of the most iconic lines in movie history, it still gets virtually no love among reactors (I've only seen Cami from Popcorn Roulette do it on her solo channel, LET'S TUNE IN). 😔

Patrick Turman

Vertigo is my favorite Hitchcock. But it's an acquired taste that rewards multiple viewing. If you're willing to do that (invest your time & energy above & beyond what you would for most movies), then you'll come away with a movie experience different than any other you've ever had. That's what happened to me anyway.

Byrd N. Hand

My issue with "Citizen Kane" is the same one I have with "GoodFellas" and "Saving Private Ryan": I just never felt all that invested in its characters. 🤷‍♂️

Jeff Preiss

Love this list. Pay no attention to Kane naysayers. Who’s to say what film is the best ever made… but Kane is the best film ever to assign that absurd claim… because it’s certainly the most audacious… Welles was virtually a kid. His performance of aging is absolutely unmatched… and contrary to how it’s often framed… it’s wildly fun to watch… every shot, packed with visionary ideas, is showing off the love of its own craft and screaming to other filmmakers: catch up with me on the roller coaster! A little trivia: Kane production borrowed rear projection backgrounds that had been used for King Kong and at one point you can clearly see a Pterodactylus fly by.

Christian Rennie

Orson Welles, Humphrey Bogart, or Alfred Hitchcock? Who will win...? I'm up for all three... and I hope they all get seen at some point😀. It's the actual "Citizen Kane of movies..."

Lee

The more Hitchcock, the better.

Patrick Turman

Right? One of the greatest movies ever made and nobody watches it. Insane.

Patrick Turman

I hate to be "that guy" but watching a reaction of it is not the same as watching it. Go watch the movie and THEN watch Jen's reaction.

Alexis Vorian

I have 2 monitors, one for the movie and one for Jen, I really pay attention to the movie, it's like watching it with a friend.

Timo Turunen

I keep missing these.. Maltese Falcon or anything with Humphrey Bogart.
