Tom W.

Not a fan of these movies but I always love Jen.

Rob Nichols

Now that's a stacked poll, lots of faves here.

Geoff S.

Oh!! I hope it’s Kelly’s or Dog Day Afternoon. And not because there’s dog in the title and Jen is wondering if it’s about dogs!

Stephen Malloy

Kelly’s Heroes! Clint Eastwood and a great cast.

Jen Murray

OMG I would 100% watch a movie called "Dog Day Afternoon" about dogs in the afternoon 😂😂

Noremac

Much much better poll than the last few! I hope The Hustler pulls ahead. I saw that movie recently and it left a big mark on me.

Geoff S.

Pick it and see!

Matt O'Keefe

There is no choice for Kelly's Heroes

Michael T

Sorry, no dogs -- but it is one of my favorite movies ever and it would make a great Jen reaction!!

Starpartyguy

It’s hard not to vote for every single choice!

Greg In East TN

Thanks! It's a forgotten gem. Plus an all-star cast!

Justise

Because you literally said in your Grumpy Old Men commentary “these guys are the perfect odd couple”, you need to watch those same two men in THE ODD COUPLE

Matt

Dog Day is must watch imo, some of the all time greatest crazy acting from Pacino

Grizzly-5613

Kelly’s Heroes, come on, how is that not in the lead?

Jen Murray

Right! I'm thinking I must have heard before that they were in that movie together cause it's too crazy that I said that 😂

Jason Scade

I love it but I prefer 'Where Eagles Dare', it's like a Bond WWII action movie. Massive influence on QT's 'Inglourious Basterds'.

Jason Scade

Many true classics, but I want The Hustler to win, as it will lead to the set-25-years-later Scorsese sequel 'The Color of Money' (1986). ♥

Matt

✊🏻

Jim

For whatever my opinion matters, “The Hustler” is a must see. Then follow-up with “The Color of Money.” The same role played by Paul Newman with 25 years in between.

Toc

Dog Day Afternoon or Bonnie and Clyde, 100%, not even close, and i like a lot of the other titles.

W T

word

Michael Vila

Kelly’s Heroes! Every DAY & twice on Sunday!!!

Brando83

I went "Dog Day Afternoon" & "Kelly's Heroes." Strong poll!

Ian

Same I've wanted Jen to watch the hustler and the color of money since I joined her channel but have resigned myself to the fact it will probably never happen as the voting is showing 🥺

Clay F

That's my top 2.

Clay F

Currently 4th place. Tough competition.

JPDotCom23

Nothing like Al Pacino movies from the 70's, don't forget '...And Justice for All'. You're going to love 'Dog Day Afternoon'

Clay F

My top two choices are BONNIE AND CLYDE (AFI Top 100) (nom 10 Oscars incl. Best Picture) and DOG DAY AFTERNOON. Faye Dunaway is absolutely beautiful and provocative in "Bonnie and Clyde" (1967). I also voted The Hustler (1961) [charismatic young Paul Newman] and The Odd Couple (1968).

Rod

I went with The Andromeda Strain, and was surprised it was tied for the lead so far. I think Jen would like this one. A few comments on a few of the other movies: Despite having 2 top notch actors in Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon, I never cared much for The Odd Couple. I preferred the TV series. I find The Hustler a good, but depressing movie with no likeable characters. Kelly's Heroes is a decent movie, but too similar to The Dirty Dozen. I think Bonnie and Clyde is overrated, and I don't like how they are portrayed as almost folk heroes when they were actually murderous criminals.

Mastervodo

Haven't watched the Andromeda Strain in a while! That is like, a foundation it seems of many Star Trek Episodes! Jen would love that one!

Geoff S.

And Author Author. 1982 but has that 70’s feel.

Tyrone Tyrone

There you go with the positive waves😄

Tyrone Tyrone

Show me a man without a dream and I'll show you a man's that's dead...real dead.

To Wa

Very pleased The Andromeda Strain is currently in the lead!

Toc

100% agreed.

Toc

Ha! Love Author Author! I thought I was the only one! Ha!

Toc

.....and The Hustler is my third choice.....just like you! Right on, Clay! Always great seeing you!

Toc

You are the loudspeaker for my mind :D

TheNeonRabbit

Andromeda Strain is a great flick

Major Peril

The Andromeda Strain x 10 of course, another Michael Crichton (writer) film! But the rest of the poll is pretty stacked, too.

Randy Aiken

I guess this is Poll #109, Part 2 😀

Byrd N. Hand

Of course, I feel that performance laid the groundwork for some bad habits later in his career, but it was good the first time around.

JPDotCom23

Serpico was ‘73, his first Best Actor nomination

Ken Schneyer

This is a very good list of films, and I'd be enthusiastic about nearly all of them. The Odd Couple is a classic closed-world comedy, based on a great play and the source of a great television series; it features two of the great film actors of the 20th century. Bonnie & Clyde is part of an important cinematic conversation about the representation of crime & criminals, and displays magnificent early performances by its two stars who eventually became important film personalities. Airport is the original disaster film, featuring a dozen famous actors -- all the jokes in "Airplane" will make a lot more sense after you see it. The Andromeda Strain is the film adaptation of Michael Crichton's first novel, and a landmark in a certain kind of science fiction filmmaking. Dog Day Afternoons established Al Pacino n as one of the most important actors of his generation. Really, it's hard to imagine how you can go wrong with this list. The one hesitation is that, while I used to be attached to the 1960 "Ocean's Eleven" for sentimental reasons, the remake is so much better than the original that I now cringe when I watch the older one.

Patrick Turman

The Hustler is early Paul Newman. Probably in the top 5 of what is considered his greatest movies.

Byrd N. Hand

Speaking of Scorsese, I'd *really* like to see Jen do more director-specific polls -- maybe one every 3 months or so. She's only seen more than 5 films of a handful of major filmmakers, and Spielberg is the only one for which she's seen more than 10. She needs to pump those numbers up, IMO.

Byrd N. Hand

For all its popularity, I still don't think I've seen a single "Bonnie and Clyde" reaction on YT. 🤷‍♂️

Rob

Looks like it won't win but nice to see Dog Day Afternoon getting so much love

zynjams

Kelly's Heros, so satisfying. hope you watch this fantastic movie

Jason Scade

@Bird. Tempus fugit. A director specific poll would be outstanding! ❤️

Baroness Jennifer

Kelly’s Heroes was my mom‘s favorite movie. It’s pretty high on my list, too. I hope you get a chance to see this soon.

Sarah Jane

I'd love to see you react to The Odd Couple SERIES, with Tony Randall and Jack Klugman. LOL

Byrd N. Hand

I saw it 15+ years ago, but I remember virtually nothing about it... 🤔

Paul Deaconu

Dog Day Afternoon, the greatest career performance by my favorite actor, Al Pacino.

John DiGiantomasso

It's a mother beautiful movie. And it's gonna be there... (Sooner or later)

Jeremy V.

Is Greg the producer Pick? lol

John DiGiantomasso

Kelly's Heroes was a big deal for me in the 70s - never missed it when played on network TV. For me the best part were the "mock Tigers" which nicely approximated the real thing - versus just slapping German crosses on post-war US M-48 tanks like some other bulgey historical abomination movie from a few years earlier which I will not dignify by naming. Best historical lines of the movie are Kelly's "The Tiger is open country tank and we happen to have these in s small town" and Oddballs "It's a Mark Six - and we got 'im by the ass!" Love the production, drama, and humor of this film. That being said, Andromeda Strain is ridiculously scientifically accurate. They didn't build cardboard sets with cheap props - they built a working lab! It stands up very well even 50 years later. I am hoping for either of those two VERY different movies!

Jason Scade

I'm very fond of his 'Scent of a Woman', where he plays a very angry and embittered retired army colonel, who is blind. Prob my fave Pacino film. It has echoes of Good Will Hunting. I was super fortunate enough to see Pacino live, in Glasgow, in 2015. Just him on stage for around 2 hours, telling stories and anecdotes and chatting. Q&A's at the end. Was a fab eve. Legend! ♥ Still have my ticket stub. HUA! https://www.heraldscotland.com/life_style/arts_ents/13213998.hollywood-godfather-al-pacino-shares-stories-glasgow/

Ron

Jen, if you ever get around to watching The Odd Couple and like it, I also recommend a few other Neil Simon-written comedies: * Barefoot in the Park (1967) * Plaza Suite (1971) * Murder by Death (1976) * Chapter Two (1979) * Seems Like Old Times (1980)

Quantum Cat

I'd also advocate for Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues.

Byrd N. Hand

"After the Fox," "The Heartbreak Kid" (the '72 original), "The Prisoner of Second Avenue," "The Sunshine Boys," "The Goodbye Girl," and "California Suite" as well. ("Barefoot" was '67 BTW.)

Rob Nichols

War-time action with lots of explosions, humor, a great cast of quirky characters, great music, a heist, and Clint Eastwood. It's the most Jen movie on the list.

Ron

Thanks! Typo.

Jason Scade

Kelly's Heroes is fab! But for me, the ultimate WWII action movie is Where Eagles Dare (Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood). Massive influence on Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.

Jason Scade

@Byrd Steve Coogans and Rob Bryson do incredibly funny Pacino impressions. Check out UK TV series 'The Trip'.

Scaredy-cat

I could say something similar. It was my grandfathers favourite movie and I also rate it high. It's hilarious and a heist movie, no doubt Jen would like it.

Jeff Franz

It's The Out-of-Towners and Sunshine Boys for me. "Come in...and ENTERRRR!"

Byrd N. Hand

Yes, I've seen (and own) all 4 "Trip" movies.

The Fly

Thought I would mention that someone (not me) just added Anvil: The Story of Anvil to your request site and even though it may not get many votes it's a must-watch, whether on or off channel—a real-life Spinal Tap
