**** VOTE FOR ALL YOU WOULD WATCH A REACTION TO!! ****

I went alllll the way back to the very start of my channel to give all the sequels I never watched a chance to be seen! VOTE FOR ALL YOU WOULD WATCH A REACTION TO. If several get lots of votes I may watch more than one 👍👍👍👍

Movies not chosen doesn't mean they will never be watched. They are still on my to-watch list so make sure you go upvote them on MOVIE REQUEST SITE

If having issues voting - open the actual poll post, sometimes you can't vote just on the feed. If issues voting on mobile app-- try desktop!

Robert Cooper

Predator 2 because it's great. Crystal Skull because if I had to suffer through that, so should you.

JoeDaGamingNoob

Weird, every time I try to select something above the upper 'None of the Above' it in checks.

Collinson

Hmm a lot of these are where the franchise went one film to far but there's still some gems in there. Inside Out 2, Incredibles 2, Airplane 2 and probably my pick the much misunderstood Predator 2. Oh and while it's not for me I know there's a cult following for Alien 3.

Clay F

Anything but Predator 2. Also, say no to Alien3, Airplane 2, and especially The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

Thessair

My vote is for Predator 2. But I would support anything (even the disaster that is the third Mummy film) over the, IMO, unmitigated dreck of The Force Awakens.

Jen Murray

Try opening in web browser. Open the actual post, sometimes the voting is wonky if it's on the feed

To Wa

Jen, where's the Gremlins 2: The New Batch button?

mikethemotormouth

I was also having trouble voting using the app. Opened the poll in the browser and my votes stick 🤷🏽‍♂️

Thessair

Absolutely love the name! 🤣

Rob Nichols

Maybe that was meant to be Gremlins 2? I've been waiting years for that one.

Rob Nichols

Alien, Predator and Terminator all should have stopped at two parts, and Star Wars at six. I would prefer to see Tremors 2 and Gremlins 2 in place of these.

Jen Murray

I'm just working my way from oldest video posted forward

Jason Scade

I loved Alien 3 way back in 1992 when it was released. I think people didn't like it because it's such a huge change of tone from action packed Aliens, also how bleak it is. I loved it then and the new cut makes it even better (for me).

Over50Gamer

A lot of these are... um... the "red-headed stepchildren" of franchises, but there's still some guilty pleasures in this, AFAIC. Predator 2 is actually a good watch and has held up over time. Alien 3 is now a cult favorite (mainly the "Assembly" cut). I haven't seen Airplane 2 since I was a kid, and I thought it was hilarious back then. And i voted for Terminator 3 and The Force Awakens; i won't say why because my reasons go into spoiler territory.

Rob Nichols

Oh I understand, just thinking aloud. No worries Jen 🤍

TigerMyth

Might be the first time ever that none of them are interesting to me.

Jason Scade

Great poll idea, Jen. You overlooked Godfather II though. Surely your most anticipated sequel that's yet to come.

spacious_recroom

I voted "None of the above" on this one. You didn't mention which version of Alien³ you were going to watch though. If it's the Legacy Cut (www.a34k.net) I would definitely change my vote to that.

Clay F

IMDb 8.5, RT 93%, RT Audience 94% -- Alien (1979) IMDb 8.4, RT 94%, RT Audience 94% -- Aliens (1986) IMDb 6.4, RT 44%, RT Audience 46% -- Alien 3 (1992) IMDb 6.2, RT 56%, RT Audience 39% -- Alien: Resurrection (1997)

Jen Murray

I started at the beginning of the channel with oldest videos and did the first 11 sequels + Producer's Pick. I think Godfather would be #12 or 13 so next Sequels poll

Jay

Alien 3 and above should never be watched

Jay Melville

Oooh, Incredibles 2! That score is amazing!

Adam R

Under Siege 2 is one of my all time guilty pleasures. 😆🚂🛰

BakaOppai

Im just waiting for the next star trek movies

Analytical Guy

I really enjoyed Alien Resurrection (Alien 4). By the guys who made Delicatessen and City of Lost Children, and it had the same weird vibe as those movies. I'd be fine with Jen skipping 3 and going straight to 4. :-)

Banes

Haha - very interesting list here! I’ve always been a bit curious to see Predator 2; i gotta go with that one!

Analytical Guy

You and I voted for the exact same two movies! I know they are not as good as the movies that immediately preceded them, but they're both fun and/or interesting. Plus, another element I liked may be the same one that you didn't mention in the name of avoiding "spoiler territory."

Lee

There's one thing we can all agree on: this is definitely a list of movies.

David Brown

Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990).

Rick Rodriguez

I think Alien 3 gets too much of a bad rap. It's dark and dystopic. But there's undervalued qualities to it.

Senzu Bean

John Wick is one of those rare franchises where the following chapters gets better and better in terms of what it's selling the viewer: Unadulterated and stylized violence by a man in a suit. The cinematic choreography in chapter 4 is especially impressive.

JPDotCom23

Dude, 'Rambo, First Blood Part 2', 'Clear & Present Danger', 'Sudden Impact'

PopCycled

Alien 3, Alien 3, Alien 3 Then Predator 2

Jesse Hamm

I'd say, see Predator 2 exclusively for the music and nothing else. In the meantime, Airplane II is almost as funny as the original.

The Fly

Force Awakens in pole position, are you kidding me?

JFC

If you ever do watch Alien 3, watch the Assembly Cut release. It's closer to what the director (David Fincher) wanted than the studio-mandated theatrical cut.

Kane

I'm shocked Incredibles 2 isn't doing better, particularly because this poll has quite a few stinkers on it.

Clay F

Incredibles 2 not my kind of movie but one of the better movies in the poll.

Kane

And just for the record, I'm not complaining about the poll, bad movies can produce great reactions.

Clay F

Glad that The Force Awakens has enough momentum to overcome the SW sequels hate. Disney did great with the SW sequels. J.J. Abrams did awesome job with The Force Awakens. IMDb 7.7, Metacritic 80, RT 93%, RT audience 84% = The Force Awakens IMDb 6.3, Metacritic 46, RT 29%, RT audience 44% = Predator 2 (1990) IMDb 6.3, Matacritic 66, RT 70%, RT audience 46% = Terminator 3 IMDb 6.2, Metacritic 48, RT 41%, RT audience 50% = Airplane 2 IMDb 6.4, Metacritic 59, RT 44%, RT Audience 46% = Alien 3 (1992)

Kevin Sommerfield

I have no idea how you are doing ANY of this with a 6 month old, but I am grateful that you are! Thanks so much for the fun and laughs!

Alexis Vorian

Hmm i'm rooting for Predator 2 on this one, it was a decent sequel.

Bryan Tuck

If I may offer a counterpoint, I would recommend the theatrical cut for a first-time watch. The "Assembly Cut" is probably closer to what Fincher originally intended, but he declined to participate in the reconstruction of it, so it's impossible to say what his final cut would have looked like. As it stands, the Assembly Cut is essentially a polished version of a workprint. Valuable, but shouldn't be considered the "official" version of the movie. The theatrical cut is what most people saw first, and it's what gave Alien 3 its reputation, for better or worse.

Bryan Tuck

I kind of like Alien 3, but like Godfather 3, it suffers in comparison to its predecessors. But if nothing else, it's fascinating as an early indicator of David Fincher's distinctive visual style. And I honestly would recommend the theatrical cut for a first-time viewing. The Assembly Cut is interesting as a look into an earlier working version of the movie, but sort of like the Richard Donner Cut of Superman II, it takes a little extra explanation for it to make sense. :)

Rick Rodriguez

True. But they get bad movie reps when it should be more flawed but good reps.

Erik Lundmark

Ugh... Alien3 and Predator2 for me

Byrd N. Hand

Some people *still* can't differentiate Disney Star Wars from George Lucas Star Wars, I guess... 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

I'm more shocked "Inside Out 2" is third from the bottom, just barely holding off the universally hated (I thought) Die Hard 5. 🤔

Byrd N. Hand

"Crystal Skull" still looks like a masterpiece compared to "Dial of Destiny." 🤐

Byrd N. Hand

I can't believe so many people evidently still give TFA a free pass. 🤦‍♂️ Come on, folks, many of the problems with that trilogy (and Disney Star Wars in general) were established right there from the start: awful world-building, bland/totally non-descript new characters, painfully self-conscious fan service, undercutting certain story points from Eps. I-VI, changing how the Force and hyperspace work, the often more modern-sounding/MCU-esque dialogue and humor, uninspired alien and creature designs, same old rehashed planetary environments, the list goes on...

Byrd N. Hand

The handling of 3 particular characters at the beginning is what undercut it the most for me. I hate when sequels insist on reverting to the status quo purely for the sake of it instead of embracing the new normal established at the end of the previous movie. 🤔

Thessair

Let's be honest, Lucas Star Wars had plenty of stinkers. The Ewok Adventure films? The Holiday Special? The Droids and Ewoks cartoons? The Prequels? But that doesn't excuse garbage like TFA.

Thessair

TFA is just a retread of the ANH with a bunch of Abrams mystery box nonsense slapped on top. Better to just watch ANH again. Predator 2 is a much more enjoyable film, for all its flaws.

Byrd N. Hand

All that stuff is still more watchable than nearly everything Disney has put out, as far as I'm concerned. The issue with the prequels was strictly execution; give Lucas a more deft screenwriter and more actor-friendly co-director to work with him and the PT would've nearly been on par with the OT. The ST was conceptually shit from the start; there's no fixing that without completely starting over from scratch.

Gábor Árki

As another counterpoint, the TC of Alien 3 hasn't been finished by Fincher. He essentially walked away after principal photography finished due to the constant clashes with studio execs. The TC was finished by the studio without any involvement from him. The assembly cut at least was made based on his workprint and notes despite declining to be involved.

Byrd N. Hand

"Godfather II" would already be running away with this poll had it been included (which might not have been a bad thing, given the current leaders 😒)... and I'd have then only voted for it on the condition that she also watch Part III immediately after it without having to be prompted.

Byrd N. Hand

I personally don't mind T3. It at least still somewhat upholds the integrity of the first 2 (can't say that about the other sequels), though, as with "Jurassic Park III," the formula was definitely starting to wear a bit thin. Also, that ending... I also like "Prometheus," though it would've greatly benefited from a more committed sequel; "Covenant" instead largely ran away from Shaw's journey, which the most intriguing part of the movie for me. As it is, I view it more as an in-universe spinoff rather than a proper "Alien" prequel. Thankfully, Jen has already reacted to it. The only condition I'd have accepted Star Wars Eps. VII-IX is if they actually stuck to the story George Lucas gave them to use in the first place *and* allowed him to consult on various aspects of the movies, such as specific story details, world-building, lore, mythology, design, etc. Instead, they threw his treatments in the trash and told him to go pound sand, and that's why they're in this current situation where the IP is nearly dead. 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

If the first 3 Indy movies are the Star Wars OT, then "Crystal Skull" is the PT, and "Dial of Destiny" is the Disney ST.

Byrd N. Hand

I would've also liked to have seen "Sudden Impact," "Hannibal" and/or "Red Dragon," "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," and "Monsters University" in the poll (the latter 3 are technically prequels, but whatever).

Joel Butts

Airplane 2 is so underrated if for no other reason, William Shatner.

Scaredy-cat

Me too. I definitely prefer Predator 2 to Predator 1. So as sequels go, it's a good one.

Rob Nichols

Completely agree on Star Wars. My issue with A3 and T3 isn't so much the films themselves, it's just that they were unnecessary. Aliens and T2 were satisfying conclusions, as was SW6.

jon bolton

My favourite Terminator film gets my vote.

Byrd N. Hand

Abrams is a one-trick pony hack just like M. Night Shyamalan. Both managed to con much of Hollywood into buying into their respective one-dimensional contrived gimmicks (the 'twist ending' for the latter, and the 'mystery box' for the former). They'd both be better off serving as strictly for-hire directors who should be completely barred from the writing process. At least TROS seems to have finally exposed Abrams to most of the industry's higher-ups, since he hasn't made a single project in the 6 years since...

Clay F

I never understood the sheer hate by the bitter minority for the genius J.J. Abrams. They resist change at all cost, resisting change for the mere sake of resisting change, and want to be slave to some old formula. Predator 2 is horrible.

Jason Scade

Oh, I see. That's very exciting to hear! 😁 Thank you so much, ma'am. 🫡

Jason Scade

Hi Byrd. I do think this is an interesting and varied sequel poll. 🙂👍 I just wasn't aware there'd be more to come. It's the channel that just keeps on giving. 🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁

Jason Scade

I like Terminator 3 a lot, guilty pleasure. And Kristanna Lokken! I know it's appalling, she kills all those people, teens, cops, etc. But what a frigging arse she has on her. 😍❤️

Jason Scade

Woohoo for future Gremlins II. "Come now. There's a nice creature." 😂😂😂❤️

Jason Scade

I used RT often and IMDb fairly often. 👍 But I don't always agree with RT or IMDB ratings, my friend. For the most part, I do, and it is a generally decent indicator. But there are some films which RT critics scored 35 - 50%, that I've hugely enjoyed. Other times, I've been underwhelmed or disappointed with the occasional highly rated RT film picks.

Jason Scade

Haha, yeah Crystal Skull was somewhat soul deadeningly mediocre (at best). 😂

Clay F

Jason, good points. My experience has been similar.

The Fly

Predator 2 hangin' in there! My first choice was T3, which I've got a soft spot for despite the flaws—anything but Disney Star Wars which I find generally unwatchable; the exception being Rogue One but even that has worn thin for me after a few watches

John Shepard

Why was Sudden Impact not on this list? Dirty Harry have not been completed yet ether. Better than all on this list to me. I will say that I did have to go with Ghostbusters with this list.

Jen Murray

As I said, I started at the very start of my channel and went forward. These are the first 11 that have sequels, plus a Producer's Pick. There are almost 800 videos on my channel, many of which have sequels

Rob Nichols

All they have to do is eat one or two small children and there'd be the most appalling publicity.

George Foot

It'd be good to check what is easiest for others to watch along with on streaming services

Byrd N. Hand

R1 is indeed the, er, least bad thing Disney has crapped out since taking over SW, and the Battle of Scarif is the closest they've come to actually feeling like Eps. I-VI. The biggest problem is probably the incredibly bland characters (only K-2SO is remotely memorable, and I feel it's more because he's basically 3PO with R2's personality). Also, I feel the whole decision to make the Death Star's exhaust port a deliberate target for the Rebels kind of undercuts Luke's moment of first genuinely tapping into the Force in order to launch the torpedos to destroy it. 🤔 T3 is still in third, so there's still some hope. Maybe we'll get another last-minute comeback the way "Hook" did in the previous poll. 🤞

Jason Scade

A mighty guilty yes please to Rambo: First Blood Part 2, please. 💥🗡️

Jeremy Nuss

Somehow, people grew sick of him. 🤔

Clay F

R1 is awesome. Many newer and younger viewers prefer that over the original trilogy.

Byrd N. Hand

It still baffles me that TFA is likely going to win this poll. 🤦‍♂️ While perhaps not technically the worst movie on here (that would likely be either Mummy 3 or Die Hard 5), it arguably did the most damage to its respective franchise (though many, for some reason, only retroactively realized it, after its follow-ups came out 🤔). Meanwhile, none of what I perceived to generally be the most well-regarded sequels here ("Incredibles 2," "Inside Out 2," and maybe also John Wick 4) will even crack the top 5. 🤷‍♂️

Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

I hope we get to other sequels before going through the rest of Star Wars. I love the first 6 movies, but the sequels are rough 😄

Byrd N. Hand

Argaubly the most squandered opportunity in movie history... 😒

Joe M

You’ve really put off watching the last two Mission Impossible movies and the last John Wick movie long enough. Please Jen, sometime this year 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Rob Nichols

Since you'll be rewatching the previous Star Wars films to prepare for The Force Awakens, would you consider doing reactions to the original theatrical cuts of the original trilogy? At least that way it won't seem like a repeat.
