Predator is back and this time he's taking on the cops in the city! This one had a really different feel than the first one, probably due to the change in setting and also the change in main character! Danny Glover held it down though 💪🏾 Cool music throughout as well! I'm really interested to see Alien vs. Predator now, any takers?

I am hoping you continue with your Predator journey, through Prey and the most recent Badlands! However - skip The Predator 2018, because it's just bad. Que the response of people who claim that movie is their most favorite of all time. Watching this right now with Jen!

Ian

Totally forgot you were watching this 🤦 different feel indeed , I'm really looking forward to checking your reaction out but first gotta finish the latest treks 🙂 cheers for all your awesome reactions this week Jen you're the best 🔥

Ian

Definite yes to alien Vs predator I mean my answer is always yes but truly though you're have fun with that one and it will make for an epic reaction 🔥🔥

Death Lego

Yes AvP is a whole bunch of fun.

Darryl Low

Going to make my dinner and then fire this movie up and watch it with you Jen 😊 Very different to the first one, but it does have a lot of really cool and exciting set pieces. A crazy cast of all the major action character actors of the time, and Alan Silvestri ramps up his theme and score from the previous movie.

Harvey Lee

Definitely a worthy sequel , cool to see the Predator (a different Predator of course) In an Urban Jungle environment . The premise being the Predator only attacks those that are armed this being set in 1997 LA pretty much everyone is armed .😆 Saturday matinee for me yes Thanks Jen .🤘

Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

IMO I would just end the franchise on Predator 2 and watch Prey (and maybe Predators?) and know you know Bill Paxton was the only actor that was killed by a Terminator, an alien and a predator 😁

Matt O'Keefe

This movie adds a lot of lore to the predator species as a whole.

The Fly

Predator 2 for me—along with films like Total Recall—represent the high water mark of cocaine-fueled 1980s Hollywood action-excess. We'll never see another era like it

Jason Scade

True Romance (1993) touches on it again.

Michael Tuffin

Yes, the Yutja respect honorable combat. The only reason dissed this movie upon release is because Arnold isn’t in it. It’s actually a good sequel that honors the original and builds on Yutja (their race) lore. It’s much more loved now because future movies, like AvP, were broadly, and correctly, panned. It’s worth skipping AvP and AvP2, imho, and going directly to Prey, which was a Hulu release

Ian

Really enjoyed that 🙂 the predators collect skulls as trophies and yes that was the skull of an alien in the trophy wall , the gun was handed to our hero as a trophy for his victory. The other alien movies aren't necessary for watching alien Vs predator but id still enjoy a reaction to them from you if you wanted to 🙂 . Btw the guy you couldn't place was in under siege

Rob Nichols

This was a perfect sequel, more of the same but with a very different feel. Alien vs Predator is dumb but it's dumb fun so why not continue?

I am not interested in Alien vs. Predator, i.e., I am not a taker.

JPDotCom23

Ok, the first person you should have recognized with the swat commander at the beginning, that was Steve Kahan, who played Captain Murphy in 'Lethal Weapon', the second person, the blonde FBI agent was Gary Busey, also from 'Lethal Weapon', played Mr. Joshua. Adam Baldwin is another you recognized, you may remember him from 'Full Metal Jacket' or 'The Patriot'. Robert Davi is another familiar face, he was one of the FBI agents in 'Die Hard' and Franz Sanchez in 'License to Kill'. I'd love to see you check out 'Alien vs Predator'. 'Alien 3' is a hit or miss, only redeeming thing about that, for me, is David Fincher directed it, really good action too but otherwise you can do without it,

Over50Gamer

Commenting around 30 minutes in to say that your "HEYAYUUH!" got me LMAO! 😂😂😂

Over50Gamer

Adam Baldwin was also Jayne, for anyone who loves Firefly. :)

Never really liked this one that much, but I'm here for the re-watch with Jen to get her take. 😳 Always thought Alien vs. Predator (2004) was an OKAY watch because it explains the origins of the Predator/Xenomorph cross-over and because of the struggles and interaction between the two main characters (predator and human). Also, anything Predator-wise beyond AVP except for Predators (2010) and Prey (2022) is well... NOPE.

Vina

Release order is the only order that really makes sense. My personal recommendations are: Alien (1979) - you've seen Aliens (1986) - you've seen Predator (1987) - you've seen Predator 2 (1990) - you've JUST seen Alien³ (1992) - it's ok, you and the community can decide Alien Resurrection (1997) - meh, you and the community can decide AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) - decent, you and the community can decide Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007) - very meh, skippable Predators (2010) - pretty good, worth a watch (builds some lore) Prometheus (2012) - controversial, you and the community can decide (builds lots of lore) Alien: Covenant (2017) - controversial, you and the community can decide (builds lots of lore) The Predator (2018) - very meh, probably skippable, you and the community can decide Prey (2022) - excellent, a MUST watch Alien: Romulus (2024) - very good, definitely watch Predator: Badlands (2025) - very good, definitely watch

Great reaction to this one. I believe the pistol given to Harrigan as a "participation" trophy will show up again in a later movie. 😄

Opti_Frog

I never really clicked with the original Predator. I like this one a whole lot more. Apart from anything else, it has a much, much better ending. My friend and i often quote King Willie to each other, and every time i'm supposed to be ready playing team multiplayer games online i say "El Scorpio is reeeeady," and no one has a clue what i'm talking about. 😅

Jason Scade

Alien: Earth (2025) created, written and directed by Noah Hawley (Fargo TV Series) I thought was *very* good. It's set 2 years prior to the first Alien from '79. A:E has 1 season, so far. 8 eps. Some of the body horror is The Thing-esque.

Jason Scade

Great reaction, exciting and tense! Just as my 1st viewing was for myself back in the day. It's not in the same league as McTiernan's Predator but it's a decent expansion of the world, I thought. And it's aged pretty well, being 36 years old now. In Predator II, the minor role police chief, played by actor Robert Davi, who you know from The Goonies, also was in License To Kill, 007's main antagonist. The blonde Fed guy is Gary Busey, you know from the first Lethal Weapon, he played a main villain. Was clumsy with cig lighters. AvP 1 and 2 aren't highly regarded with critics or audiences, generally. But I did enjoy them on 1st viewing, when they were new. I'm sure you will too. How well they'll do with views on YT, is anyone's guess. I'd watch your reactions of them, in any case. Predators (2010) is pretty solid, good cast. Prey (2022) is superb! Almost certainly the best predator film since the original. Predator: Killer of Killers (2025) is an animated collection of 3 stories in different time periods, I thought overall it was very good. Predator: Badlands (2025) I haven't yet seen but it has an 86% RT critic's score and a 95% audience score. So I've high hopes. Great job, Jen. Hoping to see more fearsome Predators and slimey Aliens on the channel soon. The recent Alien: Earth series, I thought was superb. From Noah Hawley, the same writer/creator and director of the awesome Fargo tv series. A:E has 1 season of 8 eps. It's set 2 years prior to the very first Alien film from '79. Great acting, some characters you really bond with, some extremely tense scenes and some brutal blood, guts and body horror. It's The Thing-esque sometimes.

Clay F

Agree that Prey (2022) is the best predator film since the original.

Clay F

React next to the excellent "Prey" (2022) to end the Predator franchise on the channel.

Harry S

Please watch Alien vs Predator! Thanks!

Jesse Hamm

You may recognize Gary Busey as one of the lead villains alongside Tommy Lee Jones in "Under Siege", which you did a video on two years ago.

Andrew Roach

Sad to see this weak movie comes before Napoleon Dynamite, Moneyball or Memento, 3 movies I continue to wait for.

Alexis Vorian

The dinamic is hunter vs hunted, if the hunt kills his predator, that's it, end of story, plus he let the weapon go. The gun with the 1715 year on it means they've been here for many centuries.

Clay F

+1 for Moneyball.
