Thanks for all your hard work, Jen. ❤️

Ian

Jenerama Thursday and a futurama upload is perfection , I can't even express how much fun I'm having watching this show with you Jen and can't wait to check this one out in a bit . You're the friggin best 🔥✨

Geoff S.

Dang! I'll have to watch these later. I want to watch now!

Curran Dobbs

Oo, the movie they were parodying when Bender was behind his love interest helping her bend the beams into a heart was the clay pottery scene from Ghost. :)

Ian

It is indeed a parody of Amazon women on the moon 🙂 it's under an hour and a half so not long so YES why not give it a watch it sounds wacky and could be a right laugh , I'd definitely be up for watching along with you 🎉🔥

LookingForOwls

Most of the parodies in the titles aren't actually parodies that the episode does, just clever references. Good movies to make sure you know for later this season are Spacejam (pretty essential) and Charlie's Angels (not nearly as essential) Surprised you didn't seem to recognize Zapp's spoken word Karaoke as a parody of Shatner's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdUMICxLXhM

Darryl Low

Amazon Women on the Moon is certainly one of the most bizarre collection of short stories you'll ever watch. A lot of familiar faces. A lot of well known directors. Very funny in parts, downright baffling in others. Would require a fair bit of editing for YT. Plenty of "boobs" moments 👀😅

Vina

Zap's karaoke bit is a reference to William Shatner's rather weird musical career, where he speak-sings a lot, and probably directly referencing his rendition of Rocket Man, which you HAVE to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wI4jMxveyI

Ian

Not a problem Jen has a really fantastic editing team 🙂👌 . Lots of familiar faces you say , I like the sound of that ✨

John Sullivan

True. And you can probably have somebody check what (if any) movie spoilers are in the episode to see if you need to watch it. You often won't need to watch the movie first

John Sullivan

you feel Jen's disappointment at Amy's sensual salad

Henchman Twenty1

The Fembot pretending to be a Femputer was voiced by none other than Bea Arthur of Golden Girls fame. She also voices one of the Amazonians. This episode (3x5) is the origin of the term "Snu-Snu", though it seems to have fallen out of use as of late.

William Rosmer

despite the goatee flexo is the good one. bender is the evil one. also zoidberg did get a gift from robot santa.

Gary Cameron

Another great reaction, Jen! The song Zap "sings" on karaoke night is "Lola" by the British band The Kinks about a guy who mistakenly falls for another guy in drag. This keeps up a running gag about Zap's ineptitude in dating. When he first meets Leela, he says to Kif "This time, we're sure it's a woman, right?", then in the episode where Fry's head gets put on Amy's shoulder, Zap's date for dinner is clearly a man in drag.

Gary Cameron

And of course, the goatee is a reference to Spock's beard in "Mirror, Mirror".

Gary Cameron

And the song itself is "Lola" by The Kinks.

Colin Simpson

You never give your thoughts at the end of Futurama episodes like you do for most of your other reactions. Why is that?

Henchman Twenty1

Jen stated going into this show that it would be this way. Just her raw reaction to the episodes with no post commentaries. Maybe a time availability thing? Besides all of the reactions she records she also has to care for her infant son who she hopefully has not named "Zapp".

Jen Murray

I didn't do analysis or review of Seinfeld either. I don't really have a lot to say after these episodes. I just enjoy them and say everything in the reaction

Stephen Dias

I'd say the title of the episode is a spoof of "Amazon Women on the Moon," but the plot is entirely different. Yes, the movie is a bunch of ridiculous shorts crammed into one movie. Parts of it are definitely good for a laugh.

LookingForOwls

Zapp is also very confused by his feelings for a crossdressed Leela in "War in the H word"

Gary Cameron

Oh yah, forgot about that one!

Thegonagle

His name is Miles O’Brien Murray.
