Godzilla Minus One hands down for me. Never thought I'd tear up watching a Godzilla movie.

TC Green

A lot of great movies here but for me, Godzilla Minus One is one of the best movies I have ever seen.

2026-10-07 05:00 So many great movies. Godzilla Minus One is one of the best, if it wins you’re gonna love it Jen! 🔥

I love these "200" polls -- a neat idea. Your choice doesn't have to "win" in the traditional competitive sense, but instead reach 200 votes in a multi-voting (approval style) format to 'win.'

Vaderfan1

Godzilla! I've seen all 30+ Godzilla movies and it's definitely one of my favorites. It's incredibly moving and emotional. You'll love it!

Clay F

Glad to see all choices are within the last 11 years. I like newer movies. Glad to see Godzilla Minus One (2023) is off to a fast start toward 200 votes.

Rob Nichols

Godzilla Minus One was awesome, glad to see it taking the lead so fast. You're gonna love it.

The_Truth

I think you should watch DEATHBLOW - When someone tries to blow you up, not because of who you are, but for different reasons altogether

MattN

solid group!! ngl I kinda love the 200 poll idea!! I'm wicked excited now when I see them

GordonColeVibes

Still haven't watched a single David Lynch movie 😨

Noremac

I'd love to see a David Lynch reaction. The selection of movies this week is a sad list indeed.

John Armbruster

The Big Short is good, but you have to watch Margin Call with it.

Jen Murray

Literally have Dune 1984 already on next week's poll

Kane

I just realized Jen has never seen the Creed movies, given how much she loved the Rocky movies this is a collective failure on our part. I hope she still remembers them. Also, I've been a big Godzilla fan my entire life, I think outside of the original 1954 Godzilla, Minus One is my favorite.

Joe W

Godzilla Minus One and it's not even close.

Banes

Don’t you know, I’m a 2000 poll! And my kids they just dont understand me at al- wait, it’s 200 poll, not 2000. And frik im old. Or my taste is…

Stephen Dias

Honestly, I enjoy the Leslie Nielsen "Naked Gun" movies; the 2025 movie was just trying too hard, IMO.

Jeff Franz

Sack Lunch for the win.

W T

2025 was pretty darn fun, but I just like Akiva a lot (not that anything comes close to Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping). Wasn't perfect, but then again, neither were the Naked Gun movies and they definitely made it work. It did make me laugh a whole lot and got the right nods at the right things, but obviously that's up to preference. Or maybe that's my inner mensch telling me to automatically love it for obviously spiting one of the many artists-turned-idiot-grifters we've been dealing with over the decades, David Zucker. Dude blew up over his oh-so-holy legacy - like making the pure concept of grabbing stone weewees funny somehow legitimizes having the worst takes on politics or any subject out there, really. Either way, it's a good romp.

W T

The Big Short is probably my favorite out of these, great bit of pop-explainer on the unfathomable dynamics of, well, modern life, downright illustrating how weirdly robust the world has been with the many different types of powder kegs we've been arranging around ourselves - but... The Accountant is a close second. Doesn't strike all my chords perfectly - and I won't spoil the premise here - but it does a pretty good job highlighting a subject people are vaguely aware of without really knowing anything at all. It's still a stylized movie about an outlier, sure, but it still gets a whole lot right and doesn't get awfully campy. Always enjoy watching this one for sure.

W T

Paul Bettany would get so much stock on this channel

W T

Seing the word Godzilla always just triggers my desire to watch Arrested Development, I simply can't help it (it's also incredibly moving and emotional) But yeah. The bar for the entire franchise was kinda low throughout if I think about it, but Zero sure deserves the attention it got. I don't have many Japanese movies I go around recommending, but this is in there, next to maybe One Cut of the Dead, Survive Style 5+ and, in particular, Love Exposure. Which I still can't get over, honestly - not that four hours runtime and niche releases are an easy reaction sell, lmao Which makes me think, this channel is pretty rich in classic, older reactions. Underexposed (often meaning "foreign") films don't really get a shot, and I feel like all polls (ever, really) heavily suffer from having bad candidates barely even competing against each other. 90s-00s-10s movies that didn't get huge releases would be a nice category I think, but here, too, the recommendation system just flattens out the long tail of less seen flicks. Oh well, we'll find some way.

Haven't seen it, but that doesn't surprise me. Comedy in the 21st century has gotten way too broad, unsubtle/in-your-face, and just plain stupid for my tastes. I honestly find most of Wes Anderson's films funnier than most mainstream pure comedies these days. 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

Except "Dune" is pretty much his worst film; it's only gotten more traction in recent years due to the new adaptations by Denis Villeneuve. "The Elephant Man" might be the best way to ease into him, but his true masterpieces are "Eraserhead," "Blue Velvet," and "Mulholland Drive" (the latter still being my favorite film of the 21st century so far).

DrJonasVenture

Blue Velvet is always my first choice for someone’s first David Lynch film.

DrJonasVenture

I’m hoping that you watch One Battle After Another soon, primarily because Jonny Greenwood’s score is going to blow your mind.

Byrd N. Hand

I only care about "The Big Short" myself. 🤷‍♂️

Mastervodo

Add me to the ones who are very excited to see Godzilla Minus One in the lead! I started watching Godzilla when I was a little sprout and it was just guys in rubber costumes, and planes on strings! And IMO Godzilla Minus One is the BEST Godzilla movie, EVER, no contest, 1st round 1st ticket Hall of Fame LEGENDARY! And it isn't even because of the radioactive lizard! Love it! Can't wait for Jen to react!

Mastervodo

Proof you don't need millions of dollars and overly-done CGI to have an epic blockbuster!

Mastervodo

Tears. Streaming. Down. Face.

Jason Scade

It would so awesome if Jen reacted to zany 80s tv comedy series Police Squad! starring Leslie Nielsen, sometime. His 90s 'Naked Gun' films are a continuation of the show and he plays the same character. It's only 1 series of six eps, under 30 mins each. It's superior to all the films and was too ahead of its time, so it got cancelled. It's A+++ tier tv comedy. ♥ A fab time will be had by all.

Jason Scade

Excited to see Superman (2025) catching up, I've not seen that yet. :D

Allen Porter

No movie made before 2015 :-( I like to see Jen react to classics.

Mastervodo

I like Jen's variety.

Allen Porter

We all have our preferrences, that's what makes the world go around :-)

Jen Murray

I have posted classic polls a lot in last few months: Jan 19 1960's-70's, Jan 26 1930's-50's, Feb 2 1980's, Feb 23 1950's-60's, Mar 17 1980's

Allen Porter

And I watched them, I like the classics, I like you, just to watch a reaction I like to have seen the movie myself first lol or I'd just watch the movie. Plus I think the classics are better movies, which is why they're classics lol.

Joe Blankenship

I'm rooting for Superman, but Godzilla -1 is an excellent choice also. Maybe throw in the original one as well.

Joe Blankenship

I've been hesitant to watch it. I'm not sure if I can handle THAT much of Liam Neesons trying to be funny.

Joe Blankenship

I wish there was a place to stream the dubbed versions of old Toho Godzilla movies. It loses a lot of the charm with the subtitles. The words not matching the mouths kept them interesting in the boring parts.

Jen Murray

Go Godzillllllla almost there! 🦖

Mastervodo

Oh no! There goes Tokyo!

Colin Simpson

There are some OK movies here but The Big Short is the only important movie.

Daniel Conderman

The Stupids. someday a reaction channel is going to listen and realize they have been missing out on pure gold

Clay F

If poll were concluded now, Godzilla Minus One (2023) would finish in 1st place but LOSE b/c has not reached 200 votes to get a reaction. Godzilla Minus One (2023) currently at 198 votes. Needs 2 more votes. I am not a monster movie guy, but Godzilla Minus One (2023) is an excellent movie. Special effects Oscar well deserved. Good human stories.

Byrd N. Hand

It's over the threshold now, so it's a moot point. I was under the impression that Jen would still watch the top vote-getter regardless, and the 200 thing was just more a determination of whether she'd also end up watching any other title(s) in the poll, should they also reach/exceed that number. 🤔

Clay F

Byrd - good point. She doesn't clarify in the text, so to me is uncertain. But your assumption (impression) makes sense. Yet, I think at least one time a "200" poll has no entry that reaches 200 votes, she should do no reaction (including for 1st place having <200 votes) to emphasize the nature of the poll. Plus, if a poll candidate can't reach 200 patron votes, does make sense to have a reaction w/o greater patron interest? There are 1,595 paid Patreon members. Glad Godzilla Minus One (2023) surpassed 200 votes.

Joe J

His Dune was much more entertaining for me than the new one. As for his other films...not really my cup of tea.

Joe J

I think I've seen enough reactions to Godzilla Minus One. It's hard to beat in a Poll though.

Clay F

Cassie's reaction is the only GMO reaction I've seen, and the only time I've watched the movie. I never did watch Ames' GMO reaction. I may watch Ames' GMO reaction and Jen's GMO reaction simultaneously. I like Jen's comments and analysis. Looking forward to it.

DrJonasVenture

I liked it. Probably my favorite Superman movie since the first two with Christopher Reeves.

John DiGiantomasso

Bunnytails did a good one. She did all of TOS and is now in season 2 of TNG. I

zynjams

Twisters is a great movie. it only got 60 votes. unreal
